Bauer is a well-known and popular publisher with
millions of people reading their products in the
UK,meaning it is certain my magazine will be
advertised and will reach a large amount of people.
Their reputation also means there will be more
advertising opportunities which will allow my
magazine to attract the niche genre.
They also publish successful music magazines such as
‘kerrang’.I used a ‘kerrang’ magazine as one of my
style models so it suggest the style of my magazine
will be something that theyre familiar with and can
promote.
ONLINE
Niche teenage audiences will be highly
probable to access the internet and so would be
more exposed to the advertising aswellas
‘share’ ‘links’ and general word of mouth will
get the campaigns and websites and adverts
around much faster on social networking.Many
magazine companies are starting to reach to
the internet and I will be in keeping with
competition
AT VENUES
The niche types of music frequent certain
venues and clubs so having my magazine for
sale in the areas where the types of music it is
focused on will attract the audience its
designed for aswell as having it accessible
easily to them.Plus venues will likely have
websites and so can promote my magazine
through advertising.
NEWSAGENTS AND
SUPERMARKETS
These are still large places where customers purchase
magazines, therefore I am in keeping with tradition as well as
getting more likely sales and a wider audience seeing my
magazine.
20 million magazines are bought a year on impulse so there is
a high chance my niche magazine will also be purchased.
