2. As you can see that this front cover of a
college magazine hasn’t followed codes
and conventions this is mainly because I
didn’t really understand the task, however
you can now see that if you compare
preliminary task to my main task now you
can see that my new front cover looks more
professional I think this is mainly because its
more structured and the colour scheme
doesn't really work or is very appealing to
the eye. Its not something I think many
people would buy as it doesn't follow codes
and conventions of a magazine I also think
that the model isn’t as its best and the
quality of the picture could also be better.
When doing my preliminary task I didn't
really know what to do as I had never really
used Photoshop cs4 therefore found it hard
to do, also didn't really know much about
codes and conventions about a magazine
therefore when it came to doing the task I
struggled a bit just like many people did.

3. This is my final copy of my
preliminary task contents
page, as you can see the
image isn’t that interesting
and there isn’t really a good
target audience who would
really want to buy this and
read about what it’s about . I
think that there are many
improvements which are
needed in this task however
at the time I didn’t have the
knowledge or the skills on
how to make it better. I also
think that the image
consisted of the same thing
to much and that it didn’t
really show anything that was
talking about anything
different it’s all on the same
topic. Including that a
professional magazine would
have more information and
more content within the
page

4. This is my final music magazine front cover as
you can well this by comparing my new front
cover to my preliminary task you can see that I
have made many drastic changes to make my
main task more professional. I have done this by
following the codes and conventions of a music
magazine correctly. As you can see my cover
lines are evenly spaced and they consist in the
same font to make it look attractive and eye
catching. I have positioned the model in the
centre of the page as then this will engage the
audience more it also helps by the fact he is
using direct address which will make the fans
and audience feel like the model is looking
straight at them. My model makes my magazine
look more like a professional magazine. I have
blended the tile carefully behind the models
head which you can tell is on the t of the title
.Including that by having a barcode this has also
followed the codes and conventions of a music
magazine also by the image of him posing like a
Rap God to show that he is a singer and the
clothes that he is wearing signifies rap and hip
hop also with is hood up young and musical.
Which was what I was aiming for, this shows
what the magazine is about.

5. This is my final content page I think
that by having three title’s I have
positioned them well exactly
underneath each other which
follows some codes and
conventions by staying within the
three guidelines. I understood
what to do in the task more as I
knew what I done wrong in my
preliminary task therefore I could
learn from it. This contents page
has stayed within my colour
scheme and the pictures in this
contents page look more fun and
busy. I also think that my titles are
sub headings are very bold and
stand out compared to the other
contents page I did .moreover I
think that the audience find it
easier to find what their looking for
on this as it is more structured and
better laid out not like my
preliminary contents page which
was not structured or organized.
