How to do quick user assign in kanban in Odoo 17 ERP
Year 4 Parents meeting
1. Speaking English
A lot of the work we are doing in English
involves encouraging the children to talk
as much as possible in ENGLISH. If they are
confident in speaking in English the writing
will come more easily.
So we will be doing lots of paired work ,
group work and drama before writing.
Any help you can give at home will be
much appreciated.
2. Reading
We will continue reading group activities from
the start of the long days.
Children should be reading every day and
that should be in a variety of forms (books,
computer, newspaper, comics, etc).
We will expect any reading the children do to
be recorded at the back of their diaries in the
reading record
ORT books should be changed once or twice
a week.
They need to still read out loud so they can
pick up the punctuation. Also children should
try to remember not to rush but to speak
clearly.
3. www.readingeggs.com
We want to encourage the children to
read as much as possible. Reading eggs
will hep make this fun.
Your children will have received their login
and password which means they will have
access to many of books online.
Children will be set books to read and
expect to try and answer the questions.
We will be able to track the children and
see how well they are doing.
Any problems with reading eggs then let
your class teacher know.

Some children will be further behind or ahead of these levels already. In
this case we expect that they make at least 2 levels progress throughout
the year.
Level descriptions can be found on the internet by searching for
“National Curriculum levels literacy numeracy”
5. Spelling
On Friday new spellings will be given out.
They have to practise writing them on the
sheet.
Children will either have a spelling sheet
to complete which helps them practice
the weekly spelling patterned. More able
children will be expected to find 5 new
words (based on the spelling pattern)
which they will then have to use in a
sentence.
Spelling sheets and sentences have to be
handed in (returned) on Wednesday.
6. Maths
We are also using Myimaths website for maths
homework and revision.
www.myimaths.com
The children will be set homework online using
MyImaths. The great thing about the website
is that it allows children to revise the work
done in class and practice and correct their
homework.
This resource will also be used in class.
We will be able to track the children’s
progress.
7. Homework
Maths will be set on Friday (Via MyImaths)
to be completed by Wednesday.
Spelling sheets / and if sentences are
required set on Friday handed in by
Wednesday.
Handwriting should be joined up as this
does help them with their spelling.
They will get tables sheets to learn which
they need to practice every day for a
short time.
Tables and spelling test on Thursday.
New tables and spellings set on Friday
8. Homework Project – Take a seat
This is a design project that will have a lot
of the literacy elements we are working
on this term.
The children will be expected to design,
write about and make a chair for a
fictional character of their choice.
They will be given a booklet setting out
what they are expected to complete
each week and will be asked to hand it
each Thursday so we can see the
progress they are making.
By Wednesday 5th
December they will be
expected to have completed a model of
their designs, ready to do a creative
evaluation and advertisement.
9. General
Uniform. Check that it is named and make sure
they are wearing the correct uniform. Two
particular issues at the moment are children
wearing sport shoes on non PE days and
wristbands. This is not part of the uniform policy.
PE for 4.1 is on Monday
PE for 4.2 is on Friday
Water bottles: Please bring a water bottle in
school every day and they must be named.
Children can bring a pencil case in but just 1.
A USB stick is necessary for saving ICT work. We
use laptops in the class for ICT. They can always
take work home and add to it. This will be a nice
record of what they are doing in class to share
with you.
10. General continued
Snacks should be healthy. No nuts
please as we do have children with
nut allergies in school. No pipas as they
create a mess.
Rules & Routines have been discussed.
The children have invented thei rown
rules for a happy classroom they have
all signed it. A copy is in their diaries.
Mini newsletter will be issued each that
the children will stick in their diaries so
they and you can see what they will
be working on the following week.
