The Tour Of Your Life
THE TOUR OF YOUR LIFE
It was mid October in Rosewood. The adults were working at their jobs and most of the children were attending school at the
Palm Valley School District. It was a pretty normal life here for James Miles, who was currently attending eighth grade at
Palm Valley Middle School. He had a few friends, had pretty good grades, and was enjoying his life quite fine as it was. At
the time, he was sitting on the walkway during recess, thinking intriguing things while waiting for lunch.
"Yo, James! Come 'ere!" knocked James out of my train of thought.
'Dad gum it, Robert, always interrupting my thoughts... Ugh...' James thought to himself as he stood up from where he was
sitting and walked over to where Robert was. Oh, and Robert ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This was one of the flyers the school prints out every Monday morning that tells about the foods the cafeteria will serve each
day and all the events happening during the week. James read through the handout, looking for events that would happen that
day. After reading through the lunch section, he finally came to the "Occasion Section."
"Occasion Section"
Okay, kids! Here are all the things you have to look forward to this week! Have fun!
MONDAY
–There will be a Student Council meeting at 11:30 during lunch.
TUESDAY
–You will get Progress reports
WEDNESDAY
–Donations to the local foodbank will begin
THURSDAY
–There will be a drawing to go to a tour of the band
That's about as far as he got before widening his eyes a bit. The tour was for "Verdant Harmony." That was his favorite band.
He couldn't believe it. There was no way this was real. They were giving away tickets to the Verdant Harmony band tour? No
way! He slowly looked up at Robert, who had a super wide grin on his face. "So, what do you think?" asked Robert, waiting
for the response he knew was coming. James stood motionless for a minute in disbelief. "Uhhh... How do you think we can
win this, though? There are about three hundred twenty students in the school! What are the odds one of us is going to win?"
asked James concernedly. Honestly, having the odds of two out of three hundred is a pretty bad circumstance, especially
since they were going for two hundred dollar

Springbok Tour Essay
The events that occured in New Zealand during the 1981 Springbok tour were not simply spontaneous. Instead, they were
the result of New Zealanders becoming progressively uneasy over a number of years with New Zealand's readiness to
compete with the Springboks.
The 1960 tour is credited as the starting point for the debate surrounding sporting contact with South Africa. There was
extensive public discussion and anger over the NZRFU's decision to exclude Māori from the All Blacks. In 1959 the All
Blacks received an invitation to tour South Africa the following year. The NZRFU announced that the SARB had requested
that Maori and Pacific Island players be excluded from the team. The NZRFU complied with this request and therefore set
the precedent ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Apartheid regime and term 'apartheid' in South Africa was introduced in 1948 as a part of Daniel Francois Malan's
election campaign. The apartheid system was a type of racial segregation introduced in South Africa in 1948, resulting in the
majority of Blacks in South Africa being refused basic human rights, whilst whites were living in a time of 'white
supremacy'. It included laws such as the Population Registration Act 1950, the Reservation of Separate Amenities Act 1953,
and the Immorality Act 1950. These laws severely limited the rights of blacks. The apartheid system forcefully suppressed
any resistance, such as at Sharpeville on March 21 1960, when 69 blacks were killed, and the Soweto Riots 1976–77, when
576 people died. This abuse towards people of colour in South Africa made people around the world want to protest against
South Africa's government. However, the New Zealand government did not take serious action against South Africa. The
National government had a protocol of 'bridge–building', which sustained ties with South Africa. They allowed sporting
contact, such as a Springbok tour of New Zealand in 1960. This led to protest in 1981 because the government's lack of
action against the abuse caused by the apartheid system made people want to protest

The Women's Professional Tour
For decades, the women's professional tour (LPGA) has been considered of minuscule importance in comparison to the
men's tour (PGA) or even the men's senior tour (Champions Tour) on several levels. First, in terms of prize money, until very
recently, the top winner on the LPGA tour would not even make the top 50 on the PGA Tour money list (PGATour. com,
2003),1 and the average prize money for female golfers was less than half that of male golfers. Second, in terms of exposure,
men's golf can often be found on network television or ESPN for as many as 40 hours per weekend, whereas women's golf
typically gets only 4 hours per weekend on a secondary cable network (USA Today, 2003). Finally, in terms of ratings, men's
events are watched by more than four times as many viewers as women's events (Martzke, 2003). In fact, virtually every way
in which male and female golfers can be compared shows female players less well paid, less exposed, and less appreciated–
or judged less important–than male players. What does televised coverage contribute to the national discourse about golf and
gender?
Tennis is another venue that has proven ripe for gender analysis, largely because the Grand Slam events feature men's and
women's matches within the same telecast. The most prominent study in this area was conducted by Halbert and Latimer
(1994), who examined a rare cross–gender match (Martina Navratilova vs. Jimmy Connors). They found that even when the
score was tied in the first set, Connors

Characteristics Of The Geologic Tour
For century's scientist have studied the planet earth as a means to understand its makeup and vast terrains. Earth is
considered unique in the sense due to the fact that it's the only planet in the universe known to host actual life forms. Our
planet is inhabited by millions of diverse species who dwell in different regions and landscapes. Over the course of time and
through various advances in technology, many different sciences have emerged on the scene furthering mankind's
understanding of their environment as a whole. These discoveries have also provided a great deal of insight into the
significant impact both humans and nature play in shaping environmental conditions as well.
The four basic fields primarily utilized to study the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Mount Aso is an active volcano in the center of Kyushu in Aso–Kuju National Park. This volcanic feature was formed by
four massive caldera eruptions and is a product of subduction of the Pacific Plate under the Eurasian Plate. These two plates
are at a convergent boundary. Its ancient caldera ranks among the world's largest, with a diameter of up to 25 kilometers and
a circumference of over 100 kilometers. A caldera is defined as a cauldron–like volcanic feature located on large central
volcanoes. This is a special kind of volcanic crater created by a magma chamber being emptied.
Mount Aso has also produced more explosive eruptions than any other volcano in the world. Aso is a cinder–cone volcano
which contains felsic lava/magma. It also contains bomb–rich basaltic pyroclastic. Most of the explosions generated by this
volcano are viewed as violent producing ash and blocks. Mount Aso has not erected lava flows in historic times.
Only 8 eruptions have resulted in fatalities over the years. The majority of these deaths are tourists on the rim of the cone. It
is also important to note that frequent activity makes it extremely dangerous to live near this feature. Another hazard one
must take into consideration is inhaling volcanic gas seeping from this monstrosity.

Immunization Tour
Immunizations, in my opinion, are one of the most crucial ways to protect yourself and others in receiving and spreading of
diseases. On the 26th of October, in the McNamara Alumni Center, I volunteered for two hours with the Fall 2017
Immunization Tour. My role in the tour, along with three other nursing students, was to stand in the entrance and show
people where to go. Even in this small act, I felt as though I was making a difference. This experience was valuable to me in
my future actions to become a nurse. My experience at the Fall 2017 Immunization Tour was impacted significantly through
the efforts of safety, teamwork, and communication.
The Immunization Tour notably focused and relied on the implications of safety. Since I volunteered at the tour in the
morning, when they first started, I got to stand around the huddle before the opened the doors. One of the key details they
talked about was the importance of what to do in cases of needle sticks. The volunteers giving the ... Show more content on

Teamwork was also addressed in the huddle prior to the opening of the clinic. In working together as a team, they could
effectively assist the appointments and the walk–ins in a reasonable amount of time. Their teamwork was clearly helpful
since the line moved efficiently and was never awfully long. The communication of the administers and other volunteers,
including myself, was a third key factor in the tour's process. Our communication included the freshman nursing students
leading the patients in, the second set of volunteers greeting them at the desk, the third set of volunteers administering the
shots, and the fourth set of volunteers handed out stickers, suckers, and lead the patients out after the shots. This cycle of
communication was highly effective in the speed and safety of administering the flu shots. The teamwork and
communication efforts involved lead to an efficient

Essay On Constructing A Tour
After viewing the presentation by Martin Atkins, I've taken away many aspects and topics that would potentially be of use
when constructing a tour. Some of my favorite topics presented include the importance of finding your fans before the
touring process and knowing where to play in order to be successful. Atkins even agrees, in some cases, with the idea that it
might be in your best interest to play a lot of shows consistently in a selected city/area where you have already established a
following before moving cities and having those shows turn out to be a bust. He points out the importance of creating a
community with your fans and I especially like the idea that a band must find interest in all their fans and followers before
they can ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some other insightful ideas presented in the workshop include the flower petal theory and the idea of creating an alliance
with other bands who are starting out and who you share the stage with each show. The flower petal theory explains that
once you find a city that is working for your band, find a nearby city with growing interest in your band and establish your
presence there. Once that location is established, branch out again and repeat the process. Eventually you will have multiple
petals of cities that connect and that you can keep coming back to and finding success creating a flower–like shape on a map.
As your band becomes bigger and more successful, the flower will grow, spreading out over a larger portion of the map. I
find this theory to be both efficient and sensitive to your budget because you are somewhat restrained to a certain portion on
the map and you will not waste resources and money traveling to a place that won't work out, and you will consistently bring
in a following each night at your shows. While the idea of creating an alliance with other bands you share the stage with
might seem like common sense, the outcome it can have on your band often gets undervalued and underappreciated. If you
do something as simple as exchange thoughts or comment with each other on social media, each band's following is
networking with one another and you soon form a bond with the other band's fans, which will in turn expand your fan base

Corruption In Lance Armstrong's Tour De France
Lance Armstrong was the greatest cyclist of all time that is until he was stripped from all his winnings. Armstrong won Tour
de France for seven consecutive years. First winning the competition in 1999 and ending his streak in 2005. Armstrong
became a major sports figure for not only winning Tour de France, but also winning his fight against cancer. He seemed like
the ideal athlete, humble, caring, and compassionate. Armstrong also founded his own organization for the battle against
cancer, currently known as LiveStrong. Armstrong had everything going for him that is until he was involved in a major
scandal. In 2013 Armstrong admitted to using blood doping and other illegal banned drugs to help him win Tour de France
throughout the years. The media went bizarre on hearing the news, and everything went downhill for him. Armstrong was
erased from the history books for having the longest consecutive winning streak in Tour de France. All his winner's medals
and achievements where stripped from him. Armstrong went from being the number one cyclist in the world, to the most
hated and unrespected cyclist. Even his cancer organization, LiveStrong, suffered major deficits. ... Show more content on

As of today there are several ongoing corruption scandals, ranging from the use of illegal substances, bribery, and many
others. Not only is corruption found in professional sports but it is also becoming more evident in college sports and even in
high school sports. We live in a world where athletes are taught they must do whatever it takes to win, even if it means
cheating. Corruption in professional sports has changed the sports industry, creating an unfair and unloyal sense of
competition within different professional sports. It is presented in different forms today, and stricter laws should be
sanctioned upon corruption

The Problem Of Tour Information
As a whole, I believe the site quite easy to guide your way through all sections of the site, as everything is very clear and has
its own space in plain sight. The only negative is the lack of tour information. By viewing the site, it comes apparent that the
band want to portray an image that says "we are old, we are modern, and we know what we are doing". They show a rugged
edge with their lack of color use on the site, but this adds to the feel of what music they play. With the image that the band
wants to put out there, comes the fans that the band wants to attract. It appears that the band is not trying to put themselves
out there any more, as they are quite old. So I believe that they are not actively trying to bring in new fans. But they know
that they will be heard by new people, and so they share their music for free on their own site. I do not know how often the
site is updated, so this could have been a different story a couple years ago. But in 2014, when the site was last updated, the
site is aimed towards those who have already heard their music. They do not shove any information right in your face on the
home page, rather they leave the home page blank to show an image of the fun they had on stage. Punk is a genre that was
typically aimed towards the angry middle–class white male. But today there is a wider acceptance towards women in the
punk scene. As Lauren Langman, in her paper presents, "angrier working–class youth were more likely to wear black

Cannibal Tours
Cannibal Tours
In "Cannibalizing, Commodifying , or Creating Culture? Power and Art in Sepik River Tourism," Silverman makes several
critiques of O'Rourke's Cannibal Tours. Silverman argues that O'Rourke constructed a limited view of the New Guinea
tribes. Silverman attributes the eroding 'authenticity' to the tourists' pursuit for entertainment in exchange for money. For
instance, O'Rourke's interviews mostly covered reactions from tourists and how they gawked over the natives, arrogantly
depicting their primitive lives. Silverman argues that the film "portrays tourism as a process that only disempowers local
people and erodes from their lives all genuine, meaningful dimensions of their culture"(Silverman 1996). Tourism is much

Anthropologists and filmmakers differ greatly from the tourists in this situation. The filmmaker is sort of the in–between of
the tourists and anthropologist. For example, O'Rourke himself is not portrayed in the same manner that the other tourist are,
but in the eyes of the local people, he is as much of a tourist as anyone for the simple fact that he is white. However
O'Rourke differs from the tourists because he is on their land with a goal in mind of creating a film. Lastly, the
anthropologists are different from the latter because they go to primitive cultures with a broader view to understand cross–
cultural perspective. Meaning, that they have the job of studying and understanding one culture, but it is equally as important

I decided to go for a moderately scheduled interview. I wanted everything to flow naturally and to sound conversational. I
did not want it to sound robotic. I chose three main topics, which were the tour, personal information, and tourist. When I set
up this structure, I wrote at least three questions for each topic.
Also, I wanted the questions to be in an hourglass sequence. I usually choose an inverted tunnel sequence, so I tried
something new. Sadly, this did not work in my favor as I intended. Any closed ended questions that I planned to ask, Ms.
Jones would answer them when answering an open ended question.
From time to time, it was not easy trying to read my interviewee. I did not know if Ms. Jones was comfortable with me or
not. She had no problem answering my questions and she was descriptive. She had this calmness and she never rushed an
answer. I wanted to talk about something she likes, so I would ask her questions, such as what is your favorite tour stop to
talk about. I think both of our favorite question was when I asked who her favorite African–American activist was. She said
Maya Angelo. I thought that was ironic being that way she talked and her presence reminded me of Maya

whether that be in a lab, hospital, specialized care facility, or clinics. They're able to work alongside patients and other
physicians to help treat heart and blood vessel diseases. Compared to a cardiovascular surgeon, they do a lot less stuff. They
often assist in surgery but will not be as hands on and will not be leading the procedure. They also make much less money
than the surgeon, however they only require a fraction of the education. Pros to this career would be a decent pay with very

Battle Of Tours Essay
The Battle of Tours was fought on October 10, 732 AD between the Frankish Empire, led by Charles Martel, and the
Moorish army, led by Abd der Rahman near the city of Tours, France. The Frankish Empire included the territories of much
of modern–day France, western Germany, Switzerland, along with Belgium and the Netherlands, and was the dominant
Christian power in Western Europe at the time. The Middle East was becoming united under the religion of Islam and was
beginning to conquer more distant lands. The Muslim army had crossed the Gibraltar Straight and entered into Europe by
way of present–day Spain. From here they began to set up new kingdoms and conquer other parts of Europe primarily for
plunder of treasure. Despite the great importance ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Leading up to the Battle of Tours, the Umayyad Caliphate were working their way throughout the Middle East and Southeast
Asia conquering the villages and tribes as they were interested in expanding from their lands in Arabia into lands which were
green and fertile. They continued to move into Africa and then into Spain before deciding to move up into France to conquer
the Franks. For several days, both armies watched each other before Abd er Rahman had his army charge the Franks, who
were in a tightly packed defensive formation. The Franks were primarily an infantry force complete with heavy armor. They
were prepared for the cold weather and they had the advantage of being familiar with the terrain. In contrast, the Islamic
army consisted mainly of cavalry and was geared for offensive warfare. They wore little armor, and they relied on their
swords and lances. At one point, some of the Franks began to raid the Muslim camp. A large part of the Muslim forces broke

Saint Martin Of Tours : A Roman Military Officer
Saint Martin of Tours
Born to pagan parents; his father was a Roman military officer. Martin was raised in Pavia, Italy. Became a Christian, and
became a catechumen in his early teens. Joined the Roman imperial army at age 15, serving in a ceremonial unit that acted as
the emperor's bodyguard, hardly fought. Cavalry officer, and assigned to garrison duty in Gaul.
Baptised into the Church at age 18. Trying to live his faith, he refused to let his servant wait on him. Once, while on
horseback in Amiens in Gaul, he encountered a beggar. Having nothing to give but the clothes on his back, Martin cut his
officer's cloak in half, and gave it to the beggar. Later he had a vision of Christ wearing the cloak. This incident became
graphic of Martin.
Just before a battle, Martin announced that his faith prohibited him from fighting. He was charged with cowardice, was
jailed, and his superiors planned to put him in the front of the battle. However, the invaders sued for peace, the battle never
occurred, and Martin was released from military service at Worms ,Germany, and became a spiritual student of Saint Hilary
at Poitiers, France.
On a visit to Lombardy to see his parents, Martin was robbed in the mountains, but managed to convert one of the thieves. At
home he found that his mother had converted, but his father had not. The area was strongly Arian, and openly hostile to
Catholics. Martin was badly abused by the heretics, at one point even by the order of an Arian bishop. Learning

Choir Tour Epidemic
Choir Tour Epidemic It was choir tour, and we were all excited. We loaded up the bus and found our seats. As we drove
along we were playing games and singing. In general being noise. Our first stop was in which was a long ways from Weimar.
We drove for about 10 hours straight. At first the time seamed to fly, but after the first few hours the time seamed to drag. It
was Friday so as the sun began to set we all joined together and sang a few songs. When we got there it was very late and we
found the room we were assigned to, and bedded down. Soon everyone was asleep. The next day or two nothing was
unusual. Everyone was happy and well. We got into the routine of choir tour. Getting up early, having devotions, packing up,
eating and then loading up to go to the next location. Then, around the third day, someone got sick, then another and another.

I was worried that I would get it. On the sixth day we had a large concert. About three fourths of all the students were not

the side doors. Those playing in the orchestra were told the same thing. During the concert several of the students got up and
left. Some returned for the next song, others didn't. The people playing percussion were all sick so they would take turns two
of them playing and one resting. Amazingly, when we were through with the concert, people came up to us and thanked us.
We were stunned. These people really meant it. To us it had seemed one of our worst concerts, but God had changed that. He
made it possible for us to bless people, even through our weakness. This incident brings to mind the bible verse found in 2

The Talk Of The Tour Golf Podcast Research Paper
The Talk of the Tour Golf Podcast is a weekly aired podcast that elaborates on what is happening all around the world in
golf, but specifically what is happening on the PGA tour. Every Wednesday the talk show hosts the past weeks winner on the
PGA tour and asks them questions to understand their road to glory and victory. The commentator is usually John Swantek,
but he started his Thanksgiving early, so it will be Sean Martin asking the winner questions. These podcasts by the Talk of

If you win a tour event, you prove to others you are the real deal on tour. Sean Martin then makes a funny comment saying
how the trophy from the victory will make a great center piece at the table over Thanksgiving dinner. He connects with the
guest because Austin Cook thought the exact same thing for Thanksgiving. Sean then continues to ask Austin about his
upcoming festivities over Thanksgiving. There were a few basic questions like "what is your go to over Thanksgiving meal?"
and "what are the ingredients in that part of the meal?" (Martin). The speaker's question start to become slightly boring so he
changes up the subject.
After the basic Thanksgiving questions, Sean starts asking him his rode to his victory and how he gained enough confidence
to overcome the challenged of winning. When Austin was still on mini tours (tours that lead up to the PGA tour), he qualified
for two PGA tour events and had two solid top 15 finishes. "Once I get out here (PGA Tour), I am going to have a bright
future out here" (Martin), this is a quote Austin Cook said after one of his top 15 finishes. That self–belief has lead him to
where he is today just now reaching his first PGA tour event victory. Also, Austin explained how the PGA tour would better
fit his game than the mini tour and web.com tour (step below PGA tour). He elaborated how one of his strengths is how well

Independent Field Tour
My independent field trip was a social, historical, and critical walking tour that took place on April 28th. My tour started at
SOMArts explain in which I commuted from campus to SOMArts, estimating around forty–minutes and requiring two buses
for transportation. We explored the South of market in which I had the opportunity to see the hidden history behind its past:
old train trails, former and current breweries, and dunes for no expense at all! The tour then proceeded to 8th and Harrison,
then to Alameda and Bryant, and then to Mission Bay along the Mission Creek channel, and, finally, back to SOMArts. The
tour guide shared that several factors contributed to the transformation of SOMA: changing populations, industrialization,
and neighborhood successions. As I began to observe the environment in the South of Market area I noticed the level of high
technological advances that transformed the city forever. For example, the South of Market area is currently almost entirely
man–made, ultimately, diminishing the sense of history while walking through the South of ... Show more content on

The Jackson Brewing company was opened in 1859 by veteran brewers Thomas Green and Jacob Lyon located on First
street between Howard and Folsom. It acted as a brewery for those during the prohibition, however, got shut down for illegal
distribution and possession of alcohol. Green and Lyon sold the brewery ascribed to the restrictions during the Prohibition to
Frederick, where it was relocated to Mission and 11th. The Jackson Brewery was demolished due to the 1906 Earthquake.
However, since the Jackson Brewing Company is no longer in business in San Francisco, viewing photos of the landmark

that stood out to me about this brewery, rather than the others, is that it was listed as a Local

Essay on Tour de France Drug Abuse
The question of drug use among athletes in what was previously considered by the unknowing public to be a rather pristine
sport, cycling, is important in that it will affect all future Tours and will place them and the athletes under scrutiny. To begin
with, in Europe until the 1998 scandal occurred, despite a few exceptions, cycling was considered a drug free sport. The
1998 drug scandal tarnished the Tour de France and the reputation and image of other sports. The media response to the
scandal took differing positions on what should be done next to clean up cycling. The scandal also affected advertisements,
sales, and without question the 1999 Tour and Lance Armstrong. Since even the most naïve fan no longer trusts the cyclists,

Pedro Delgado even argued that somebody put them in his glass, and that he did not even notice it.
Still these incidents were considered minor in comparison to the sandal of 1998. "Nowhere has the disgrace of doping been
felt more dramatically than in the Tour de France, the world's most prestigious cycling event" (Wilson E6).
The scandal started on July 8 when Festina's team masseur, Willy Voet crossed the French–Belgian border and was checked
by French customs authorities. Driving an official car, issued by the Societe du Tour de France, nobody would have thought
that he could be stopped. Voet was carrying plenty of banned substances in his car, which immediately resulted in Voet's
arrest. The drugs found in the car were erythropoietin (or EPO), human growth hormone, testosterone, syringes, and
amphetamines. Voet confessed a few days after being arrested that it "was not the first time he'd ferried such a haul of
performance–enhancing dope to big races, generally, as on this occasion, under order from the Festina team bosses" (Fife
201). As soon as the Tour arrived in France on July 14th, the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) suspended the professional
licenses of Festina's sports directors, Roussel and Ryckaert, and put the leaders of the team, Richard Virenque, Laurent
Brochard, and Laurent Dufaux on hold. The following day the Festina team was disqualified from the Tour after some of

A tour of the historical James Wadsworth Rossetter House at 1320 Highland Avenue, Melbourne shows an interesting sight
of old and genuine architecture. The tour starts by going through the main house which was built in the Eau Gallie section of
Melbourne in 1859 by John Houston who intended for it to be a plantation. The main house is restored to how it was
renovated by James Rossetter in 1904. The tour then goes into the building behind which was built to be a slave shack by
Houston but that ended soon after the Civil War. After the house was taken by William Roesch, the back building was
converted to a kitchen and had a second floor added. The tour ends by going through the gardens of the house that contain
many exotic plants. The Rossetter

The Challenges Of Tour Guides In The Tourism And...
The Tourism and Hospitality Industry is one of the largest industries in the country. This industry is one of the key front–line
players which contributes greatly to the growth of the economy of a country. They are the vital source of income for both
government and private sectors. People often mistaken that the duty of the profession in the tourism and hospitality to be
somewhat similar, that is to serve clients but in fact, there is actually a vast difference between the roles of a tour guide,
travel tour manager and travel agency manager.
According to Sokanu (2017), tour guides are individuals who work in the travel industry, giving guided tours to groups of
visitors and typically the residents of the region in which they give tours. Tour guides have the ability to transform the
tourists' visits from a tour to a life–long experience through the delivery of knowledge and interpretations of the attractions
and culture at the destinations with their communication and service skills. A tour guide's duties highly depend on their
employer and location. The three prime areas of specialization in the guiding industry are corporate ... Show more content on

In certain parts of the worlds, travelers are keen to explore and travel without the need of having everything arranged for

Additionally, the increasing transparency of prices is another problem that travel agency managers face (Murison, 2015).

As a young man, leaving your home country for the first time is a very scary endeavor. I had barely left the small state of
West Virginia, much less, traveled abroad to a whole other continent. I was about to embark upon the second adventure of
my adult life. The first being my first airplane ride to attend basic training at Fort Bliss, in El Paso, Texas. I was happy to be
doing be doing things as an adult, and I was proud to serve my country, yet I was very anxious about what may lie ahead for

It seemed that there were people everywhere. Most were walking or on bicycles, but it seemed no one was just standing
around. Everyone had a purpose, not just meandering around, just very busy people. The buildings were a little better than
primitive, and the roads were small and windy. Cars were not commonplace, and they shared the roads with bikes and motor
scooters, but it was their transportation system, and it worked for them.
As I spent my tour in Korea, I began to understand the politics of us being in Korea. We were there to offer protection from
the North and to help make sure that the South Korean economy was stabilized. I made good on my promise to experience
the culture, and my tour in Korea helped me develop into the man that loved to travel the world. It was the start of my
maturation process, a far cry from the young kid that started this journey twenty eight years ago. Since then I have been to
many countries, and back to Korea, all while I was on active duty for the Army. I hope, now that I have retired from the

Doping and The Tour de France: Lance Armstrong
Doping has been present in the Tour de France cycling races since 1903. Doping is when a drug is taken by an athlete to
improve his or her performance. In the beginning, Tour cyclists would ingest alcohol, ether, and other addicting substances,
to dull the pain in endurance cycling competitions. Later on, riders began using substances and drugs to improve their
performance and endurance, rather than diminishing the pain. Soon the government and other people began to notice these
practices, so they formed organizations such as the Tour and the International Cycling Union to battle them. From around
1903 to the 1940s doping was considered acceptable, but in the 1950s and 1960s people started to take an anti–doping
approach. The first doctor as an advocate for the testing and decrease of doping was Pierre Dumas. He held this movement
for cycling, as well as something so international, the Olympic Games. Eventually, testing riders in the cycling road races
were being carried out, and several athletes were found positive for performance enhancing drugs and were suspended or
disqualified from their races. The consequences and effects of doping can be noticeable, harmful, and very devastating.
These performance enhancing drugs can lead to severe health conditions or problems, and even death. Athletes who take
steroids can develop acne, have mood swings or increased aggression, high blood pressure, increased risk of liver or

According to Holloway(2009) "Inclusive tour" is the product that tour operators offer to customer by packaging combination
of series of integrated travel services which consist of an accommodation, transport and other services as transfer and extras.
By buying in bulk the operators are able to offer this package at a cheaper price than the customer could obtain themselves.
Therefore the operators are able to create and give to the customer an "inclusive Tour" in a competitive price.
Package holidays include tailor made holidays with ancillary products and services.

A Tour of the Human Body
Welcome to our Fantastic Voyage! On this journey, we will explore how nutrients are consumed and passed through the
human body before they are finally expelled. This journey will take us through the digestive, circulatory, and digestive
systems. Our journey will begin after we enter our male test subject's system by inconspicuously entering the digestive
system as part of his delicious, all–American meal consisting of a juicy hamburger, crispy french fries, and an ice–cold root
beer. Our tour will begin as we enter the body through the mouth. As we are thrown about the oral cavity, please note how
mastication allows our delicious meal to be broken down by saliva and the simultaneous grinding of the food by the test
subject's teeth. It is important to note the different types of teeth that we see. As we move from the center of the mouth
towards the back you will notice that there are two sets of incisors, a set of canines, and a set of premolars, which are
followed by first and second molars (Thibodeau, 1992). The clear substance that is secreted all around us during this process
is called salivary amylase. This mucosal fluid will allow us to travel smoothly to the esophagus and into the stomach. Right
underneath us, at the bottom of the mouth is the tongue and right above us are the hard and soft palates (Gregory, n.d.).

down into the esophagus. That is

Warped Tour Narrative
Sweat ran down my body as I waited in line in 90 degree heat. A drawstring bag full of necessities was slung on my back,

Boston Tour History
The sketches and the scribbles from his Grand tour of Europe (1785–87) had become the blueprints of the to–be designed
City of Boston. They significantly influenced Bulfinch in shaping and creating a tone to the city. Through the windows of his
tour he experienced the vastness in planning principles which had set the extents of the elaborately designed Queen's Bath.
From Adam's stucco–rococo interiors to massive–scaled town planning institutions, elaborate leaf capital order of Greek
columns of the terraces to the mixed–use residential institutions; the tour offered the gentlemen with the skills that later
would define the architecture of Boston. Tontine crescent was the first attempt by Bulfinch in introducing the monumental

The Boston directory for 1789 shows an open expanse, unplanned sans streets in this area. Bulfinch in the company of two
other gentlemen, Charles Vaughan, his wife's brother–in–law and the merchant William Scollay bought and developed a

after Mr. Barrell moved to a newly built mansion designed by Bulfinch. The plans of Tontine Crescent reflect the
conceptualization of giving a character of one large imposing building that is intended to introduce grace and grandeur into
the street by following Bulfinch's curvilinear plan. The form was suggested by Queen's square in Bath, constructed more

It seemed at the start of the show they sang songs that where at the start of their music careers and progressed through their

Humble and Kind" and Faith's "I need you", which was an encore song. During the encore everyone thought that the show
was over, but Tim came out into the Stadium seat and Faith walked through the floor seats and they sang. The special effects
added even more to the experience. I would go back and see the same exact show if I had the chance. The crowd was a very
respectful crowd. For me it did not seem to be the stereotypical crowd that you would imagine at a summer concert that this
was. People where up and singing and dancing to the music and where having an overall good time listening to the music.
The crowd ranged from little kids to adults, but everyone was almost in unison with the music, it's a weird thing to
experience. From where my family where sitting we did not see that much alcohol being drank and even less intoxicated
people. With this you could really enjoy the show without having to deal with annoying drunk fans. If you accidently bump
into someone they where respectful and apologized. You could talk to your family and Tim and Faith would encourage you
to sing along to the music by stopping mid song and you would sing without them.

Gregory Of Tours Summary
Without the religious influence of the noble women during the 6th century, Christianity would not have spread so quickly
throughout the Germanic world. Their independent lifestyle allowed for the ability to influence noble men and subjects
towards Christianity while overseeing the construction of religious buildings.
Gregory of Tours writes a descriptive narrative of the lives of nobility in his book History of the Franks. Any women
mentioned in this narrative were of noble status. Merovingians, the leaders where Gregory of Tours resided often attributed
their powers to the aristocrats. Gregory himself was a Bishop and therefore from a higher class as well. Since he was a
Bishop it comes to no surprise that he took interest in the religious matters and practices during King Clovis' time. It should
be noted that although Gregory of Tours resided in the same century as King Clovis, he was alive after the time of King
Clovis and most other subjects listed in his History of the Franks.
He focused mostly on the rise of early Christianity in Gaul as well as Clermont–Ferrand (later was ... Show more content on

Without being married to Clotild, the Christian God wouldn't of popped into his mind to pray for. Clovis then invited the
Bishop to talk to King Clovis in hopes to persuade him to convert. The Queen invited him over in secret, again showing the

then conquers. It could be said without Clotild's devotion, Clovis' success in conquering and spreading Christianity would
not have happened. Part of the reason Gregory of Tours admires King Clovis so much is because of his ability to spread
Christianity throughout the Frankish tribes. When in reality, the Frankish wouldn't be Christian without the efforts of Clotild
and other independent noble women and their endeavors to spread

machinery that somehow seemed to make the passenger feel secure even with the alarming grumbling of the engine. The
back of the van was filled and now, on this late summer day, we were taking our leave from the shore. I looked back once
more at the sea where the sunset splattered colors of red and orange on the rough surface of blue and violet. Although the
boardwalk was lively with smells of French fries and the cries of seagulls, I nuzzled into the car seat and waited for the Night
Time Tour to begin.
I absolutely loved long car rides; it was the perfect excuse to let idle thoughts roam and to isolate myself from the world. I
only observed the outside through the window of the family van, my personal theater. The images that flashed hastily before
the window was like a film strip; only revealing the pictures of the scenes for only a moment. This car ride was especially
exquisite, for the hours it took to reach our destination allowed my imagination to mingle with the fleeting world which were
only separated by a window.
The sun dimmed to a warm orange and the first act of the Night Time Tour began. My family had just driven out of the
gradually bustling city and was on the highway. Everybody was going towards the shore to find a good

Warfield Tour Analysis
Larney also discovered work once again for Warfield in the musical Regina. In this musical, he would be traveling for four
weeks. The tour would be from New Haven, Boston then back to New York. This show would appear over many
newspapers, and critics raved about the part that Warfield had. This boosted Warfield's self–confidence and he could not be
stopped. Larney continued to get him interviews, and mater teachers to have conversations with him to give pointers.
Warfield remained teachable, which is what kept him attractable to the many professionals who wanted to work with him.
In the reviews of Warfield in the New York papers read "Baitone Warfield Superb in Concert", in the Telegraph–Sun; a rave
review headed "Unusual Baritone" from Irv Kolodin in the Saturday Review; "Great New Voice", headlined in Newsweek,

He did a total of thirteen programs while on tour, and received rousing standing ovations at each program. The programs
Warfield did while there, were dedicated to his two principal coaches, Otto Herz and Yves Tinayre. The majority of his
exposure to the repertoire he performed on tour came from these two men. While on tour, Warfield was asked to do several
encore presentations. The first time he had ever been asked to do such a thing. This certainly made him happy, and he would
reach back and pull out music that he studied at Eastman. Also, he pulled from the music his mother would sing as a child in
church.
When returning back to America, he then realised how demanding the schedule. Though, he learned how to maintain his
health properly while being on the go so much. However, Warfield made a promise to himself to never pick up such a
demanding schedule again. At this time, William decided to take only speaking engagements. This way he could take a small
break from singing and get more experience in public

The Tour Of Your Life

  • 1. The Tour Of Your Life THE TOUR OF YOUR LIFE It was mid October in Rosewood. The adults were working at their jobs and most of the children were attending school at the Palm Valley School District. It was a pretty normal life here for James Miles, who was currently attending eighth grade at Palm Valley Middle School. He had a few friends, had pretty good grades, and was enjoying his life quite fine as it was. At the time, he was sitting on the walkway during recess, thinking intriguing things while waiting for lunch. "Yo, James! Come 'ere!" knocked James out of my train of thought. 'Dad gum it, Robert, always interrupting my thoughts... Ugh...' James thought to himself as he stood up from where he was sitting and walked over to where Robert was. Oh, and Robert ... This was one of the flyers the school prints out every Monday morning that tells about the foods the cafeteria will serve each day and all the events happening during the week. James read through the handout, looking for events that would happen that day. After reading through the lunch section, he finally came to the "Occasion Section." "Occasion Section" Okay, kids! Here are all the things you have to look forward to this week! Have fun! MONDAY –There will be a Student Council meeting at 11:30 during lunch. TUESDAY –You will get Progress reports WEDNESDAY –Donations to the local foodbank will begin THURSDAY –There will be a drawing to go to a tour of the band That's about as far as he got before widening his eyes a bit. The tour was for "Verdant Harmony." That was his favorite band. He couldn't believe it. There was no way this was real. They were giving away tickets to the Verdant Harmony band tour? No way! He slowly looked up at Robert, who had a super wide grin on his face. "So, what do you think?" asked Robert, waiting for the response he knew was coming. James stood motionless for a minute in disbelief. "Uhhh... How do you think we can win this, though? There are about three hundred twenty students in the school! What are the odds one of us is going to win?" asked James concernedly. Honestly, having the odds of two out of three hundred is a pretty bad circumstance, especially since they were going for two hundred dollar ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 3. Springbok Tour Essay The events that occured in New Zealand during the 1981 Springbok tour were not simply spontaneous. Instead, they were the result of New Zealanders becoming progressively uneasy over a number of years with New Zealand's readiness to compete with the Springboks. The 1960 tour is credited as the starting point for the debate surrounding sporting contact with South Africa. There was extensive public discussion and anger over the NZRFU's decision to exclude Māori from the All Blacks. In 1959 the All Blacks received an invitation to tour South Africa the following year. The NZRFU announced that the SARB had requested that Maori and Pacific Island players be excluded from the team. The NZRFU complied with this request and therefore set the precedent ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Apartheid regime and term 'apartheid' in South Africa was introduced in 1948 as a part of Daniel Francois Malan's election campaign. The apartheid system was a type of racial segregation introduced in South Africa in 1948, resulting in the majority of Blacks in South Africa being refused basic human rights, whilst whites were living in a time of 'white supremacy'. It included laws such as the Population Registration Act 1950, the Reservation of Separate Amenities Act 1953, and the Immorality Act 1950. These laws severely limited the rights of blacks. The apartheid system forcefully suppressed any resistance, such as at Sharpeville on March 21 1960, when 69 blacks were killed, and the Soweto Riots 1976–77, when 576 people died. This abuse towards people of colour in South Africa made people around the world want to protest against South Africa's government. However, the New Zealand government did not take serious action against South Africa. The National government had a protocol of 'bridge–building', which sustained ties with South Africa. They allowed sporting contact, such as a Springbok tour of New Zealand in 1960. This led to protest in 1981 because the government's lack of action against the abuse caused by the apartheid system made people want to protest ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 11. The Women's Professional Tour For decades, the women's professional tour (LPGA) has been considered of minuscule importance in comparison to the men's tour (PGA) or even the men's senior tour (Champions Tour) on several levels. First, in terms of prize money, until very recently, the top winner on the LPGA tour would not even make the top 50 on the PGA Tour money list (PGATour. com, 2003),1 and the average prize money for female golfers was less than half that of male golfers. Second, in terms of exposure, men's golf can often be found on network television or ESPN for as many as 40 hours per weekend, whereas women's golf typically gets only 4 hours per weekend on a secondary cable network (USA Today, 2003). Finally, in terms of ratings, men's events are watched by more than four times as many viewers as women's events (Martzke, 2003). In fact, virtually every way in which male and female golfers can be compared shows female players less well paid, less exposed, and less appreciated– or judged less important–than male players. What does televised coverage contribute to the national discourse about golf and gender? Tennis is another venue that has proven ripe for gender analysis, largely because the Grand Slam events feature men's and women's matches within the same telecast. The most prominent study in this area was conducted by Halbert and Latimer (1994), who examined a rare cross–gender match (Martina Navratilova vs. Jimmy Connors). Earth is considered unique in the sense due to the fact that it's the only planet in the universe known to host actual life forms. Our planet is inhabited by millions of diverse species who dwell in different regions and landscapes. Over the course of time and through various advances in technology, many different sciences have emerged on the scene furthering mankind's understanding of their environment as a whole. This volcanic feature was formed by four massive caldera eruptions and is a product of subduction of the Pacific Plate under the Eurasian Plate. These two plates are at a convergent boundary. Its ancient caldera ranks among the world's largest, with a diameter of up to 25 kilometers and a circumference of over 100 kilometers. A caldera is defined as a cauldron–like volcanic feature located on large central volcanoes. This is a special kind of volcanic crater created by a magma chamber being emptied. Mount Aso has also produced more explosive eruptions than any other volcano in the world. Aso is a cinder–cone volcano which contains felsic lava/magma. It also contains bomb–rich basaltic pyroclastic. Most of the explosions generated by this volcano are viewed as violent producing ash and blocks. Mount Aso has not erected lava flows in historic times. Only 8 eruptions have resulted in fatalities over the years. The majority of these deaths are tourists on the rim of the cone. It is also important to note that frequent activity makes it extremely dangerous to live near this feature. Another hazard one must take into consideration is inhaling volcanic gas seeping from this monstrosity. • 15. Immunization Tour Immunizations, in my opinion, are one of the most crucial ways to protect yourself and others in receiving and spreading of diseases. On the 26th of October, in the McNamara Alumni Center, I volunteered for two hours with the Fall 2017 Immunization Tour. My role in the tour, along with three other nursing students, was to stand in the entrance and show people where to go. Even in this small act, I felt as though I was making a difference. This experience was valuable to me in my future actions to become a nurse. My experience at the Fall 2017 Immunization Tour was impacted significantly through the efforts of safety, teamwork, and communication. The Immunization Tour notably focused and relied on the implications of safety. Since I volunteered at the tour in the morning, when they first started, I got to stand around the huddle before the opened the doors. One of the key details they talked about was the importance of what to do in cases of needle sticks. The volunteers giving the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Teamwork was also addressed in the huddle prior to the opening of the clinic. In working together as a team, they could effectively assist the appointments and the walk–ins in a reasonable amount of time. Their teamwork was clearly helpful since the line moved efficiently and was never awfully long. The communication of the administers and other volunteers, including myself, was a third key factor in the tour's process. Our communication included the freshman nursing students leading the patients in, the second set of volunteers greeting them at the desk, the third set of volunteers administering the shots, and the fourth set of volunteers handed out stickers, suckers, and lead the patients out after the shots. This cycle of communication was highly effective in the speed and safety of administering the flu shots. The teamwork and communication efforts involved lead to an efficient ... • 17. Essay On Constructing A Tour After viewing the presentation by Martin Atkins, I've taken away many aspects and topics that would potentially be of use when constructing a tour. Some of my favorite topics presented include the importance of finding your fans before the touring process and knowing where to play in order to be successful. Atkins even agrees, in some cases, with the idea that it might be in your best interest to play a lot of shows consistently in a selected city/area where you have already established a following before moving cities and having those shows turn out to be a bust. He points out the importance of creating a community with your fans and I especially like the idea that a band must find interest in all their fans and followers before they can ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Some other insightful ideas presented in the workshop include the flower petal theory and the idea of creating an alliance with other bands who are starting out and who you share the stage with each show. The flower petal theory explains that once you find a city that is working for your band, find a nearby city with growing interest in your band and establish your presence there. Once that location is established, branch out again and repeat the process. Eventually you will have multiple petals of cities that connect and that you can keep coming back to and finding success creating a flower–like shape on a map. As your band becomes bigger and more successful, the flower will grow, spreading out over a larger portion of the map. I find this theory to be both efficient and sensitive to your budget because you are somewhat restrained to a certain portion on the map and you will not waste resources and money traveling to a place that won't work out, and you will consistently bring in a following each night at your shows. While the idea of creating an alliance with other bands you share the stage with might seem like common sense, the outcome it can have on your band often gets undervalued and underappreciated. If you do something as simple as exchange thoughts or comment with each other on social media, each band's following is networking with one another and you soon form a bond with the other band's fans, which will in turn expand your fan base without much work being ... Armstrong won Tour de France for seven consecutive years. First winning the competition in 1999 and ending his streak in 2005. Armstrong became a major sports figure for not only winning Tour de France, but also winning his fight against cancer. He seemed like the ideal athlete, humble, caring, and compassionate. Armstrong also founded his own organization for the battle against cancer, currently known as LiveStrong. Armstrong had everything going for him that is until he was involved in a major scandal. In 2013 Armstrong admitted to using blood doping and other illegal banned drugs to help him win Tour de France throughout the years. The media went bizarre on hearing the news, and everything went downhill for him. Armstrong was erased from the history books for having the longest consecutive winning streak in Tour de France. All his winner's medals and achievements where stripped from him. Armstrong went from being the number one cyclist in the world, to the most hated and unrespected cyclist. The only negative is the lack of tour information. By viewing the site, it comes apparent that the band want to portray an image that says "we are old, we are modern, and we know what we are doing". They show a rugged edge with their lack of color use on the site, but this adds to the feel of what music they play. With the image that the band wants to put out there, comes the fans that the band wants to attract. It appears that the band is not trying to put themselves out there any more, as they are quite old. So I believe that they are not actively trying to bring in new fans. But they know that they will be heard by new people, and so they share their music for free on their own site. I do not know how often the site is updated, so this could have been a different story a couple years ago. But in 2014, when the site was last updated, the site is aimed towards those who have already heard their music. They do not shove any information right in your face on the home page, rather they leave the home page blank to show an image of the fun they had on stage. Punk is a genre that was typically aimed towards the angry middle–class white male. But today there is a wider acceptance towards women in the punk scene. • 25. Cannibal Tours Cannibal Tours In "Cannibalizing, Commodifying , or Creating Culture? Power and Art in Sepik River Tourism," Silverman makes several critiques of O'Rourke's Cannibal Tours. Silverman argues that O'Rourke constructed a limited view of the New Guinea tribes. Silverman attributes the eroding 'authenticity' to the tourists' pursuit for entertainment in exchange for money. For instance, O'Rourke's interviews mostly covered reactions from tourists and how they gawked over the natives, arrogantly depicting their primitive lives. Silverman argues that the film "portrays tourism as a process that only disempowers local people and erodes from their lives all genuine, meaningful dimensions of their culture"(Silverman 1996). However O'Rourke differs from the tourists because he is on their land with a goal in mind of creating a film. After submitting my news interview subject, I called the City of Milledgeville: Convention and Visit Bureau to set up an interview with Sandra Jones. She is the volunteer tour guide. Also, I wanted the questions to be in an hourglass sequence. I usually choose an inverted tunnel sequence, so I tried something new. Sadly, this did not work in my favor as I intended. Any closed ended questions that I planned to ask, Ms. Jones would answer them when answering an open ended question. From time to time, it was not easy trying to read my interviewee. For several days, both armies watched each other before Abd er Rahman had his army charge the Franks, who were in a tightly packed defensive formation. The Franks were primarily an infantry force complete with heavy armor. They were prepared for the cold weather and they had the advantage of being familiar with the terrain. In contrast, the Islamic army consisted mainly of cavalry and was geared for offensive warfare. They wore little armor, and they relied on their swords and lances. The scandal started on July 8 when Festina's team masseur, Willy Voet crossed the French–Belgian border and was checked by French customs authorities. Driving an official car, issued by the Societe du Tour de France, nobody would have thought that he could be stopped. Voet was carrying plenty of banned substances in his car, which immediately resulted in Voet's arrest. • 53. Doping and The Tour de France: Lance Armstrong Doping has been present in the Tour de France cycling races since 1903. Doping is when a drug is taken by an athlete to improve his or her performance. In the beginning, Tour cyclists would ingest alcohol, ether, and other addicting substances, to dull the pain in endurance cycling competitions. Later on, riders began using substances and drugs to improve their performance and endurance, rather than diminishing the pain. Soon the government and other people began to notice these practices, so they formed organizations such as the Tour and the International Cycling Union to battle them. From around 1903 to the 1940s doping was considered acceptable, but in the 1950s and 1960s people started to take an anti–doping approach. The first doctor as an advocate for the testing and decrease of doping was Pierre Dumas. He held this movement for cycling, as well as something so international, the Olympic Games. Eventually, testing riders in the cycling road races were being carried out, and several athletes were found positive for performance enhancing drugs and were suspended or disqualified from their races. The consequences and effects of doping can be noticeable, harmful, and very devastating. These performance enhancing drugs can lead to severe health conditions or problems, and even death. • 60. A Tour of the Human Body Welcome to our Fantastic Voyage! On this journey, we will explore how nutrients are consumed and passed through the human body before they are finally expelled. This journey will take us through the digestive, circulatory, and digestive systems. Our journey will begin after we enter our male test subject's system by inconspicuously entering the digestive system as part of his delicious, all–American meal consisting of a juicy hamburger, crispy french fries, and an ice–cold root beer. Our tour will begin as we enter the body through the mouth. As we are thrown about the oral cavity, please note how mastication allows our delicious meal to be broken down by saliva and the simultaneous grinding of the food by the test subject's teeth. It is important to note the different types of teeth that we see. As we move from the center of the mouth towards the back you will notice that there are two sets of incisors, a set of canines, and a set of premolars, which are followed by first and second molars (Thibodeau, 1992). The clear substance that is secreted all around us during this process is called salivary amylase. This mucosal fluid will allow us to travel smoothly to the esophagus and into the stomach. Right underneath us, at the bottom of the mouth is the tongue and right above us are the hard and soft palates (Gregory, n.d.). Quickly look at the tear–shaped tissue hanging from the soft palate before we are violently thrown into the pharynx and down into the esophagus. That is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 62. Tour To Cortez We stayed in the small town of Cortez, CO. It was a nice quite town with good 4th of July fireworks. We ate at Destination Grill. It's next to the Holiday Inn. The food was really good and it wasn't crowed. If you go take some time look at the pictures that they have hanging up around the restaurant. Cortez is about a 20 minute drive from the entrance to Mesa Verde National Park. We had a 9:00 a.m. tour that left from Far View Lodge. We read that we needed to arrive really early because traffic in the park was bad. The lodge was about 30 minutes inside the park. There was no traffic that early in the morning, so we got there early. We had time to look around the gift shop and look out at the Far View the lodge is named after. If you have a tour this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I highly recommend this tour because we got a lot more information on the park than we would've gotten if would have driven around the park ourselves. With the 700 years tour we got to take a bus around the park with a very knowledgeable guide. We got to stop a different kevias and learned how they were built. We also got to go down into Cliff Palace. This is a ranger led program. Our guide was from Tennessee, but he knew so much information about Mesa Verde and Cliff Palace. I recommend touring Cliff Palace and the rest of Mesa Verde during the morning if you're visiting during the summer. We toured Cliff Palace at 10:30 and it was complete shade. Cliff Palace is not a hike that you need to take if you have heart, hip, knee, or shoulder problems. This hike requires climbing down steep stairs and climbing ladders. There is one short ladder before you get to Cliff Palace, and then there is a very long ladder when you leave Cliff Palace. Bring water when you come to Mesa Verde, even in the morning. Also be mindful of altitude changes. Cliff Palace is located at a 7,000 foot attitude. My house in Tennessee is located at 440 feet. So it's easy to get winded even if you're not really doing that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 64. Warped Tour Narrative Sweat ran down my body as I waited in line in 90 degree heat. A drawstring bag full of necessities was slung on my back, my ticket in my hand, and my sunglasses on my face. I prepared for this moment, for this exact moment, weeks in advance. In half an hour, the line would lurch forward as two thousand other festival goers and I poured into the venue. We all gathered for Vans Warped Tour 2016. This was my first Warped Tour and I decided long before I arrived it was going to be the highlight of my summer. Warped Tour is a traveling rock festival that's been touring all over the United States since 1995. In 1996, the skater shoe brand Vans became the main sponsor of the festival. From then on, Warped Tour became Vans Warped Tour. Although originally Warped Tour was conceived as an alternative rock festival, the festival later began focusing on punk rock music. The 2016 Warped Tour added even more musical ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This gave me one less thing to worry about, and more time to figure out my transportation to the venue as I was amidst my transportation research, I came to a revelation. Parking at this particular event, I decided, was too expensive for my taste. Furthermore, what better way to assert your independence as a seventeen year old girl than to immerse yourself fully in a city you've never been to alone before? For $6, I could take the St. Louis Metro Bus to and from my destination in Maryland Heights, making it far cheaper than parking which ranged from $10–$20. The only problem was I had never rode a metro bus, or even a regular bus, by myself. Conveniently enough, the St. Louis Metro website generously provided me with a trip planner. The trip planner showed you how to get from point A to point B at any time on any date using the metro bus. You simply entered the address, intersection, stop number, or even a landmark for either points and an easy to read itinerary would be planned for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 66. Boston Tour History The sketches and the scribbles from his Grand tour of Europe (1785–87) had become the blueprints of the to–be designed City of Boston. They significantly influenced Bulfinch in shaping and creating a tone to the city. Through the windows of his tour he experienced the vastness in planning principles which had set the extents of the elaborately designed Queen's Bath. From Adam's stucco–rococo interiors to massive–scaled town planning institutions, elaborate leaf capital order of Greek columns of the terraces to the mixed–use residential institutions; the tour offered the gentlemen with the skills that later would define the architecture of Boston. The Boston directory for 1789 shows an open expanse, unplanned sans streets in this area. Bulfinch in the company of two other gentlemen, Charles Vaughan, his wife's brother–in–law and the merchant William Scollay bought and developed a vacant parcel of land. The site of the Crescent was the garden of Joseph Barrell's South end estate, which became vacant after Mr. Barrell moved to a newly built mansion designed by Bulfinch. The plans of Tontine Crescent reflect the conceptualization of giving a character of one large imposing building that is intended to introduce grace and grandeur into the street by following Bulfinch's curvilinear plan. The form was suggested by Queen's square in Bath, constructed more than half a century earlier by the senior John Wood. I have never seen either of the two preform live in concert only on shows like the Country Music awards until this date. Having been a fan of country music and growing up in a family who has always been fans of this genera of music, I have listened to them both since and have been a huge fan of them each since. I wanted to see them live not only being a fan of the two artists separately, but also this is the first time they have toured together in quite a while, if not the first, so it would not only be a once in a lifetime event but also a chance to see two of my favorite artists ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It seemed at the start of the show they sang songs that where at the start of their music careers and progressed through their career. They sang each song as a duet no matter if it was a Tim or Faith song. My favorite song of the night was Tim's "Stay Humble and Kind" and Faith's "I need you", which was an encore song. During the encore everyone thought that the show was over, but Tim came out into the Stadium seat and Faith walked through the floor seats and they sang. The special effects added even more to the experience. I would go back and see the same exact show if I had the chance. The crowd was a very respectful crowd. For me it did not seem to be the stereotypical crowd that you would imagine at a summer concert that this was. People where up and singing and dancing to the music and where having an overall good time listening to the music. The crowd ranged from little kids to adults, but everyone was almost in unison with the music, it's a weird thing to experience. From where my family where sitting we did not see that much alcohol being drank and even less intoxicated people. With this you could really enjoy the show without having to deal with annoying drunk fans. If you accidently bump into someone they where respectful and apologized. You could talk to your family and Tim and Faith would encourage you to sing along to the music by stopping mid song and you would sing without them. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 74. Gregory Of Tours Summary Without the religious influence of the noble women during the 6th century, Christianity would not have spread so quickly throughout the Germanic world. Their independent lifestyle allowed for the ability to influence noble men and subjects towards Christianity while overseeing the construction of religious buildings. Gregory of Tours writes a descriptive narrative of the lives of nobility in his book History of the Franks. Any women mentioned in this narrative were of noble status. Merovingians, the leaders where Gregory of Tours resided often attributed their powers to the aristocrats. Gregory himself was a Bishop and therefore from a higher class as well. Since he was a Bishop it comes to no surprise that he took interest in the religious matters and practices during King Clovis' time. It should be noted that although Gregory of Tours resided in the same century as King Clovis, he was alive after the time of King Clovis and most other subjects listed in his History of the Franks. He focused mostly on the rise of early Christianity in Gaul as well as Clermont–Ferrand (later was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Without being married to Clotild, the Christian God wouldn't of popped into his mind to pray for. Clovis then invited the Bishop to talk to King Clovis in hopes to persuade him to convert. The Queen invited him over in secret, again showing the spectrum of her independence. After talking to the Bishop, King Clovis then converts himself, his subjects, and the lands he then conquers. It could be said without Clotild's devotion, Clovis' success in conquering and spreading Christianity would not have happened. Part of the reason Gregory of Tours admires King Clovis so much is because of his ability to spread Christianity throughout the Frankish tribes. When in reality, the Frankish wouldn't be Christian without the efforts of Clotild and other independent noble women and their endeavors to spread ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 76. Night Time Tour The beach umbrella, the towels, the chairs, and then the cooler. In the backseat, I watched as my family finished packing the van with the assortment of items we had brought with us to the beach. The van was the family tank, a roaring piece of machinery that somehow seemed to make the passenger feel secure even with the alarming grumbling of the engine. The back of the van was filled and now, on this late summer day, we were taking our leave from the shore. I looked back once more at the sea where the sunset splattered colors of red and orange on the rough surface of blue and violet. Although the boardwalk was lively with smells of French fries and the cries of seagulls, I nuzzled into the car seat and waited for the Night Time Tour to begin. I absolutely loved long car rides; it was the perfect excuse to let idle thoughts roam and to isolate myself from the world. I only observed the outside through the window of the family van, my personal theater. The images that flashed hastily before the window was like a film strip; only revealing the pictures of the scenes for only a moment. This car ride was especially exquisite, for the hours it took to reach our destination allowed my imagination to mingle with the fleeting world which were only separated by a window. The sun dimmed to a warm orange and the first act of the Night Time Tour began. My family had just driven out of the gradually bustling city and was on the highway. The first time he had ever been asked to do such a thing. This certainly made him happy, and he would reach back and pull out music that he studied at Eastman. Also, he pulled from the music his mother would sing as a child in church. When returning back to America, he then realised how demanding the schedule.
