1. Midterm Reflection
This quarter in Spanish I learned about how to get around my neighborhood and
about the beach and camping. My favorite chapter was the chapter about camping
and the beach. I like that the vocabulary I learned is useful outside of school and
that it helps me communicate with Spanish people outside of school. This quarter I
was faced with a difficult task, I found myself in a Spanish speaking place and
myself being the only Spanish speaking person had to communicate with the
people around and we had to find our way back to our car. Mrs. Carter is a
wonderful teacher and she really helps me learn a lot and I feel like I’m gaining a
better understanding of the language and I know respect it more because it is a
tough language to learn and those that speak it are very smart and intelligent
people. I hope to be able to use Spanish throughout my life to communicate and to
help make myself a well rounded person both with my grammatical and verbal
skills in the language. The language is difficult and at times very challenging to
remember and learn but it worth the effort because I gain a better understanding of
a culture and a different world of people and possibilities.
