1. Monday:
A (Analyze the learners) - The class is made up of twenty High School Freshman. Three students have
mild to severe ADHD. Twenty percent are African American and eighty percent are white.
S (state objectives) - Students will learn the basic biography of William Shakespeare. The students will
learn this history by observing a poster that has been made previously that will hung up in the front of
the classroom throughout the entire week and the class will watch a Storytelling YouTube that was
made just for the class of information that I feel is necessary facts that one should know about
Shakespeare.
S (Select methods, materials and media) – The students will observe a poster that was made using
PowerPoint, and watch a Storytelling video that was created by myself and posted to my personal
YouTube account page.
U (Utilize Media and Materials)- At the beginning of class I will ask if students have ever heard about
Shakespeare and I will also ask what exactly they know about the man. From those questions, I will start
talking about the poster and name off the basic facts that are listed on the poster. After that I will then
get on the internet and show the students the storytelling video that I had created for the class.
R- (Require Learner Participation) - Students will participate in class discussion of what they know and I
will allow time for any questions they might have about Shakespeare.
E (Evaluate and Revise)- I will divide students up into 5 teams of 4 and I will ask a question about what
we had covered during the beginning of class and for each correct point a team receives, they will
receive an extra credit point for the end of the grading period. Students enjoy incentives and extra credit
is always a nice incentive.
