MAGAZINE BRIEF
GENRE
• The I have selected is Film and TV, similar to that of Empire. The Primary audience
would be film and TV enthusiasts, this is evident in all of the news and interviews with
cast and directors of current and classic films. The ages of the Primary audience would
be 18-40, largely male, in relationships (but not necessarily married), university
educated, time-poor and relaxation diminished.
• The Secondary audience is students, women and children, this is evident in that people
can use ‘Empire’ for media lessons, the pictures of children's favorite characters can
appeal to a younger demographic.
• As previously referenced in the Primary audience section, I stated that Empire is 18-40
but any age group can enjoy Empire.
TOPICS
• The topics of my articles would be centered around films and TV, they would discus
the process of writing and shooting films as well as containing interviews of actors
staring in said films
• It would contain limited edition articles containing interviews from actors and directors
• It would give advice to young film makers and media students
COLOUR SCHEME
• The colour scheme of the magazine would be blue and red, these two colours are
known to contrast, they are used all throughout media and television because they
contrast on TV as well as on the pages of my magazine
• Magazines that also this are as follows:
