What Was The Underlying Cause Of World War I Dbq
It all began with an assassination,by a Serbian nationalist on June 28, 1914 in the Balkans. The
Archduke of Austria Hungary was shot and killed in his own vehicle, which sparked war between
Russia and Germany and the alliances that went along with it. The Allies consisted of France, Great
Britain, Russia, The United States and Italy, while The Central Powers consisted of Austria
Hungary, Germany the Ottoman Empire and Bulgaria. The underlying cause of World War I
consisted of three reasons, Militarism and Alliances as well as Imperialism being the most
important. One underlying cause of World War I was Militarism. In 1890 Germany and Austria
Hungary spent together about 40 million pounds, and in 1914 increased their spending to 150
million pounds (Doc C). As well as that Great Britain, Russia and France spent 100 million
pounds and increased spending to 225 million pounds (Doc C). This shows that a buildup of
arms was an important underlying reason for the war. In a speech before the German Congress
Bernhard von Bulow spoke about how worried he is about England, France and Russia based on
their acquiring of colonies around the world and how he does not want to Step on the toes of any

The significance of the cartoon The Crime of the Ages is to show each country pointing a finger
at each other and blaming each other for the war (Doc B). The hand in the corner of the cartoon
is there to point at how the peace of Europe was destroyed by alliance systems (Doc B). This
cartoon reveals that alliances just made the war bigger and more complicated. The war began
between two countries and alliance systems brought in multiple outside countries into the war to
support and protect the alliance that they were in. This evidence supports the claim that the
Alliance system was an underlying cause of the war because of how easy it was for a war between
two people to turn into one between

The Issues of Ethics
Issues of Ethics
The two major ethical theories that have the most relevance and prudence to my contemporary
views are utilitarianism and those aligned with the concept of a categorical imperative. The
philosophy of the former of these was widely pioneered by both Jeremy Bentham and John Stuart
Mill. The notion of a categorical imperative was largely popularized by Immanuel Kant. In all
actuality, the efficaciousness of these philosophies is widely determined by the particular moral
dilemma which one is facing. Still, the true value in both of these theories lies in the fact that they
can be applied to a wide variety of situations and help to dictate moral guidance. In many respects,
utilitarianism, which is a branch of philosophy known as consequentialism, presents a diametrically
opposed philosophical stance of that propounded by Kant and his categorical imperative (Boylan,
2009, p. 176). There is an extreme sense of mutability that accompanies the former of these
approaches to ethics, which is attributed to the fact that the behavior that is determined most ethical
depends on the circumstances that result from that behavior. Specifically, the action that produces
the most good, to the most amount of people, is adjudged by utilitarianism to be the proper ethical
decision to make. It is interesting to note that in this philosophy there are varying degrees of good
produced. Quite often, ephemeral good or that which affects a finite amount of people is considered

The South American Megacity New York And The Asian...
1.0 Introduction
The world as we know it is experiencing an unprecedented shift for the first time witnessed in
human history. It wasn t even 100 years ago that the world was still overwhelmingly rural with
global urban population rates around 10%. Fast forward to 2015, now accounting for roughly
around 53% of the worlds population living in cities and is projected to rise to around 67% by
2050.1 The comparative analysis sets out to understand the opportunities and challenges among
the North American megacity New York and the Asian megacity of Beijing. The metropolitan
area of both New York and Beijing consist of a population each over 10 million people, which
generally defines as a megacity. A megacity can also be coined as world city, global city,
megalopolis, metropolis, conurbation, and agglomeration. Megacities such as New York and
Beijing are comprised of a central core, surrounded by satellite cities within daily commuting
distances, separated by greenspace. Thus, urban agglomerations can be numerous cities and towns
when they are linked by the flows of people, goods, and information, as long as the aggregate
population exceeds 10 million.2
Sustainable development of megacities offers a new concept for the world economy in the twenty
first century. The focus of the paper is to understand the challenges and opportunities of sustainable
development within megacities through urban structure/growth, economic structure, affordable
housing, air pollution, and

Mandatory Concealed Weapons On Campus
Because of the changes of brutal criminal acts on college campus, numerous professional weapon
extremist have recommended that both the college student and college instructors ought to be
permitted to carry concealed weapons on campus. Those for this may assert that their rights have
been damaged on the grounds that numerous school grounds decline to permit weapons of any sort
on grounds. It is not the privilege to convey a firearmwhich is in level headed discussion here, yet
rather it is whether firearms ought to be permitted on a school grounds. The Constitution of The
United States of America as of now concedes nationals the privilege to carry concealed weapon,
and being in the south, I am by a wide margin no outsider to seeing a firearm every once in a
while, however it is not proper for firearms to be in a defenseless region, for example, a school
grounds. There are as of now an excess of firearms accessible to the general population, and
permitting them on an instructive office would extraordinarily improve the probability of harm or
demise. Americans, as beforehand specified, have the privilege to carry weapons, and this ought to
be held sacrosanct, and not encroached, taken away, or restricted. Then again, stricter guncontrol
ought to be executed for the individuals who decided to convey a hid weapon, and firearm control
ought to be carried out by having stricter accreditation forms before a gun or firearm grant is
issued, escalated mental assessment for the

Docudrama Iron Jawed Angels Analysis
Many believe that the feminist movement started in the 70 s when feminism became more of a
household name, but in reality the feminist movement started with the suffragist movement. The
docudrama Iron Jawed Angels directed by Katja von Garnier in 2004, tells the story of passionate
and remarkable young suffragists, Alice Paul and her friend, Lucy Burns, setting the stage for what
a progressive and determined womanduring this time should look like. Alice and Lucy are two
activists who just arrived from London and are meeting with Carrie Chapman Catta and Anna
Howard, leaders of the National American Woman Suffrage Association. Carrie and Anna are more
conservative with their activism, while Alice and Lucy want to take the bull by the horns and fight
for a constitutional amendment that would... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The parade draws much needed public attention, but much of it is not positive attention. The
women start to get attacked by men while the police stand idly by and let it happen. The younger
activists are actually pleased with the publicity they end up getting, including the front page of the
newspaper, despite all the negativity that came with it. Even with all the hard work these women
put in, President Wilson does still not see women s suffrage as an important enough issue to be
dealing with right now. With all of this happening, Alice decides it would be best to create a
separate organization of women that is solely dedicated to adding an amendment to the constitution.
This causes the relationship between the more conservative activists and the younger activists to
deteriorate, leading to more trouble within the suffragist movement. Fast forward in the movie and
members of the party begin standing at fence of the White House with a banner stating their
demand for a constitutional amendment. This causes much of the public to turn against the
suffragists, possibly doing more harm than good for the

Theories And Theories Of The Social Analysis Of Max Weber,...
Concepts are a general idea about something commonly delivered as a single word or a phrase
such as Power Freedom and Revolution . Whereas, theories are an explanation of observed data
which is conveyed as reliable. As it is difficult to give one singular, finite and definitive definition to
both terms, the definitions offered above are the perspective through which the two will be looked
at in this essay. Concepts and theories influence political analysis through marginalising important
aspects to be considered within them, stretching definitions to allow concepts to reach beyond their
limits and by displaying biases through underlying assumptions. Nonetheless, this is not
problematic as they allow us to think critically and widen... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

As reality is in fact quite complex these concepts allow us to shrink reality which reduces
complexity making it easier for us to analyse that which is being observed. This betters our
understanding of politics through allowing us to simplify the political world. This is done through
creating categories which make politics seem simpler to engage with and understand which shows
us that concepts are in fact not problematic but helpful when analysing.
However, this is not the case as when looking further it becomes clear that are a result of
simplifying there are certain implications. This is evident in Weber s conceptof the ideal type
which states that concepts are created by putting forward the central feature of the phenomenon.
This in turn marginalises other features that play a part. It becomes problematic as politics is
complicated and intricate in its nature and requires every aspect to be explored. Concepts simply
ignore the parts of the political world which make politics political . Ultimately leading us to fail to
investigate and explore that which defines the political world. Wedeen explores this further when
analysing Democracy in the minimalist sense which constrains ourselves to simply a state level
definition. Nevertheless, when looking at Democracy further in the interpretive way it is found in
places like Yemen in the Arab world

Joseph R. Desjardins Views On Sustainability And Ethics
Joseph R. Desjardins is a brilliant writer that holds business and society accountable for the way
the conduct themselves. Desjardins believes that being sustainable allows you to reach your
potential, and the potential you are supposed to reach allows you to picture a prosperous future
and this makes you ethical. Desjardins views on sustainability and ethics give me no choice but
to not agree with his views; due to the fact I feel like his view on society will increase
knowledge. Our society doesn t promote education like other societies, so many countries promote
education a lot more than we do; these countries have a lot more educational advancements that
our society also has the power to get access too, but we choose to put or work efforts... Show more

Who wouldn t like to see a society that promoted ethics and sustainability? This just simply can t
happen because of the culture business had since the beginning of time. Business has always been
about find new ways to increase profits, there are very few business that actually care about the
consumer. The things we hate about successful business owners are the things that have made
them successful. Business owners have been so use to do with they know so what makes
Desjardins believe they will change the habits that has always worked for them. The change to
having business more sustainable is a dream that I would like to come true, but unfortunately that
will never happen because of the greed and cut throat attitudes that business owners have. If
businesses continue to make money the way they are accustom to; what will make them change?
I believe if more business become sustainable and gather a strong following from the consumer;
then the envy that greedy business owners have will kick in and then they will convert over to
sustainable changes in order to make profit. Hopefully one day we the people will be able to see
this sustainable and ethical dream seen in too

Like The Greedy Wolf Analysis
In the years of 1807 to 1831, tragedy struck for The Blackfoot Indians, the British, and American
citizens. In Like the Greedy Wolf, the article focuses more on the history and events people assume
took place at the time, but did these events actually happen? The article does not go into detail on
the impact it made upon the leaders and people involved, nor does it give the most accurate, in
stone details. This article places emphases on a collection of documents rather than an informational
article.
In paragraph one, disaster hit the city of St. Louis on the fifteenth of July in 1823. News eventually
spread by the Missouri Republican. The newspaper stated, The Blackfoot had attacked trappers on
the Yellowstone River near the Crow village. The newspaper goes along to explain the attack on
the leaders, Robert Jones and Michael Immell. It is explained after these two were shot down, the
soldiers fighting under the two leaders, had no guidance. These soldiers were quickly slaughtered
and robbed of their 25 packs of fur. After the paragraph was published, the editor of... Show more

American traders came to be who they were instead of trappers. In paragraph sixteen, the words,

National Intelligencer writes about Manuel Lisa and a few Indian tribes. Terms such as
considered, and probably. A suggestion and an order are two completely different ideas. If a
statement is made in an article, then it is presumed to be accurate and true. Also, the use of the
word, they, should not be included in an article, however this word is found in both paragraph ten
and sixteen. If one is writing an article or paper of any form, he or she should state the person or

Arnold s Dover Beach

Doubt on Dover Beach:
An Exploration of the Loss of Faith in the Victorian Era The Victorian age is marked by the sudden
and startling changes it brought on the western world. As industrialization, intense colonization, and
expanding practices of sciences abounded, the traditional ideas and ideals that had once seemed
constant and true, were suddenly precarious. Matthew Arnold s Dover Beach has become
quintessential to the Victorian literary canon as it is exactly this struggle with a loss of constancy
and the confrontation with the unknown and uncertainty that Arnold evokes within its lines. Dover
Beach explores the potential effects of these sudden shifts in culture; particularly the shift towards
scientific exploration and the threat this shift had on notions of Christianity and faith. The poem
acts as a grand sweeping metaphor for the ideas of constancy and doubt as it lures the reader into a
sense of permanence and complacency before undermining that sense by contradicting itself and
implementing mistrust; ultimately it leaves the reader with a sense that since faith is not eternal,
nothing is. This metaphor is enhanced and nuanced through Arnold s interesting use of structure
and sudden shifts in tone. The first stanza of Dover Beach consists of fourteen lines in iambic meter
(though not iambic pentameter) with varying lengths and features a seemingly random rhyme
structure of:

Linda Loman s Life
Is it possible that human aspirations can kill a person? The author, Arthur Miller, alive during the
end of the Great Depression, uses this setting and the difficulties a family may face to become the
framework for his play, Death of a Salesman . Set during the post war era, he writes about a father
who strives to achieve the American Dream of financial success and his family that does not have
his same aspirations. Miller creates these characters with striking and relatable human qualities. In
the tragic stage play, Death of a Salesman, Arthur Miller creates Willy Loman as the most
compassionate and sacrificing character, Linda Loman as the strong link holding the family
together, and Biff Loman as the individual most in touch with reality.... Show more content on

Arthur Miller uses Biff as the truth teller as he, take that phony dream and burn it before
something happens (Miller 1706). Biff views life s success as happy and being content rather
than focusing on unreachable wealth. Biff realizes that he is never going to be successful and
wishes to be released from his father s far fetched dreams. Realizing that despite everything he
has done, Biff is unable to make his father happy. He has a dream of working on a ranch, which
shows that he is reasonable and due to his past physical abilities would be a very plausible dream.
Biff further recognizes his father s detachment from reality as he states, We never told the truth for
ten minutes in this house (Miller 1708). At this point in the tragedy, he is trying to show his father
and his brother that they have been lying to each other. Biff tries to teach his father that facing
reality doesn t mean failure. Genuine and realistic expectations are sufficient as admirable goals.
The Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller, uses characters such as Willy Loman, Linda Loman, and
Biff Loman to represent sacrifice, honor, and a sense of reality. Throughout the play, these concepts
are developed through these characters and relationships, which have an impact on the outcome of
the story. The interactions of these characters, promotes self awareness and understanding of one s
limitations. The

The Mongol Empire And The Impact Of The Mongol Empire
Revised paper proposal and bibliography
The Mongol empire was one the greatest empires of all time expanding all over Central Asia.
Bordering Chinese states, the Khwarazmian empire, present day Afghanistan, Siberia, Iran, and
many more, at its height the mongol empire was over 20,000,000 square kilometers. This was all
possible due to extraordinary men in Central Asia, ruled by Genghis khan emperor of the Mongol
empire. These Asian nomads along with their fearless and intelligent leader, flourished against
numerous odds impacting all those whom they waged war against. A recipient of this impact in
particular was Russia. It was around 1219 when the Mongols first entered the Kievan Russia
marking the beginning of the interactions of the two. With the Mongols rise in establishing one of
the largest contiguous empire in history and having Russia only distances away the collision of the
two were inevitable. As history shows this collision did happen in the year 1236 which marked the
beginning of great impact that the Mongols would have on the Russian empire culturally,
politically, and economically.
Prior to the rise of the Mongol empire and their invasion of Russia, was a time of violence.
Mongolia separated by tribes and provinces was a non unified empire with little impact to Central
Asia. Being separated, feuds between provinces of power and money were the reason why
Mongolia remained separated. The provinces after a long a grueling process eventually became

Nephrolithiasis And Kidney Stones
KIDNEY STONES
What are Kidney Stones?
Kidney Stones are also called Renal Calculi. Nephrolithiasis is the condition of having Kidney
Stones . These stones come about from chemicals in the urine, forming a tough crystalline mineral
deposit from within the kidney, that stick together inside the kidney or urinary tract. Typically, they
develop in the inner surfaces of one or both of the kidneys. Supersaturation urine is what actually
creates the stones, this happens when there is an imbalance in the waste chemicals in the urine,
which then causes the stones. As to under saturation urine crystals cannot be formed due to lack
of calcium produced. They can be as little as a grain of sand that can be invisible to the naked eye,

Symptoms
Furthermore, kidney stone may not cause any symptoms until it moves within the kidney and or
passes into your ureter, which also can be dreadfully painful when passing through. However, it
does not cause any permanent damages. Some of the symptoms that you might experience are,
severe pain in the side and back, pain below the ribs, pain that spreads to the lower abdomen and
groin. The discomfort can come in multiple waves, fluctuate or be very intense. The pain may last
for a brief or extended time. Some individuals experience nausea and vomiting with the pain.

Discrimination And Harassment Against Women
Throughout the 20th century, women were often seen as eye candies and mannequins at work, and
in many cases, they even encounter sexual molestation. Discrimination and harassment against
women is still prevalent in the workplace. During the 2013 fiscal year, Courts enforced 7,256
charges of sexual harassment, out of which, women comprised 82.6 % of victims, while there were
27,687 cases of genderdiscrimination. Our era has seen new conventions and legal philosophies,
which are steering towards female emancipation. Courts have passed laws such as Title VII, of the
Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits employment discrimination based on race, color, religious
belief, gender, or national origin of the person. These laws empower women and aim to forestall
them from facing any discrimination or hostility at work. Civil rights provide protection to women,
but it fails to provide the sense of equality that women deserve. During the 20th century, our society
has envisioned a vast movement for Equal Right Amendment (ERA). The ERA was a proposed
amendment to the United States Constitution, which guaranteed equality between human races and
women, under law. The bill failed in 1982, when it did not receive enough state votes for the
confirmation. To a historian, North Country can present insight about gender inequality in the late
20th century. It also sheds light on the historical issues which stand to influence our times, by
leading to the conception of new laws and

Guilt
Introduction
Guilt is a raw instinctive emotion of the human nature. Is there a general way through human beings
and all other forms of life would be distinguished from one another. Both humans and other forms
of life on earth have the element of life, the element of survival. Through feeding and excretion
they are both similar. In almost every aspect of life for both human and other forms of life, they are
identical to each other. If for example, both did not feed, their fate would be equally the same.
Through the theory of evolution of man, it is argued that he evolved from the most basic form of
life and over the years evolved in what he is today, a prime being, at the top of the list. But what
differentiates the two apart. Intellectuality and the ability to use reason is the very fundamental
difference between human beings and other forms of life. Having intellect means the ability to use
reason to make decisions and choices. There however, is a difference between choices. Choices
could either be voluntary or involuntary. Actions that are made through involuntary choices could
be termed as the raw instincts elements of man, some of which could probably be compared to
those of animals and other living organisms. On the other hand, there are actions that are based on
voluntary choices, actions that an individual knows their consequence but goes on to do them.
Take for example, a little child not more than 5 years, meaning that his

The Benefits And Uses Of Social Media In Education
Social media is the most ordinally used medium to connect with the world because of its many
advantages and benefits. Lots of students are already involved in social networks. Social media
have changed the ways of learning and providing pieces of information on education. It has been
used in education nowadays more than ever and showing beneficial results out of that. Uses of
social media are increasing continuously in education and both students and educators are
becoming dependent on it. The reason behind is its simple access, uses, and good availability.
Among many of the advantages of social media in education, applying it for communication
purposes, sharing class materials, files etc. for classroom projects as well as uses of QR codes are
some leading ones.
Defining social media is a tricky task to do because of its constant change (Tess, 2013). Social
media involves a vast range of pc and mobile platforms which continue to develop constantly,
launched and re launched, abandoned also ignored daily in countries all over the world that
consist of various forms of communication (Ober Wildman,2013). Although Facebook is dominant
face of social media (Tess, 2013) and twitter is popular microblogging website (Tess, 2013),
however in recent times, various social networking sites, blogs, wikis, multimedia platforms,
virtual game worlds, and virtual social applications are added as social media (Barnes Lescault,
2011; McEwan, 2012).

Descriptive Art Of Art
A wave of nostalgia washed over me when I opened the door to the Durbin Gallery. Waxy, bright,
colorful, and detailed pieces ornamented the white walled room. I smelt the same smell I did
when I was a student digging through my pencil box or when I was creating a colorful
masterpiece during my free time as a child. As I walked around the gallery and saw the pieces
that the artist, Herb Williams, created and displayed in his exhibit, Master Heist. I saw a can of
Campbell s Chicken Noodle Soup, a recreation of Vincent van Goghs The Starry Night, word
bubbles with text, and many more. Williams brought me back to my childhood and amazed me
within a matter of seconds of entering the exhibit by using familiar objects to make familiar
works of art. A thought I continuously had while walking around the exhibit was of how cool it
was to see how one individual used crayons, something I ve always correlated as a tool used to
make art, to create art. The individual pieces when observed from a distance looked to me to be
a vibrant printed picture. However, at a closer glance, it was easy to tell that it was not printed,
and that it was composed of an object that most all viewers can relate to in some way. The artist
took crayons in their most simplistic form, cylinders of wax, to a new level. The thousands of
crayons were arranged by color and placed specifically with either the point or flat ends facing
outwardly to create depth and movement in the pieces. This further pushed my

Reflection About Living With God
The book is about living with God, instead of living over, under, for, or from him. It talks about
how important it is to be aware of how we think about God and our relationship with him. I
appreciate this book a lot because the day I accepted Christ was when I finally understood that
everything he did wasn t to get me a get out of hell free card, it was to be able to spend the rest of
this life drawing me closer to him and to spend eternity with him. In that regard, the first part of
the book was about what I expected, but as I was surprised, encouraged, and challenged as I got
further into the book.
The first point that stood out to me was the way we assign the way we value effectiveness to God;
we assume that he gauges success the same way we do. I love the way the author presented the
story of Moses striking the rock in the light of him doing only what he knew had worked in the
past. He followed a formula; and yes, he was effective, but he was not faithful or obedient. It is
possible to succeed without being in relationship with God. Along the same lines, one of the
most helpful ways I ve heard this concept presented is from Moses initial reaction with God; God
finding Moses and arguing back and forth with him while Moses makes excuse after excuse
about everything he can t do. God is not a God of efficiency. What would have been efficient is
snapping his fingers and freeing all the Israelite slaves from their captors in Egypt. But he chose to
work through Moses;

Identify and discuss the design elements that you incorporated into your bridge.
Design Elements: While building this bridge, the first design element, was the deck design. We
took around one horizontal length of vertical popsicle sticks and lined them side by side, and
repeated. Later we connected them together with a horizontal popsicle stick. I then took two lines
and placed them ontop of eachother to create a flat surface. This way it will carry a lot of weight,
and it will also run smoothly. After this I created trusses to put on the side, so that the weight would
be evenly distributed amongst the bridge, instead of all the weight on one part. This would help stop
the bridge from immediately bending once weights were put into the bucket. To make the trusses I
had to take popsicle sticks and glue them into a triangle shape, and then glue them together from
the bottom. This way they wouldn t break apart. I then doubled them up so that it would be able
to sustain more weight. Under the bridge I placed a lot of beams, so that the bridge would hold
together from the bottom, instead of immediately bending once I placed a weight. I made the beam

discussed the pros and cons of the program, the decision was made that the benefits to the business
and the customers outweighed the cost. Our instructors were included in the decision concerning
the plan of conducting research, at this point a lot of my instructors volunteered to assist. The
initial proposal like mentioned before was oral, in the proposal we explained the primary question
of the research, would a boot camp style program fit our current training schedules and thinking,
the overall answer was yes it did. The cost of the research was going to be minimal, the reason for
this was that we decided to conduct the research ourselves and not hire a firm, some of my
instructors have conducted research activities at work and we decided to use some of their
expertise, this saved the business some initial cost.
Third stage of the process is research design, we decided on using a survey, this survey would
ask a simple question, would you be interested in participating in a boot camp style training
program ; the survey would also have various health benefits that would be achieved by doing the
boot camp. We designed the survey to fit individuals in our area and age groups, our targets were
the mid teens to the middle aged in our

George Orwell’s Down and Out in Paris and London Essay
George Orwell s Down and Out in Paris and London Days without food, nights without shelter
and clothes without buttons are reality for homeless people around the world. Many are
incapable of escaping their poverty and can not seem to find a way out of their bleak
oppression. The few that do escape often help each other find a way to make their lives better
and do not forget how to maintain friendships. George Orwell s novel, Down and Out in Paris and
London, displays the ability of those in poverty to escape their horrific lot in life through
friendships and connections. The common goal of shelter and freedom from oppression bonds
many of the lower class. Many in poverty work together to find the best means to achieve their

Boris, Orwell s Russian acquaintance, is no better off than Orwell, but when Orwell and Boris
bond together, they are able to cope with poverty together. In fact, when Orwell locates Boris, he
is in such a weak and emotionally distressed state that Orwell, hurried downstairs and bought a
loaf of bread (28). Orwell, who already has very little money, shares what he has with Boris in an
attempt to support a fellow member of the lower class. After this incident Boris and Orwell are
allied in the search for jobs. In the quest for jobs, Boris and Orwell trek across Paris together to
apply for employment. Boris often hinders Orwell because of his limp that often prevents them
from finding occupations. However, Orwell does not leave his friend. Boris also uses his
connections to find jobs for both himself and Orwell. Neither Boris nor Orwell gives up, Oh, we
shall find something (29), because they support each other both physically and mentally. Even
when Orwell is in a tight bind for money, he asks Boris, to let me share his two francs (38).
However, because Boris has no money, they both decide to pawn their overcoats. They work out
plans together and help each other figure out the best way to make money. Orwell and Boris feel
comfortable asking each other for support and are able

Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem Analysis
The Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem (GYE) is one of the largest virtually intact temperate zone
ecosystems on Earth with 34,375 square miles of wildlife, vegetation, rivers, lakes, hydrothermal
features, and geological wonders (National Park Service (NPS), n.d.). (See Figure 1).
Yellowstone National Park (YNP) is the heart of the GYE. The park was created in 1872 and
encompasses approximately 3,500 square miles of habitat protection and sanctuary in portions of
Idaho (ID), Montana (MT), and Wyoming (WY) with the largest concentration of wildlife in the
lower 48 states. Among these species of wildlife are bison (Bison bison). YNP is the only location
in the United States(U.S.) where bison have continually roamed since the prehistoric era.... Show

The NPS (n.d.) considers the protection and recovery of the bison in YNP as one of the greatest
triumphs in the history of American conservation. Bison were nearly exterminated in the nineteenth
century, calling for species preservation in the 1880 s (Lavigne, 2002). In 1901, a recorded low of
23 bison roamed YNP, to a high of almost 5,000 bison in 2005 (Treanor, et al., 2010). Today, the
bison populations throughout YNP are the center of conflicts and controversy among the public and
management agencies. They are under strict management guidelines that prevent them from
roaming free outside of the park. The four main reasons they are restricted to YNP: competition
with livestock for grasslands, concerns for human safety, potential property damage, and most
significantly the potential transmission of brucellosis (Brucella abortus) to area livestock. Bison, as
well as, elk (Cervus elaphus) are infected with the livestock disease, brucellosis. Brucellosis is an
extremely contagious bacterial disease that can cause abortions in livestock and wildlife, as well as,
other substantial complications (White, et al., 2011). These complication make brucellosis
management in bison and elk throughout the GYE one of the most complex and contentious
wildlife management issues in North America (Colligan,

The Doctrine Of Freedom Of Contract
The particular focus of this essay is on how terms are implied. This is central because the courts
intervene and impose implied terms when they believe that in addition to the terms the parties
have expressly agreed on, other terms must be implied into the contract. Gillies argued that the
courts have become more interventionist in protecting the rights of contracting parties thereby
encroaching upon the notion of freedom of contract. The doctrine of freedom of contract is a
prevailing philosophy which upholds the idea that parties to a contract should be at liberty to
agree on their own terms without the interference of the courts or legislature. Implied terms can
be viewed as a technique of construction or interpretation of contracts. It has been argued that the
courts are interfering too much in their approach to determine and interpret the terms of a
contract. The aim of this essay is to explore this argument further and in doing so consider
whether freedom of contract is lost due to courts imposing implied terms. The essay will outline
how the common law implies terms. The final part of the essay will examine whether Parliament,
by means of a statute, or terms implied by custom restrict freedom in a contract. An overall
conclusion on the issue will be reached. On the one hand it is evident that terms implied at
common law can be implied in law or implied in fact . Terms implied as a matter of fact are said to
give effect to unexpressed intentions of the

Logotherapy Paper
A man who becomes conscious of the responsibility he bears toward a human being who
affectionately waits for him, or to an unfinished work, will never be able to throw away his life. He
knows the why for his existence, and will be able to bear almost any how .
― Viktor E. Frankl
Introduction
The term logotherapy is derived from a Greek word that translates as meaning and therapy, which is
defined as treatment of a condition, illness, or maladjustment (GoodTherapy, 2015). Logotherapy is
sometimes referred to at the Third Vienessen School of Psychotherapy , with Sigmund Freud s
psychoanalysis being the first, and Alfred Adler s individual psychologybeing the second. In
contrast to Freud and Aldler thought, Viktor Frankl, with the emergence of logotherapy, maintained
that a human s principal motivation is not to search for power or gratification, as but to discover the

Logotherapy is suitable for both religious and non religious individuals because of the spiritual (not
religious) dimension in the concept (Asagba, 2013).
Because the existential approach is based on universal human themes, because it does not dictate a
particular way of viewing reality, and because of its broad perspective, it is highly applicable in
working in a multicultural context. Existential therapy is useful in working with culturally diverse
clients because of its focus on universality, or the common ground that we all share. (Corey, 2012)
For an approach to be labeled as existential, it is essential that the cultural, social, political, and
ideological context be taken into account. Themes such as relationships, finding meaning, anxiety,
suffering, and death are concerns that transcend the boundaries that separate cultures. Clients in
existential therapy are encouraged to examine ways their present existence is being influenced by
social and cultural factors (Corey,

Essay On Discrimination In America
Social Issues: Discrimination in the US Discrimination is deeply embedded in America s history
even older than the country itself. America was at its peak in the 1920 s and with the fame of its
opportunity, safety and freedom came newcomers from other countries came looking for just this,
but instead of basking in the alleged pleasantness of the American Dream , the immigrants were
scrutinized, disrespected, and were limited from many rights, they were discriminated against
How was Discrimination Doled Out? Immigrants would often work the hardest, low paycheck jobs

Ethnic minorities are sometimes today, and back then, consistently the victims of anti immigrant
bias which, of course, always favored American born citizens. The USA born natives often resented
the immigrants for their hard work, determination and success. They would also experience anger
whenever the newcomers went against the grain. All this resent and anger resulted in many
negative stereotypes that fueled antagonism towards many ethnicities. Latin Americans are
becoming increasing targets to biased crimes. These stereotypes have a long history that started in
California and southwest America where in periods of anti immigrant movements, both new
settlers and veteran US citizens of Hispanic descent were unfairly blamed for social and economic
problems, and were also victims of harassment and, at the worst, deportation. Long standing bias
against Pacific Americans is also existent. In fact, in 1882 the Chinese exclusion act which barred
Chinese laborers from entering the US was legalized.
The paranoia of co workers plus the feeling of non assimilation of the immigrants into society didn
t get the act was not repealed until 1943.

Hamlet Movie Vs Play
The play Hamlet by William Shakespeare is about a king that was murdered by his brother and
the main character Hamlet, who is the prince and also the king s son was told by the ghost of his
father to avenge his murder. In the play Hamlet, there are many differences compared to the movie
Hamlet 2000 directed by Michael Almereyda. The reason to these differences is to show a modern
setting in the movie Hamlet2000 , to show the audience a better understanding of the characters, and
the difference in the way the movie ends compared to the original play by Shakespeare.
The first difference is the setting compared to the play and the movie. In the original play the
setting takes place in Elsinore, Denmark in the royal palace in the late Middle Ages around the
14th and 15th century. The play starts off with the guards in the castle and Horatio who is one of
the guards is the first to see the ghost. But as shown in the movie the setting starts off in New York
City in the 2000 s. The director did this to make it different to the book and to other Hamlet movies.
It made it more modern and interesting the director might have done this to make the audience
understand the movie a little better. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

movie the to be or not to be scene is taken in a BlockBuster store. In the movie, Hamlet is walking

How Did Greek Architecture Influence Roman Architecture
Roman Architecture
The Greek and Roman empires existed during the same time, which was about 2500 years ago.
They were practically neighbors with Rome developing in Italy and the Greeks in Greece. The the
Romans learned about Greek culture when Greek colonies established towns in southern Italy. The
Romans were influenced by Greek writing, art, religion, and architecture. Greek architecture had an
influence on the development of Ancient Rome because the Romans used Greek materials, Greek
designs and the Romans built similar structures. First,Greek architecture did influence on the
development of Ancient Rome because they used Greek materials such as concrete, lime mortar,
and stone. Like the Greeks, the Romans built enormous structures and concrete was able to support
greater weights. The lime mortar was used to make the concrete and this made the concrete
stronger.( Roman Architecture. ) Stone was a natural resource to use in their building because it

The Power Of A Child s Imagination

Film Studies 101
November 19, 15
The Power of a Child s Imagination Guillermo del Toro, a respected director has been credited
for many of his films. Among his popular Pan s Labyrinth, del Toro exposes his true power as a
filmmaker in his movie as the innocent is lured by the power of imagination. Ofelia s traumatic
young experiences are influencing her imaginary gateways to new worlds. In this movie, Guillermo
del Toro uses different elements of film style to get an insight of Ofelia s vivid and detailed
imagination of how her imaginary world is much preferred over her realistic world. At the
begging of the movie, we can see del Toro s use of mise en scene appear to set the mood of the

Del Toro s use of lighting and color allowed us to explore and comprehend Ofelia s thoughts and
shows clues for the movie s implicit meaning. Lighting used in Ofelia gives us a better
understanding between her reality and fantasy. A strong example would be towards the end of
the movie when her father shoots Ofelia. The colors turned dark and as the whole place went
shadowy showing the misery of Ofelia s realistic world as she dies slowly. Suddenly, bright
yellow lights pervaded the scene as Ofelia turn into Princess Moana. Del Toro s slight change of
color had created two completely different worlds, one where imagination provides immortality,
and a realistic one where death is not an option. Ofelia s room is dark and there is barely any
light, which portrays her reality. Nevertheless, in the mystical underground of the pale man s
home the light is relatively brighter, which just goes to show that Ofelia s realistic life is
depressing. Her imagination, however, is not astonishing but is preferred over her reality. She
enters the paranormal underground wearing a full green dress and Ofelia s face is saturated.
Green is the color of nature; it symbolizes freshness, fertility, and holds with it a strong emotional
correspondence with safety. The color of her dress has successfully shown her dream of escaping
the real world and entering the unknown world. This indirectly indicates Ofelia s passionate
personality when she is aware that her

The Effect of Neoliberal Ideals on the Portrayal of Class in Reality TV Over the past two
decades, reality TV has become an increasingly popular genre of media and a staple in
entertainment culture. As reality TV has continued to grow, scholars have become interested in
examining the societal effects of the messages that it promotes. Thus, scholarly research in the
genre of reality TV examines how the use of neoliberal ideals affects the portrayal of
socioeconomic class. This field of study was first founded in the research of neoliberalism s

Unlike George Mantsios, Rennels and Edwards focused their work specifically on reality TV. Each
author completed case studies of individual reality TV shows; yet they came to the same conclusion
that reality TV presents the poor as individuals, or singular families, that can overcome poverty by
working hard and adopting traditional puritan esque values. Here Comes Honey Boo focuses on a
southern working class white family and intentionally emphasizes their lazy lifestyle as well as
unconventional behaviors, which implies that their unorthodox lifestyle has lead to their state of
poverty (Rennels). Outside of the United States, scholars such as Annabel Tremlett have studied the
ways in which class has played into the representation of marginalized minorities, specifically the
Gypsy community, in reality TV. Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, glosses over social conditions and
ignores potential for social and cultural change (Tremlett 324). The immense poverty found within
the Gypsy community is attributed to negative aspects of their culture rather than systemic
oppression. Narratives in which the men are drinking and fighting while the women are oppressed
housewives are common plotlines that contribute to enforcing Gypsies otherness as a reason for
their poverty (Tremlett 327). On the other hand, shows such as Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

floor. I took a left and went straight until I saw the door that opened to their apartment. I knocked

Spike Jonze s recent movie her takes place in a future LA, but not one that you would expect,
having most popular visions of the future being dark and dystopian. The streets are clean and the
people are happy. Everything is basked in a pastel like glow, feeling nostalgically retro.
Technology is used to their advantage for convenience, but has not overtaken their lives and
created a society of anti social recluses. Jonze s vision of the future is decidedly positive and a
refreshing take on what humanity can do if they make the right choices. Enter Theodore, the
protagonist who has separated from his wife in the past year. He is a depressed, hopeful romantic

Descartes Mind And The Body
Descartes argues for mind body dualism in his Meditations on First Philosophy and Discourse on
Method. Descartes s arguments attempt to prove that the mind and the body are two distinct
substances. He argues that human existence is solely based on thought and not the existence of a
physical body. He also shows the difference between the mindand body by identifying them as
extended and non extended things. His arguments give rise to the philosophical problems of how
we can come to know other people s minds and how we can be sure if animals have minds.
Descartes solves these problems by establishing clear and distinct ideas from mental inspection

requires thought, I was a substance the whole essence or nature of which is simply to think, and
which, in order to exist, has no need of any place nor depends on any material thing. (Method 18

asking him any question, which would have a big effect on his daughters. In comparison, my
mother has a very unique style of parenting my brother and me. My mother s parenting style is

Points are used by the DMV to evaluate driving records. Everyone starts off with a clean driving
record; if you get a traffic ticket you points can go up. Tickets for speeding, parking tickets, not
using turn signals, parking in handicapped spots, reckless driving, DUI, DWI, driving on a
suspended license, driving without a license or drag racing can all make your points go up. You
can receive one point for less severe traffic violations including speeding, running a red light, not
using turn signals or getting into an accident that was your fault. You can receive two points for
reckless driving, causing injury due to reckless driving, DUI, hit and run, driving in the wrong
direction, driving with a suspended or revoked license or... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Upon completion of traffic school your points will be dismissed and your ticket is considered
resolved. Often times traffic school can even be done online. There is a fee for the driving
school and it is typically the same amount as the fine. Unfortunately you cannot be considered
for traffic school if your violation is a misdemeanor, if it is because of traffic tickets, if it
involved any alcohol or drugs, if you must appear in court, if you were driving a commercial
vehicle, and if you have a commercial driver s license. Types of infractions include parking
where you aren t supposed including red zones and handicapped space, running a red light,
turning illegally, not stopping at a stop sign, changing lanes with no signal, using the carpool
lane with no passengers, no headlights when driving at night, and hitting another vehicle. You
can attend traffic school if you hold a valid driver s license and if you are eligible by the courts
to attend driving school you will receive a notice in the mail with the details. If you ve been have
a traffic ticket that is causing your points to go up, causing your insurance company to potentially
drop you or causing your license to go suspended you should hire a traffic ticket attorney as soon as
possible. As an experienced and knowledgeable traffic ticket attorney, we will help you understand

Machiavelli Vs Xenophon Research Paper
Machiavelli vs. Xenophon Dictatorships are one of the most common forms of government, in
dictatorships tyrants can come to power. The meaning of tyrant differs between time periods, in
the Greek age tyrant meant a ruler that came to power in an unusual way, in more modern
english it means a cruel and oppressive ruler. Machiavelli and Xenophon both write books on how
a tyrant or dictator may become a good ruler. Machiavelli describes his views in a more essay form
called, The Prince, while Xenophon describes his views in a dialogue form in, Hiero the Tyrant.
These two lived during completely different times yet were very coherent on their ideas. The
challenges that both authors faced had some similarities, their solutions were often the same as well,

Xenophon and Machiavelli have completely different thoughts on the topic of war. A prince
ought to have no other aim or thought, nor select anything else for his study, than war and its
rules and discipline (Prince, 14). Machiavelli just states that war should be the only thing on a
prince s mind, that war is the only thing a prince should study. War in Machiavelli s eyes is a
concern that should always be on the mind and never looked over. Xenophon states that is war
is always on the mind, wherever tyrants go, however, they always treat it as enemy territory
(Hiero, pg. 13). He also says that tyrants are always on the watch and always feel that they are in
enemy territory even more so inside their own walls, a tyrant, however, is not out of danger even
when he enters his residence (Hiero, pg, 13). Machiavelli thinks of war as a more strategic and
sneaky art whilst Xenophon doesn t explain tactics. Xenophon covers mostly the facts that citizens
should be armed for defense and that the ruler is always at war. Machiavelli also says that citizens
should be armed but in a different

  • 2. What Was The Underlying Cause Of World War I Dbq It all began with an assassination,by a Serbian nationalist on June 28, 1914 in the Balkans. The Archduke of Austria Hungary was shot and killed in his own vehicle, which sparked war between Russia and Germany and the alliances that went along with it. The Allies consisted of France, Great Britain, Russia, The United States and Italy, while The Central Powers consisted of Austria Hungary, Germany the Ottoman Empire and Bulgaria. The underlying cause of World War I consisted of three reasons, Militarism and Alliances as well as Imperialism being the most important. One underlying cause of World War I was Militarism. In 1890 Germany and Austria Hungary spent together about 40 million pounds, and in 1914 increased their spending to 150 million pounds (Doc C). As well as that Great Britain, Russia and France spent 100 million pounds and increased spending to 225 million pounds (Doc C). This shows that a buildup of arms was an important underlying reason for the war. In a speech before the German Congress Bernhard von Bulow spoke about how worried he is about England, France and Russia based on their acquiring of colonies around the world and how he does not want to Step on the toes of any foreign power (Doc... The hand in the corner of the cartoon is there to point at how the peace of Europe was destroyed by alliance systems (Doc B). This cartoon reveals that alliances just made the war bigger and more complicated. • 3. The Issues of Ethics Issues of Ethics The two major ethical theories that have the most relevance and prudence to my contemporary views are utilitarianism and those aligned with the concept of a categorical imperative. The philosophy of the former of these was widely pioneered by both Jeremy Bentham and John Stuart Mill. The notion of a categorical imperative was largely popularized by Immanuel Kant. In all actuality, the efficaciousness of these philosophies is widely determined by the particular moral dilemma which one is facing. Still, the true value in both of these theories lies in the fact that they can be applied to a wide variety of situations and help to dictate moral guidance. In many respects, utilitarianism, which is a branch of philosophy known as consequentialism, presents a diametrically opposed philosophical stance of that propounded by Kant and his categorical imperative (Boylan, 2009, p. 176). There is an extreme sense of mutability that accompanies the former of these approaches to ethics, which is attributed to the fact that the behavior that is determined most ethical depends on the circumstances that result from that behavior. Specifically, the action that produces the most good, to the most amount of people, is adjudged by utilitarianism to be the proper ethical decision to make. It is interesting to note that in this philosophy there are varying degrees of good produced. Quite often, ephemeral good or that which affects a finite amount of people is considered lesser ... It wasn t even 100 years ago that the world was still overwhelmingly rural with global urban population rates around 10%. Fast forward to 2015, now accounting for roughly around 53% of the worlds population living in cities and is projected to rise to around 67% by 2050.1 The comparative analysis sets out to understand the opportunities and challenges among the North American megacity New York and the Asian megacity of Beijing. The metropolitan area of both New York and Beijing consist of a population each over 10 million people, which generally defines as a megacity. A megacity can also be coined as world city, global city, megalopolis, metropolis, conurbation, and agglomeration. Megacities such as New York and Beijing are comprised of a central core, surrounded by satellite cities within daily commuting distances, separated by greenspace. Thus, urban agglomerations can be numerous cities and towns when they are linked by the flows of people, goods, and information, as long as the aggregate population exceeds 10 million.2 Sustainable development of megacities offers a new concept for the world economy in the twenty first century. The focus of the paper is to understand the challenges and opportunities of sustainable development within megacities through urban structure/growth, economic structure, affordable housing, air pollution, and ... Whereas, theories are an explanation of observed data which is conveyed as reliable. As it is difficult to give one singular, finite and definitive definition to both terms, the definitions offered above are the perspective through which the two will be looked at in this essay. This betters our understanding of politics through allowing us to simplify the political world. However, this is not the case as when looking further it becomes clear that are a result of simplifying there are certain implications. This is evident in Weber s conceptof the ideal type which states that concepts are created by putting forward the central feature of the phenomenon. This in turn marginalises other features that play a part. It becomes problematic as politics is complicated and intricate in its nature and requires every aspect to be explored. • 10. Review Of Dover Beach Sage Walund Gorra Arnold s Dover Beach English 201 3/9/15 Doubt on Dover Beach: An Exploration of the Loss of Faith in the Victorian Era The Victorian age is marked by the sudden and startling changes it brought on the western world. As industrialization, intense colonization, and expanding practices of sciences abounded, the traditional ideas and ideals that had once seemed constant and true, were suddenly precarious. Matthew Arnold s Dover Beach has become quintessential to the Victorian literary canon as it is exactly this struggle with a loss of constancy and the confrontation with the unknown and uncertainty that Arnold evokes within its lines. Dover Beach explores the potential effects of these sudden shifts in culture; particularly the shift towards scientific exploration and the threat this shift had on notions of Christianity and faith. The poem acts as a grand sweeping metaphor for the ideas of constancy and doubt as it lures the reader into a sense of permanence and complacency before undermining that sense by contradicting itself and implementing mistrust; ultimately it leaves the reader with a sense that since faith is not eternal, nothing is. This metaphor is enhanced and nuanced through Arnold s interesting use of structure and sudden shifts in tone. The first stanza of Dover Beach consists of fourteen lines in iambic meter (though not iambic pentameter) with varying lengths and features a seemingly random rhyme structure of: ... Realizing that despite everything he has done, Biff is unable to make his father happy. He has a dream of working on a ranch, which shows that he is reasonable and due to his past physical abilities would be a very plausible dream. Biff further recognizes his father s detachment from reality as he states, We never told the truth for ten minutes in this house (Miller 1708). At this point in the tragedy, he is trying to show his father and his brother that they have been lying to each other. Biff tries to teach his father that facing reality doesn t mean failure. Bordering Chinese states, the Khwarazmian empire, present day Afghanistan, Siberia, Iran, and many more, at its height the mongol empire was over 20,000,000 square kilometers. This was all possible due to extraordinary men in Central Asia, ruled by Genghis khan emperor of the Mongol empire. These Asian nomads along with their fearless and intelligent leader, flourished against numerous odds impacting all those whom they waged war against. Discrimination And Harassment Against Women Throughout the 20th century, women were often seen as eye candies and mannequins at work, and in many cases, they even encounter sexual molestation. Discrimination and harassment against women is still prevalent in the workplace. During the 2013 fiscal year, Courts enforced 7,256 charges of sexual harassment, out of which, women comprised 82.6 % of victims, while there were 27,687 cases of genderdiscrimination. Our era has seen new conventions and legal philosophies, which are steering towards female emancipation. Courts have passed laws such as Title VII, of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits employment discrimination based on race, color, religious belief, gender, or national origin of the person. These laws empower women and aim to forestall them from facing any discrimination or hostility at work. Civil rights provide protection to women, but it fails to provide the sense of equality that women deserve. During the 20th century, our society has envisioned a vast movement for Equal Right Amendment (ERA). The ERA was a proposed amendment to the United States Constitution, which guaranteed equality between human races and women, under law. The bill failed in 1982, when it did not receive enough state votes for the confirmation. To a historian, North Country can present insight about gender inequality in the late 20th century. Is there a general way through human beings and all other forms of life would be distinguished from one another. Both humans and other forms of life on earth have the element of life, the element of survival. Through feeding and excretion they are both similar. In almost every aspect of life for both human and other forms of life, they are identical to each other. If for example, both did not feed, their fate would be equally the same. Through the theory of evolution of man, it is argued that he evolved from the most basic form of life and over the years evolved in what he is today, a prime being, at the top of the list. But what differentiates the two apart. Intellectuality and the ability to use reason is the very fundamental difference between human beings and other forms of life. Having intellect means the ability to use reason to make decisions and choices. There however, is a difference between choices. Choices could either be voluntary or involuntary. Actions that are made through involuntary choices could be termed as the raw instincts elements of man, some of which could probably be compared to those of animals and other living organisms. On the other hand, there are actions that are based on voluntary choices, actions that an individual knows their consequence but goes on to do them. As I walked around the gallery and saw the pieces that the artist, Herb Williams, created and displayed in his exhibit, Master Heist. I saw a can of Campbell s Chicken Noodle Soup, a recreation of Vincent van Goghs The Starry Night, word bubbles with text, and many more. Williams brought me back to my childhood and amazed me within a matter of seconds of entering the exhibit by using familiar objects to make familiar works of art. I appreciate this book a lot because the day I accepted Christ was when I finally understood that everything he did wasn t to get me a get out of hell free card, it was to be able to spend the rest of this life drawing me closer to him and to spend eternity with him. In that regard, the first part of the book was about what I expected, but as I was surprised, encouraged, and challenged as I got further into the book. The first point that stood out to me was the way we assign the way we value effectiveness to God; we assume that he gauges success the same way we do. I love the way the author presented the story of Moses striking the rock in the light of him doing only what he knew had worked in the past. He followed a formula; and yes, he was effective, but he was not faithful or obedient. It is possible to succeed without being in relationship with God. Along the same lines, one of the most helpful ways I ve heard this concept presented is from Moses initial reaction with God; God finding Moses and arguing back and forth with him while Moses makes excuse after excuse about everything he can t do. God is not a God of efficiency. What would have been efficient is snapping his fingers and freeing all the Israelite slaves from their captors in Egypt. But he chose to work through Moses; ... Today, the bison populations throughout YNP are the center of conflicts and controversy among the public and management agencies. They are under strict management guidelines that prevent them from roaming free outside of the park. The four main reasons they are restricted to YNP: competition with livestock for grasslands, concerns for human safety, potential property damage, and most significantly the potential transmission of brucellosis (Brucella abortus) to area livestock. Bison, as well as, elk (Cervus elaphus) are infected with the livestock disease, brucellosis. Brucellosis is an extremely contagious bacterial disease that can cause abortions in livestock and wildlife, as well as, other substantial complications (White, et al., 2011). These complication make brucellosis management in bison and elk throughout the GYE one of the most complex and contentious wildlife management issues in North America (Colligan, ... • 25. The Doctrine Of Freedom Of Contract The particular focus of this essay is on how terms are implied. This is central because the courts intervene and impose implied terms when they believe that in addition to the terms the parties have expressly agreed on, other terms must be implied into the contract. Gillies argued that the courts have become more interventionist in protecting the rights of contracting parties thereby encroaching upon the notion of freedom of contract. The doctrine of freedom of contract is a prevailing philosophy which upholds the idea that parties to a contract should be at liberty to agree on their own terms without the interference of the courts or legislature. Implied terms can be viewed as a technique of construction or interpretation of contracts. It has been argued that the courts are interfering too much in their approach to determine and interpret the terms of a contract. The aim of this essay is to explore this argument further and in doing so consider whether freedom of contract is lost due to courts imposing implied terms. The essay will outline how the common law implies terms. The final part of the essay will examine whether Parliament, by means of a statute, or terms implied by custom restrict freedom in a contract. An overall conclusion on the issue will be reached. On the one hand it is evident that terms implied at common law can be implied in law or implied in fact . Terms implied as a matter of fact are said to give effect to unexpressed intentions of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Logotherapy is sometimes referred to at the Third Vienessen School of Psychotherapy , with Sigmund Freud s psychoanalysis being the first, and Alfred Adler s individual psychologybeing the second. Existential therapy is useful in working with culturally diverse clients because of its focus on universality, or the common ground that we all share. (Corey, 2012) For an approach to be labeled as existential, it is essential that the cultural, social, political, and ideological context be taken into account. These stereotypes have a long history that started in California and southwest America where in periods of anti immigrant movements, both new settlers and veteran US citizens of Hispanic descent were unfairly blamed for social and economic problems, and were also victims of harassment and, at the worst, deportation. Hamlet Movie Vs Play The play Hamlet by William Shakespeare is about a king that was murdered by his brother and the main character Hamlet, who is the prince and also the king s son was told by the ghost of his father to avenge his murder. In the play Hamlet, there are many differences compared to the movie Hamlet 2000 directed by Michael Almereyda. The reason to these differences is to show a modern setting in the movie Hamlet2000 , to show the audience a better understanding of the characters, and the difference in the way the movie ends compared to the original play by Shakespeare. The first difference is the setting compared to the play and the movie. In the original play the setting takes place in Elsinore, Denmark in the royal palace in the late Middle Ages around the 14th and 15th century. The play starts off with the guards in the castle and Horatio who is one of the guards is the first to see the ghost. But as shown in the movie the setting starts off in New York City in the 2000 s. The colors turned dark and as the whole place went shadowy showing the misery of Ofelia s realistic world as she dies slowly. Suddenly, bright yellow lights pervaded the scene as Ofelia turn into Princess Moana. Del Toro s slight change of color had created two completely different worlds, one where imagination provides immortality, and a realistic one where death is not an option. Ofelia s room is dark and there is barely any light, which portrays her reality. Nevertheless, in the mystical underground of the pale man s home the light is relatively brighter, which just goes to show that Ofelia s realistic life is depressing. Her imagination, however, is not astonishing but is preferred over her reality. She enters the paranormal underground wearing a full green dress and Ofelia s face is saturated. Green is the color of nature; it symbolizes freshness, fertility, and holds with it a strong emotional correspondence with safety. Here Comes Honey Boo focuses on a southern working class white family and intentionally emphasizes their lazy lifestyle as well as unconventional behaviors, which implies that their unorthodox lifestyle has lead to their state of poverty (Rennels).
