All Children should read aloud each evening for at least 10
minutes. This can be to an adult or alternatively your child
can read aloud to themselves then tell you about what
they’ve read or answer some questions about the text.
PLEASE sign your child’s reading diary every
time they read at home.
Learning Logs I have sent home the next 4 learning log entries.
The expectation is your child does an entry each week and brings their completed work into school
each Tuesday (It does not matter which order you choose to do the entries in)
Handwriting Please encourage your child to pay close attention to how each letter is formed and how it is
positioned on the line. If your child is unable to form individual letters correctly they are not expected
to join letters
Spelling Tests take place on Tuesday’s
Metal Maths All children need to quicken their recall of number bonds and multiplication facts. Every Friday the
children do a BEAT-IT test. To support your child please practice metal recall.at every opportunity
