"You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you." –
John Bunyan. Last summer, I had the pleasure of doing just that. Baton Rogue in Louisiana was city
devastated by flooding but united by service. Our church wished to help, and as luck would have it
the St. Bernard Project organization would sponsor a volunteer group down to Baton Rogue to help
rebuild houses. I wished to be a part of the group, and I was permitted after our youth director
agreed to include the 9th graders as well. I was very excited and was ready to go. My sister, Hailey,
would be going with me sorta like my guide. Little did I know that this trip would change my view
of what it means to be an American and my ideas on volunteering forever. Our bus was loaded in the
parking lot of the church, and after saying goodbye to our parents, I hopped on and settled down for
a long ride. Twenty–five hours is a very long time to be on a bus granted we stopped for meals along
the way. When we finally pulled into the hotel in Baton Rogue, I wanted nothing more than to just
get to our room and head to sleep. The real fun would begin the next day when we would finally get
to work. I was not really sure what to expect the next morning. I knew I was going to work, but I
didn't think of who I was working for and how much it would mean to them. Rest assured, I would

Something that I found interesting about this war is that, the treaties were made before the war, not

A new teaser of sorts for Rogue One dropped and it's the sort of behind–the–scenes sizzle reel that I
go nuts for. You've got folks on sets, folks in costumes, folks with prop guns; all that good stuff. 'cuz

"Rogue Trader", a film based on the life on Nick Leeson, we get a glimpse into this real world
dilemma. The drama begins with Leeson's promotion to general manager of Barings Futures
Singapore. As general manager, he faces a personal quandary and must decide whether to cover for
a friend and coworker who made an honest mistake (one that resulted in the loss of a substantial
amount of money) or to turn the same person in to face termination. Leeson chooses loyalty to his

5. How did the case come to the attention of the media?
The case came to the attention of the media when Barings bank executives discovered Leeson's
trading activity and informed the Bank of England that they would not be able to meet SIMEX's
margin call, therefore declaring them bankrupt. Leeson had fled Singapore to Malaysia with his wife
in an attempt to make it to London. They where arrested in Frankfurt.
6. What was the outcome of the case?
Barings Bank collapsed because it was unable to meet SIMEX's margin call. The bank of England
was unable to save it due to the weariness of investors, they believed it was a black box and there
wasn't enough time to account for all the losses. On March 3rd, 1995 it was bought by ING for £1
and took on all of its liabilities. Nick leeson and his wife where arrested the same day in Frankfurt,
Germany trying to arrive to England to avoid extradition to Singapore. He went on trial in
Singapore and was found guilty of fraud; he was sentenced to serve six and a half years. While in
prison he contracted cancer, survived and wrote and autobiographical book called "Rogue Trader".

The situation could have been avoided if Barings would have had the appropriate checks and

The primary source that is being analyzed in this paper is a trailer for the upcoming Star Wars film,
Rogue One. It was released in early April by Lucasfilm and Disney. While the actual movie doesn't
drop until December 16, the trailers people have seen so far display quite a lot about the theme,
attitude and how dark the upcoming film will be. These few pages of rhetorical analysis will mainly

Bold actions come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and can be present in any situation at hand. Any
action that demands to step outside one's comfort zone and a courageous mindset will deem it a bold
action. These brave deeds are indisputably worth all risks. Not only will such an action possibly
grant rewards, it enforces a sense of accomplishment and self–worth. Along with these beneficial
advantages, risky, bold actions may also yield whatever one deeply desire: fame, money, wisdom, et

London to Jakarta to Singapore, to become the head of the "derivatives" trading in the up–and–
coming Singapore stock market. Leeson had proven to be an effective and efficient worker when he
was tasked to get bear bonds sorted on his first solo tasking with Barings Bank in Jakarta. That
successful completion got him put in the Singapore position because they needed someone there,
and he seemed to have the potential to make Barings a considerable profit.

bad guy. While Jeremy Renner plays William Brandt with nonchalance to the point he almost seems

to explore and defeat 4 unique bosses each in their own environment to unlock what is behind the
golden gate. In a procedurally generated world, the player chooses a champion and challenges the
"Castle" with the default ability to jump and slash with their sword, along with secondary abilities,
such as magic attacks (which use MP). Within the castle, players will encounter many risky
obstacles but will always find a reward hiding not too far away. If the champion dies as a result of
losing health points (HP) an heir will take their place. Upon choosing an heir you are given 3
randomly generated characters to choose from, no two heirs are exactly alike, often having some
