1. Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
2. From the preliminary task I have progressed a lot in the making of magazines. My preliminary task looked armature which is understandable for my first experience with making a magazine. My music magazine looks much more professional and with my recent music magazine I can actually see it on the shelf next to all the other music magazines such as ‘Blender’ and ‘Q’ magazine. I took my own advice in using just one image on the front cover but I styled my model differently and had her in a more professional and interesting pose using the whole body. I kept simple things similar such as the title and the anchorage but I have developed them by using a more professional text and different size text and I made it more interesting by using different colours and I took more of a risk with my music magazine than I did with my school magazine as I had more time and care with that task.
3. As you can see my contents page I made for my preliminary task is very amateur and un inspiring. I liked the way I used the layout of my contents page with the numbers slanting downwards for a more visual effect. But I do think my contents page looks more professional than my preliminary task. I took more time and effort into making my magazine contents page as I am getting marked on this and I wanted it to look as good as possible as I did have more time to do it. I used Photoshop for both of the contents pages but you can tell which one has the more effort put into it and I added a lot more detail to take it to that next level of professionalism.
