2. Introduction to the general audience.
• The lifestyle of the target audience are people who have a low spending power because
they are students or people who have recently had a good job so they will not be earning
huge amounts, my magazine caters to this because the price of my magazine is low.
• They are students or are new to the working job and have spare time. They use there
spare time to read music magazines and listen to music. They also use other forms of
media like Netflix and TV series to keep up with the latest trends.
• The average reader of my magazine are in a band and buying the magazine is to keep
them up to date with what other bands are doing to copy them.
• They listen to all types of indie and rock music, from oasis to the foo fighters. They like the
variety and due to there low spending power they look for a magazine that provides
content for all types of indie/ rock/ indie rock.
• I have created two audience profiles that indicate two members who might buy the
magazine.

General Target Audience.
My Target audience for my media product will be
aimed at both genders (predominately male) and will
have an age range of 15-35. This is a young target
audience and this is because the content of my
magazine is promoting new up and coming artists and
the stereotypical person who listens to new music are
younger people.
The main audience will be at collage and a stereotypical
collage student who listens to indie rock music, they
listen to bands like Catfish and the Bottlemen, oasis
and other collage bands that they can relate to. This is
evident in my production because Catfish and Oasis are
used on the contents page and my double page spread
is of a collage band itself.
