A: Seventh grade class – 20 students which include: 20 12-3 year olds (12 girls, 8 boys, 3
African Americans and 3 Hispanics)
B: The student will be introduced to some famous authors and their works
C: It will be done by being attentive, accessing resources around the room and in the
library, or wherever else off-line resources may be available.
D: The students must have at least one off-line source before online research is started.
S: Select methods, media, & material
For the first day, the students will simply use resources available to them in class as well as pay attention
to any famous works that I have that exist in the classroom. I feel as though it is important to use inside
resources (in addition to the internet) before delving into the internet straight away. That way, when
they go to use the internet later in the week, they will have some information to start off with.
U: Utilize Media & material
All students will be given the opportunity to look for resources in the room and resources in the library
for the first day.
R: Require learner participation
Students will be required to have at least one off-line resource by the first day, and even more would be
ideal. Before the end of the day, students and their sources will have to be approved by me before they
will be able to continue on with their online research later in the week.
E: Evaluate and revise
Since I am simply introducing material to the students for today and letting them find their own general
information, I will simply be evaluating them on having at least one source – not necessarily on accuracy
of anything. Students must have at least one off-line source before they continue with further research.
Otherwise, they will not continue.
