2. How did you attract/address your audience?
• I attracted my audience by actually designing a music
magazine, younger people want a magazine that is different
and is more suited to them and I think that a music magazine
does this. I conducted a questionnaire in order to try and find
out what my target audience actually liked and if they actually
purchased music magazines. When I looked at my
questionnaires I realised that younger aged people actually
purchased music magazines or said that they would. I believe
that I addressed my audience because of this, I learnt from my
questionnaire that I conducted that younger people were
more willing to buy a music magazine than older people.
3. • I also believe that by using
the colours and images that I
used on my magazine is how
I attracted my target
audience. I used bright
colours and I think that
attracts younger people to
my magazine than older
people. Older people tend
to want to stick to the types
of magazines that are all one
colour, whereas the younger
generation go for magazines
that tend to be bright
colours and that are more
eye-catching to them.
4. • I believe that I attracted my audience by the images that I used
throughout the magazine, they are considered as ‘fun’ and not
the usual images that you would see in a music magazine. They
are different and I believe that they make the magazine stand out
to my target audience a lot more and I believe that this is what
attracts my audience to my magazine. It isn’t the same as every
other music magazine and I believe that this is a good thing
because it means that different types of people can purchase and
enjoy my magazine that perhaps wouldn’t usually want to
purchase a magazine as before they may not have been
interested until they saw my music magazine and thought that
they would give it a go.
