1. Wednesday:
A (Analyze the learners) - The class is made up of twenty High School Freshman. Three students have
mild to severe ADHD. Twenty percent are African American and eighty percent are white.
S (state objectives)- Students will learn how a Pinterest account could be beneficial to find different
ways to present projects and how they can communicate to one another as well by sending their “pins”
to one another. Students will also complete another Web Quest, but this time they will be doing the
Web Quest on their own.
S (Select methods, materials and media) - Students will use Web Quest to complete an activity, as well
as learning how to navigate through Pinterest.
U (Utilize Media and Materials) - At the beginning of class I will assign an essay topic that I would like
the students to write about. This will probably be about the life of William Shakespeare and I want the
students to write about any aspect of his life. This includes his growing up years, his years of writing
sonnets, writing plays, and even his family life. Students will then get on the Web Quest and complete
the task that I assigned to them. Once they finished that, I will then do a brief overview of Pinterest.
R- (Require Learner Participation) - Students will be asked questions by fellow peers and myself as well.
Questions could be about what they think would be beneficial about using Pinterest, what information
they learned by finishing the Web Quest.
E (Evaluate and Revise)- Students will go around the room and talk about what they will be choosing to
write their essays about as well as mention a couple of facts that they learned through their short time
of research.
