1. LOOKING BACK AT YOUR
PRELIMINARY TASK, WHAT DO
YOU FEEL YOU HAVE LEARNT IN
THE PROGRESSION FROM IT TO
THE FULL PRODUCT?
2.
3. My magazine is a lot better than the 1st one was and I have
used a lot more forms and conventions to make my front
cover look better. My music magazine involves conventions
like date line, headline and cover lines. Although I had used
conventions in my preliminary task the positioning was bad.
In my magazine now I have positioned things to make the
front cover look like a proper magazine and changed text size
for different pieces of text. The magazine look a lot different
and the first one is very simple and doesn’t really look like a
magazine whereas my music magazine looks a lot better. The
overall look of my magazine is a lot smoother and more
professional .

5. For my contents page I have made a lot of progress and I
have added a lot more forms and conventions. I have
included simple things like a date line and columns but they
all make the magazine look more professional. I also added
categories and have learnt how to position text well so that
there is more space for pictures and text. Through the use of
adding these forms and conventions and understanding
where to position things I have made a magazine that looks a
lot more professional.
6. I think from the preliminary task and my finished piece I have
made a lot of progress and it can be seen through the final
piece. Although I used a lot of the obvious conventions I
didn’t use the less obvious ones but I have learnt that they
are needed to make the magazine look like a proper
magazine. I have also learnt how to use other softwares
better making it easier to make a better final piece. I think I
have made a good looking magazine compared to my first
attempt and have learnt about target audience so that my
magazine has an appropriate house style that suits the genre
of music.
