week that your kids will actually eat. Of course, ideally, these lunches not only have to taste good,
but also provide real nutrition, to help your kids learn and grow.
Much research has been conducted on nutrition and its relationship to brain function, cognition,
learning, and social behaviors. What science has shown time and again is that nutrition has a direct
impact on the brain's neurotransmitters, which are important structural components that play a big

We are coming to the end of our ??? year of the Country Gardeners. It has been an eventful year.
First, our President, Carol Linkiewicz, was honored as the "Tutor of the Year" in the Wayne Pike
Adult Literacy Program for her success with incarcerated adults. The organization "has been
providing tutoring and study materials to adults who reside in Wayne and Pike counties since 1987."
("The News Eagle." June 9, 2016.) Congratulations Carol!
Thanks to Carol Rick and Bonnie Christiansen, we have had two very interesting and successful bus
trips this year. The first in May was to the Sculpture Gardens in New Jersey.
Our second trip was last week to the Meadowburn Farms in Vernon, New Jersey. The dahlias were
in full bloom and were gorgeous. The grounds are in the process of being refurbished while
maintaining their historical significance. We were fortunate to see these gardens as they are only
open one Saturday a month during the summer season. After the tour we had a 6–course meal
nearby at the Milano Restaurant in Hardyston, NJ. Great good and atmosphere!
Thank you to Judi Mortensen for planning the car trip to see Michael Le Vine's gardens in Hawley.
Michael is a very creative landscape designer. He designed the gardens around the Visitor Center on
Rt. 6. The Club has been invited back next year to see his gardens and the new pond he is currently
building.

I. Introduction
A. Attention Getter – What do you call cheese that isn't yours? Nacho Cheese. The main ingredient,
in my favorite dish baked macaroni and cheese. Shredded cheese to Velveeta cheese all melted
together, to form the perfect combination. The perfect dish to have alongside some crispy fried
chicken.
B. Tie to the Audience – Most of us can say that we have eaten a good serving of macaroni and
cheese in our days. Whether It was from your grandmother, mother, aunt, or even a friend. But this
dish is so simple to make you too can pull it off, and make it as delicious as grandma.
C. Credentials – Having five kids, that love macaroni and cheese, I think that I can make a pan of
bake macaroni and cheese blind folded. I have become the best baked macaroni and cheese maker of
all times, In my kid's eyes. They love it and request it at least times a month. Even my fiancé loves
it.
D. Purpose – The purpose of my speech is to inform the audience on how to make the perfect pan of
Baked Macaroni and Cheese.
E. Thesis/Preview – Today I will be going over with you all the ingredients, the steps, and how long
it takes to bake the perfect pan of Macaroni and Cheese. So, you too can become a master. And have
your family screaming for more. II. Body
A. Main Point One – The first thing in making the best pan of Baked Macaroni and Cheese is to
make sure you have all the proper ingredients.
1. There are many different types of cheese that you can use in your baked Macaroni and cheese.
According to Racheal Ray Star of the Food Network "30 Minute meals", the best kind of cheese to
use is Shredded white cheddar cheese.
2. For my own personal recipe I use 3 kinds of cheese, which are Velveeta Cheese, Shredded Sharp
Cheddar Cheese and Mozzarella Cheese. Which all fuse together to make the perfect taste. But if I
want my mac n cheese to have a little kick, I will sometimes use Guy Fieri recipe" Mac Daddy Mac
n' Cheese", and add Shredded Pepper Jack Cheese.
3. The rest of my ingredients I use to prepare my Baked Macaroni and Cheese are, 1 box of elbow
macaroni, 1 can of 2% condensed milk, 1 large egg, half stick of butter, teaspoon of black pepper,

Tips for this Baked Chicken Sausage Mac & Cheese and Making the BEST Mac & Cheese Ever
First things first, do NOT use pre–shredded cheese when you make macaroni and cheese because
the anti–caking agents that manufacturers toss the shredded cheese in will affect the quality of your
Mornay sauce meaning it will affect the way it thickens and melts. (Mornay sauce is basically
béchamel sauce with cheese added...aka the glorious, velvety cheese sauce that makes mac & cheese
so tasty!) So purchase blocks of cheese and grate them yourself by using a hand grater or a food
processor. For this recipe, I used my food processor because that's a lot of cheese to grate! LOL
The pasta, yep, picking the right pasta is what will make or break your mac & cheese. Stick to elbow
macaroni or cavatappi and stay away from shells, bow–ties, and fettuccine or linguine. The ridges
on cavatappi pasta allow the rich cheese sauce to grab hold and stick for ultimate eating pleasure.
The next important thing is to use warm milk to make the béchamel sauce. It's easier to incorporate
warm milk into the roux to prevent lumps, in my experience. If you read up on béchamel making
you will discover that a lot of chefs say to use hot liquid with cold roux or cold (or cool) roux with
hot liquid. The key to lump–free béchamel is to incorporate the milk slowly. I ladle the milk into the

to be a chef who spent years in culinary school. I've just eaten and cooked a lot of friggin steaks and
have figured some shit out along the way. First off, if you start with a decent cut of meat that is nice
and thick (1 ½ inches or thicker) that's half the battle. If you use a good cut there is no reason to
slather a bunch of crap all over it. Onion salt, lemon pepper, garlic salt etc. etc. Just heat up your

⦁ 1 pound sliced turkey breast (any kind you like)

PUTTING IT TOGETHER:
First, with your rubber spatula, spread cream cheese over the whole flour tortilla evenly, (like you
are buttering toast). Leave a little space dry around the edges.
Second, using only the bottom half of the tortilla, place turkey slices (about 5) on bottom edge and
sides. Sprinkle with shredded cheese (like you are making a pizza), olives, artichoke hearts, and
spinach leaf.
Next, start rolling the flour tortilla away from you (sort of like a burrito, but don't tuck the sides in).

Personal Narrative: Baked Macaroni And Cheese
I walked into the kitchen, and laid eyes onto the limestone kitchen counter where ingredients lined
up as the sunlight beamed through the window, highlighting the upcoming meal. I did my

I knew that my taste buds would soon be overjoyed. I smelled the aroma of buttery, macaroni and
