2. Age
I have asked for ‘age’ on my questionnaire as I would like to know how many different
age groups have answered my questionnaire so that I could predict how many different
kind of age groups purchase magazines and what genre they prefer. I asked this
because the target market of my magazine will be teenagers.
3. Gender
I have asked for ‘Gender’ on my questionnaire as I would like to know who purchases
magazines the most. The result above shows females have answered my questionnaire
the most so I now know to include a variety of images and text to attract genders so
that they can read and purchase my magazine.
4. Genre
Knowing the type of genre people prefer is important to me as I want to base my
magazine on R&B and Hip-Hop. I want to know how many people will prefer R&B and
Hip-hop. By looking at my results I now know most teenagers prefer Hip-Hop the most
and R&B.
5. How often people buy magazines
I need to know how often people buy magazines. My results above show that people
rarely buy magazines and sometimes buy magazines. The often result is short. I now
know I need to make my magazine look unique, attracting and may sell freebies so that
people start to buy my magazine often.
6. How much people are willing to pay
By looking at the above results I can see that I have 50/50 results. I have made the
decision that I will sell my magazine for 2.50 and no more. I have made this decision
because my target market of my magazine will be teenagers and I want to keep my
price cheap and not so expensive as some teenagers can not afford really pricey goods
due to financial needs.
7. What would convince people to buy
the magazine
I have asked this question in my questionnaire so that I can include all the convincing
things in my magazine to attract my target audience. I now know I need to include eye-
catching colours, affordable price, interesting text, information and interviews.
