To encourage collaborative work.
OBJECTIVES
To express likes and dislikes.
To interview three students about food they like.
To present some new types of food.
To present the meals of the day.
To practise listening comprehension skills.
ACTIVITIES
ACTIVITY

TYPE OF
INTERACTION
Activity 1: Students will Pair work
receive photocopies with a
survey which they have to
carry
out
among
themselves, about food
they like or dislike. Each
student will also receive
three pieces of paper with
types of food written on
them. They have to ask
three other students if they
like the food or not, and
they have to write what
their peers answer them.
Activity 2:Presentation of Individual
new vocabulary
First, some new flashcards
with food will be presented
(cake, sandwich, hot dog).
Activity 3: Listening
A)Then, the students will
receive an activity in which
they will have to listen to
names of food. They have
to number the food in the
order in which they are
named and also to match
the word with the drawing.
After that, they will have to
listen to a short exchange
about a picnic and choose
among two options.
B)Then, they have to circle
the
correct
option.

73, exercises 2 & 3 a and b)

Whole Class
The meals of the day
(breakfast, lunch, dinner,
snack) will be presented.
Then the students will have
to stick the flashcards with
food on the blackboard
according to the meal in
which the students eat
them. If they have never
eaten some of the food,
they will have to say what
meal they think it could be
appropriate for.
Extra activity 1: Crossword Individual
The students will look at
the pictures and then they
will write the words in the
crossword.
