17. “As a future professor, I see now how essential it is to have deep
student involvement. I’ve worked here for a year as a tutor and as
a mentor. In that year, I’ve truly grown as a student and as a
leader. I can tell that Pierce really cares about its students because
students are involved in decision making at every level.”

18. “Working with faculty – getting to see it from the professor’s
perspective – has been really transformative. I see now where
students struggle, and I see now why they [instructors] have the
expectations that they have of us [students]. I see why they push
us the way they do. I now have higher standards for myself as a
student AND higher standards for my tutees, too.”
-Future Physician
