introduction it describes a "watershed" event as an event that marks a change of course from the past that can be considered either positive or

The Signing of the Magna Carta Those in our country that teach about the United States government will at one point bring up the signing of the
Magna Carta as a pivotal point in the establishing the principle of the government is accountable to the laws of the common man. Before this point the
king sat on high and dictated how people were to live there lives alongside the church while not being held accountable to the laws that he made. This
lead to great resentment when a king was seen as tyrannical. So the Magna Carta or 'the Great Charter' was created to help curb the King John II of
England when he wanted to continue the war with France, set boundaries on what the king could do without the consent of the 'council', and bind the
ruler of the land to his subjects in such a way that he had to obey his own rules. In the time leading up to the signing of the 'Great Charter' King John
had lost his holdings in France after several unsuccessful military endeavors. To help reclaim these holdings King John demanded that his barons

In the late evening of March 3rd 2002, through to the evening of March 4th 2002, Special
Operation Forces were engaged in an intense fire fight with al Qaeda forces on a mountain top known as Takur Ghar. This battle was the product of a
botched reconnaissance insertion and ultimately resulted in a 24 hour fire fight and the deaths of 7 U.S. service members and over 200 al Qaeda

Enzymes are high molecular weight molecules and are proteins in nature. Enzymes work as catalysts in biochemical reactions in living organisms.
Enzyme Catecholase is found on in plants, animals as well as fungi and is responsible for the darkening of different fruits. In most cases enzymatic
activities are influenced by a number of factors, among them is temperature, PH, enzyme concentration as well as substrate concentration (Silverthorn,
2004). In this experiment enzyme catecholase was used to investigate the effects of PH and enzyme concentration on it rate of reaction. A pH buffer
was used to control the PH, potato juice was used as the substrate and water was used as a solvent.
The experiments involved PH buffers of different pH were added to potato juice, water, and the enzyme catecholase. The mixture was then subjected to
spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 420nm taking the absorbance readings. In the second experiment, a phosphate buffer of PH 7.0 was used in
different measures together with different measurement of potato juice and the enzyme catecholase then subjected to the spectrophotometer at a
wavelength of 420nm. The data collected inform of table and analyzed using descriptive statistics such as line graph and later interpreted, showing that
PH and enzyme concentration do affect the rate of enzyme reaction

This storyline was all based around moving Mrs. Frisby home to safety in order to steer clear of plowing season. Throughout the story, we are able
to witness Mrs. Frisby go to extreme lengths to save her home and keep her family happy. Although it is not an easy process, Mrs. Frisby never
gave up. Her home was her safety net and the place where her family could all be together. Mrs. Frisby and her children were especially lucky to
even have a house. Although it was a slightly damaged cinder block, the hollow kind with two ovals through it, but it was the place they called

Instead of relocating, she travels all over to find a way to solve her problem, which, in the end, is accomplished. In comparison to the impact Mrs.

The data taken from the lower end of the KOH column were recorded in a table. When the KOH in the control, shifted away from zero, the
differences were recorded and adjusted in the data table. For accuracy purposes, the measure in the control tube, that had deviated from zero, was added

When the final readings were recorded, the stoppers were removed. The Mung beans seeds were carefully removed as well and weighed on the scale.
All data from the 5–minute interval at 40 minutes total, were recorded. This included both treatments. The means of the data were taken down and
plotted into a line graph. The slope of the lines were calculated and presented in figure 1.
Results:
Figure 1 shows 2 linear lines of best fit, with line y = .56 being treated with 200 c. Where as, line y = 0.29 was treated with 100 c. It shows a positive
correlation between incubation time and the volume of oxygen consumption. The weight specific respiration for the germinating Mung bean seeds on
the 200 c treatment was 116.28 ml h–1 kg –1. . Where as, with the 100 c treatment, the weight specific respiration was 60.98 ml h –1 kg –1. Line y =
0.56 has a steeper slope than line y = 0.29. A higher temperature treatment of 200 c has higher consumption of

Abstract This lab was performed in order to discover the activity of the enzyme catecholase in different pH levels as well as its absorbance in
differently concentrated solutions. A spetrophotometer was used to measure the absorbance of the enzyme catecholase in different pH solutions as
well as to measure the absorbance of catecholase in solutions with different concentrations of potato juice and phosphate buffers. Absorbance of the
enzyme catecholase was at an optimum level when pH was close to neutral. When pH was acidic or basic, the catecholase was less effective. Also,
when there was a higher concentration of potato juice and a lower concentration of phosphate buffer, absorbance of the enzyme increased.
