This document discusses response to intervention and providing reading intervention for students. It questions whether classroom teachers are providing adequate instruction across all tiers of intervention. It also discusses how classroom teachers can provide remediation for reading in other subjects like social studies and science, and the need for progress monitoring and adjusting instruction to meet student needs. The focus is on providing intervention and remediation for reading within other content areas to truly respond to intervention.
