2. • My target audience for my music magazine would be both females and males
aged 16-25 years old, this is quite a range but I believe it is suitable for the kind of
magazine that I have produced. Also the price of the magazine is very affordable
which makes it more likely for the young adults to purchase. Another thing to
consider when talking about my target audience is their taste in music. For
example you wouldn’t aim a dance magazine at elderly women because they
wouldn’t buy it.
3. • From my audience research I conducted I found out all different things I could include in my
magazine, the questionnaire I created and handed out helped me a lot with what to put in the
magazine.
• From the audience research like I asked 9 females and 8 males my questionnaire , this is quite a
neutral perspective so I could get an overall opinion of what both genders wanted to see in a
dance magazine. When asked what type of music they like, the results came back with people
liking dance and indie music so that helped me decide which type of magazine to make and which
music group to aim at.
• From the 17 people asked what there favourite magazine was 12 people said that kerrang was
their favourite magazine so this helped me aim my magazine house style around the kerrang
magazine.
4. • 12 people from the questionnaire said they buy magazines regularly so that means if they liked
the magazine we produced then were likely to purchase it.
• Deciding how much the price of the magazine was easy because I gathered the results from my
questionnaire and the average price feedback was £2.00. I also found out that most 16-25 year
olds read magazines for interviews, to look at the pictures and for free gifts so I would include all
this in what I would put on the magazine to draw the target audience in.
