Domenique Mendez, a junior at FHS, is working on vocabulary notes for Mrs. Saldivar’s PAP Spanish 3 class.
Domenique has taken Spanish classes since her freshmen year because she comes from a hispanic background.
“I enjoy spanish class because I’am fluent in the language and I get to help other students with topics they don’t
understand’’ Domenique says.

Emma West, a sophomore at FHS, is working on translating a spanish story into english in Mr. Rojas’s Spanish 2
class. Emma enjoys learning about the spanish language and hopes to become fluent in other languages. “This
class helps me learn a different language and hopefully understand the spanish culture” Emma said. She hopes to
be able to communicate with other fluent students in spanish.

Currently enrolled in Mrs. Blair’s AP Studio 2D Design class, Michelle Tong is working on a piece of
artwork for a competition called VASE. Michelle has loved to draw ever since and has taken art classes
to get better. “I get the freedom to do what I want and express myself through art”, Michelle said.

Emmie Burns, a senior enrolled in Ms. Blair’s Ap Studio 2D Design, is working on an art piece. In the class, they
do a variety of art pieces based on what they like or the subject. “ We get a lot of freedom on whatever we want
to do in the art piece and its something I do on my free time”, Emmie said.

A freshman at FHS, is working on a class project for Biology, taught by Mrs.
Littlejohn. The project was over listing and drawing the stages of cell division on a
poster.

The students in AP Spanish IV, taught by Mrs. Radziminski, are doing a gallery walk for a project they had worked
on. The students enjoyed looking at each others project because they were really creative. “I had fun going through
my classmates projects because they were really interesting and fun” said Jannete Suarez, a student in the class.

Ananda Reynolds, a freshman at FHS, is working on solving algebraic problems for Mr. Abbott’s Algebra I class.
Ananda doesn't enjoy doing much of the algebra work because of the difficulty, but she manages to learn and does
well in the class. “ I like the teaching style of the teacher because it helps me understand the work a lot better”,
Ananda said.

Lindsey Solorzano, a student in Mr. Abbott’s Algebra I class, is practicing to solve algebraic problems.
In algebra you learn to solve and apply problems to real life situations. “Although I don't enjoy solving
problems, the teacher makes the lessons fun and not so difficult as they seem”, Lindsey said.

The students in Mr. Steelewood’s class are currently working on classwork for other classes
since the class period allows them to catch up on other classwork. The students have taken
advantage of the class by getting the opportunity to get ahead in class and pass.

The students in Mr. Greenwood’s class are taking a test for chemistry over what they have learned
throughout the unit. The class has learned about elements, moles, and properties of energy so far
in the year. They have learned how to apply what they learned into fun class experiments they do.

A junior at FHS, is in physics class, taught by Mrs. Rose, solving chemistry problems with equations they
use. He has enjoyed learning about the sciences in chemistry and finds it difficult at times. “I find it difficult
at times to understand what we are learning, but I enjoy participating in experiments which are fun.

The students in Digital Graphic Animations, taught by Mr. Gaona, are working on an
animation project which involves creating an animated character. Throughout the
year, the students have learned about the software programs in the computer as well
as how to use them to enhance their projects.

The students in Mrs. Saldivar’s PAP Spanish 3 class are working on vocabulary notes. Throughout the year, the
class learns about the spanish culture as well as the proper grammar in the language through fun projects. “I love
to teach this class to my students because it gives the students the opportunity to learn and incorporate the
spanish language in situations” , Mrs. Saldviar said.

The students in Digital Graphics Animation taught by Mr. Gaona are working on an animation project in which it
involves creating an animated character from a movie. Erik Diosdado, a freshman in this class, took this class to
learn more about computers and animation. “I enjoy getting to use technology and learning to create things using a
variety of software programs”, said Erik.

Dominique Malpica, a sophomore at FHS, is currently working on a project in Mr.
Steelewood’s class. She has enjoyed the class work and gets good grades in the
class.
