• Failures Rate in Math dropped from 37% (2012-13) to 14% (2013-14)

grade teachers—changed thinking Math Dept.
• Drop in Behavior Referrals-(2012-13)-434 behavior referrals (2013-14)
329 behavior referrals—among 9th graders

9. Challenges
• Limited Meeting time
• Teachers are involved in other activities both
professionally and personally
• The concepts of focus teams and 9th grade
transition are new to most of the teachers
• Professional Learning in Analyzing Data
