Working Title: the royal navy new – I have chosen this title because you can tell what my
magazine will include in it without reading it so the people who want to read this type of
thing will see it and pick it up
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Product’s Purpose: to educate people on the doings of the royal navy so that they will try
get involved if they are interested and maybe even try and join up, the main goal is to make
the people who aren’t as interested in the navy more so
What is the product’s purpose (entertain/educate etc.) and how will you achieve this?
Genre: it’s a political magazine for people interested in the navy, which will inform people
on the day to day doings of the royal navy which will be much different to the stereo types
it will be known for, it will have a bit less action it it for some more detail and context with
writing
What sort of product is it
Content it is about the royal navy and how to apply and the best ways to be prepared for it
in terms of fitness and being in the right frame of mind for what you might go through
whilst being in the royal navy, it will have stories of other people’s experiencesbut it won’t
have an actual story to it because it is about doing something for your self which will allow
you to have lots of great memories
What is your product about? Discuss what you would put in it (be specific). Does it have a story? If
so, discuss it here
Audience: young adults 16-19 who will be looking for something to get into the navy with
some stories of others experiences, any social status because anyone can succeed in it
and everyone is treated equal, I would appeal to people this age because these are the ages
of people who will be looking what to do next and I think it is the perfect opportunity to get
out into the world and do something
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc
Why would your project appeal to this person?
Legal & Ethical Considerations: younger people may become offended by the things the
royal navy does I will try minimise this by putting in an age rating, I will also not go into any
detail about any controversial war or events to make sure I don’t offend anyone from
different back grounds i.e. social, religious and ethnic backgrounds
Think about any offensive material you will include?
Will you restrict younger people using/accessing it?
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities?
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone?
Are you using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs?
Will you product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for copyright
infringement?
