The Impact of Pseudoscience on Consumers Pseudoscience is known by many as false science.
Many consumers are convinced by companies that sells these products provide instant cures that
lead to a healthier lifestyle. These products are scientific theories that have little evidence to back up
their scientific claims. The Internet, health food stores, magazines, and commercials are just a few
ways that companies can target potential consumers to sell their products. Medical information
searched by consumers via the Internet has become the largest source of information worldwide.
Consumers search the Internet for weight loss strategies, treatments for autism, anti–aging creams,
male enhancement, and prevention of cancer and heart ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While health foods stores attract consumers to purchase health supplements, many manufacturers
use health food stores to promote their bogus products. In March 1999, the FTC filed a complaint in
federal court against the makers of Vitamin O. The company ran false ads claiming the Vitamin O
supplement prevents cancer, heart, and lung disease by adding an extra oxygen supplement to the
bloodstream. With no scientific evidence to prove the benefits of Vitamin O, the two companies
from Washington agreed to a settlement of $375,000 for consumer compensation. The settlement
prohibited the Vitamin O manufacturers from making claims that were unsupported about the
Vitamin O health benefits. Testimonials and endorsements of product represented through previous
experience from members of the public who used the product were also prohibited in the settlement.
In conclusion, marketing agents with false science beliefs have one common goal: To sell! We as
consumers must be aware and informed of unknown supplements that claims to have a great deal of
impact to your life. These products are known for its testimonials by doctors and actors that make
claims of using the product. Pseudoscience supplements have caused serious illnesses and even
death due to consumers lack of knowledge when purchasing these products. It is strongly
recommended that consumers research the companies and the product that advertise false products
very carefully before purchasing a supplement that claims to

Earth Space Science Assignment
Part I Evaluate Experiments
Choosing: Scenario 1
Christopher and Kate noticed that after a rainstorm some of the rocks in their yard appear to shrink.
They wondered how the mass of the rocks changed when dissolved in water. To determine this, Kate
purchased a variety of rocks from a local shop, carefully recording the types of rocks in a data chart.
Christopher gathered rocks from the backyard to add to the rocks Kate purchased. They measured
each rock 's initial mass; then they inserted the rocks one by one into 100 milliliters of water and
measured the mass of each rock after it had sat in the water for five minutes. Both Christopher and
Kate concluded that store–bought rocks do not ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After I will record the type (name) of each rock since not all rocks will dissolve as much as the other
rocks. Then I would record the starting mass of each rock and place the rocks in water for 5 minutes.
After the rock is taken out after the 5 minutes I will record the ending mass of the rock to see if it's
mass changed. The controlled variables in this experiment would be the rocks I'm using since I can't
change the type of rocks I'm using.
Part II Designing an Experiment
Choosing: Problem 1
Your family has planted a garden. You observe that some of the plants in the garden have teeth
marks in them. What is eating the plants?
Purpose: My family has planted a garden, observing some of the plants in the garden, we realize
they have teeth marks in them. What is eating the plants?
Observation: Me and my family observe where the teeth marks are, what type of plants have teeth
marks and the size of the teeth marks.
Research: In the step, we can take a look at how big the bite size marks were and determine which
type of animals it could be. Also, depending on which plants were taken bites out of, we can
research what type of animal eats what type of plants, then seeing how big or small the bite marks
are, we can have a realistic understanding of what type of animal was biting the plants.
Hypothesis: I believe a small animal like a bunny might be taken nibbles from my plants since we
grow carrots but there may also be a few other animals going to the garden since

5. Tuscarora Vs Morrison Formation Essay
Both the Tuscarora and Morrison formations have similarities. At the same time, they both are
composed of unique materials that is what set them apart and thus the reason I say they have
differences. Obvious differences will include that the Tuscarora is known as an eastern sandstone,
while the Morrison is a western sandstone. More obscured differences can be like what ages they are
in. The Tuscarora formation is in the Silurian age, located in Pennsylvania, mostly composed of
quartzite, and is secondarily composed of sandstone. Its thickness is 150–200 feet and is in the lower
part of the Silurian age. The Tuscarora formation is in the Clinton group. One member would be
Castanea located at the top of the Tuscarora Formation. The depositional environment is, as we
know it, a continental shelf of some sort of marine zone because of sediment structures like fossils
and cross–bedding. The Tuscarora formation is mainly non–porous and neither ... Show more

The age is somewhere between Kimmeridgian, Tithonian, and maybe Oxfordian. The group of the
Morrison formation is the Kootenay group and members are the Tidwell, Brushy Basin, and Salt
Wash. The Morrison formation is about 750 feet thick. Most of the sediments were left near some
sort of marine geographical region. The Morrison formation generally has high porosity and
permeability due to bigger gaps in the sandstone and mudstone. The Morrison formation also
includes lots of fossils. Generally speaking, both the Morrison formation and Tuscarora formation
are similar because of where they are deposited and they both have fossils in them which is valuable
for paleontologists. Huge differences would be whether one was made of porous and permeable
material and the other was not which makes an even bigger difference in how long that formation
will stay that same shape it was a while back to

7. Laurel Hill Duke Forest Report
Laurel Hill in Duke Forest Report At Laurel Hill Duke Forest there is a large granodiorite cliff
adjacent to a river on one side. This cliff is not smooth and has several parallel fractures instead of
one steep slope. Observations of this cliff were taken in order to gather data and find possible
explanations for why this cliff is where it is located and why the river adjacent to it follows a V–
shaped path. One observation was that the range of the strikes and dips of the fractures facing river
were all near parallel ranging from strike of 170–190 degrees and dips ranging from 70–90 degrees.
There were other fractures oriented differently on other sides of the outcrop. Also, the surface of the
outcrop was highly weathered in some parts where the rock type was not distinguishable without
using a rock hammer and had moss growing over it.
On the first side of the outcrop the rock when examined was greenish and had small black grains
indicative of diorite with hornblende giving the green color. The rock was similar to the outcrop
encountered at Hollow rock which also had several fractures parallel although not as many, and that
outcrop was also highly weathered. On the other side of the outcrop, the rock was incredibly
different. This side was not weathered beyond recognition but ... Show more content on

Further, a primary cause of cliff formation is erosion and weathering. Erosion and weathering
provides a plausible explanation for the location and structure of this cliff since erosion and
weathering caused by rain and wind is a common cause of cliff formation, and the observations
recorded are consistent as evidence of erosion and weathering taking place. North Carolina has a
rainy climate, so rain could definitely be a factor in weathering. The rain and wind washes away and
erodes softer rocks separating them from harder rocks forming a sharp crack after the fracture
occurs and the rocks

9. Speech On Deodorant
Why Should You Use Natural Deodorants?
Not all deodorants are helpful, others pose harm to the health because of the chemicals it contain. It
is highly important to consider the ingredients before using a deodorant by making sure it is safe and
effective.
Everyday we slather different body products and deodorant is one of them. One must be extra
careful with the product used for the under arms because this area have many lymph nodes which lie
close to the surface of the skin. Deodorants sold in the market are effective in blocking sweat and
killing the bacteria but many of these brands are loaded with questionable ingredients. Beauty
requires sacrifices but health should not be one of them. Go for a safe alternative and preferably

A Crystal deodorant is making a name in the market nowadays as a safer alternative than deodorants
which can be bought from the supermarket. It is made entirely from mineral salt and can even come
in many different forms like a spray, powder, stick and stone. Potassium alum is the mineral crystal
of choice in a crystal deodorant since potassium alum is soluble in water.
When applied to the skin, a crystal deodorant leaves no mark, is non–sticky and doesn't have an oily
residue on the skin. It is proven to be effective, can provide 24 hour protection, is fragrance free,
hypoallergenic and safe for the environment. Now you too can have that fresh smell all day long
without using antiperspirants that claim they can last for 24 – 48 hours but contain harsh chemical
ingredients with others claiming they are more effective through movement of the body. I don't
know about you , but to me– if something can do this it HAS to contain a heap of super strong
chemicals that can't be good for our health?
The downside of crystal mineral deodorant happened when manufacturers found out that a synthetic
potassium alum can be made without having to endure the agonising process of mineral extraction. a
synthetic mineral is common in mainstream crystal deodorant and is closely related to ammonium

After looking at my reports on the Diet Analysis program, I determined that my intake of potassium
was not optimal, it was in fact very, very low. Per the Intake vs Goals report, I averaged about 27%
(1262.15 mg/4700 mg) of the recommended amount (4700 mg) of potassium across the three days I
recorded my diet. When looking further in depth at the spreadsheets, my potassium intake was
calculated as the following: 2122.35 mg on day one, 1497.85 mg on day 2, and 166.24 mg on day 3.
Clearly, I am not meeting the necessary amounts I need to be taking in; when averaging the three
values I am not even half way . My current intake (or lack thereof) of this nutrient could be
detrimental to my health in several ways. If I continue to fail to meet the requirements, I may

15. Essay On Broodmares
Supplementing Your Broodmare and Foal
When thinking about the nutrition of broodmares and foals, most people understand the importance
of the macro minerals calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium, which is needed for the rapid bone
growth in the fetus in late gestation and once the foal is born. However, breeders sometimes don't
realize that certain trace minerals and vitamins during gestation and nursing are extremely important
in the growth, development, and health of foals. For this reason it is very important that they
supplement their broodmares with a great supplement, like Horse Guard. Without a proper trace
mineral and vitamin supplementation her foal could have multiple issues that could have easily been
avoided. Copper, zinc, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The effects of zinc deficiency on bone and cartilage formation in foals causes reduced growth rates.
In addition, both zinc deficiency and toxicity, has been associated with lesions on the lower
extremities related to developmental orthopedic disease. This helps to further drive home the
importance of feeding a properly balanced vitamin–mineral supplement, like Horse Guard.
Manganese
Manganese has many important functions in the body including metabolism, and serving as an
antioxidant. In broodmares a manganese deficiency can cause re–absorption of an embryo, making
it hard to get the mare bred. Manganese aids in the metabolism of carbohydrates and fats, and serves
as an antioxidant in the body. It also aids in cartilage formation, with research suggesting that
Manganese deficiency is linked to limb abnormalities in foals. Supplementing with a product that
contains Manganese during a mare's pregnancy will help ensure the foal is able to has strong bones
and healthy cartilage during a period that they are growing rapidly.
Iron
The transport of oxygen throughout blood and into muscles is reliant on Iron. Iron makes up
hemoglobin, the transport molecule for oxygen in the blood. It also makes up myoglobin which aids
in the muscles receiving oxygen. Inadequate levels of iron results in anemia. Foals are more
susceptible to iron deficiency than all other classes of horses. In order for foals to

Sedimentary rocks
Sedimentary rocks are classified by the source of their sediments, and are produced by one or more
processes that follow:
Sedimentary rocks
Clastic sedimentary rocks are composed of fragments of older rocks that have been deposited and
consolidated boulders greater than 25.6 cm cobbles 6.4 to 25.6 cm pebbles 2 mm to 6.4 cm sand
1/16 mm to 2 mm silt 1/256 mm to 1/16 mm clay less than 1/256 mm
Sedimentary rocks
Chemical sedimentary rocks form when minerals precipitate from a solution, usually sea water.
Halite and gypsum are examples of minerals that precipitate from aqueous solutions to form
chemical sedimentary rocks.
Biochemical sedimentary rocks are composed of accumulations of organic debris. Coal and some
limestones are examples of biological sedimentary rocks.

22. Faulty Hill Formation Research Paper
At the intersection of Neva Road and U.S. 36 we examined three different members, the Smoky
Hill, Fort Hayes, and Codell, which belong to two different formations, Niobrara and Benton. The
Smoky Hill and Fort Hayes belong to the Niobrara formation while Codell belongs to the Benton
Formation. In the Niobrara's Smoky Hill and Benton, Inoceramid clam (giant clam) fossils were
found. These three formations are of Late Cretaceous.
The Smoky Hill Member is mainly a calcareous mudstone, a rock outcrop that looks and behaves
mostly like mudstone, but does have some characteristics of a limestone, like fizzing. The Smoky
Hill is the youngest of the members. It is fine grained, dark to light gray, mudstone which breaks in
rectangular like shapes. Mudstones are deposited in low energy environments, like ocean floor,
deltas, or lakes.
The Fort Hayes is in the middle of the two formations, and it is mainly made up of ... Show more

This sandstone is a dark–ish gray–brown, medium to fine grained sandstone. This sandstone was the
most hidden of all all the members, making it seem more easily erodible. Sandstones are usually
deposited at a higher energy because as the energy level lowers the force can not longer hold the
heavier particle. So, not only is the Codell member the oldest, but it had the most energy. Sandstone
can be deposited at the beach, the shore of a lake, deltas or deserts.
The Inoceramid clams found in the Niobrara formations leads to the assumption that the mudstone
and limestone were deposited at the sea floor. Clams today are mostly found in the deep burrows of
mud, and with the principle of uniformitarianism you can deduce that those clams were also most
likely living on the sea floor. The clams living at the sea floor would be supported by the fact that
the clam fossils were found in mudstone and limestone because mudstone is usually in lower energy
environments like the sea

24. The Usage Of Dietary Supplements
The usage of dietary supplements is very common in United States. Nutrition plays a big role in
maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Not everyone gets the all the essential nutrition so they make it up by
purchasing and consuming dietary supplements. Some of the substances include vitamins, minerals,
enzymes, and amino acids. They come in several oral forms such as tablets, capsules, or powders.
These dietary supplements have been around for a long time but only recently over the past twenty
years have they increased tremendously in sales in the United States. And specifically in 2006, the
world wide market has been estimated at more than US $60 billion (Geyer et al, 2008). This
expansion of supplements flourished later in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But regardless, it became more marketable ever since 1994 when FDA lost most of their power over
regulations on the production of dietary supplements. The Dietary Supplement Health and Education
Act (DSHEA) of 1994 changed significantly how vitamins, herbs and other supplements are
regulated (Ashar et al, 2007). The government realized how important dietary supplements in the
economy was by being commodities used by half the population, which was spending annually
about 4 billion on 4000 products sold by 600 manufacturers (Swann, 2015). The sales for
supplements have skyrocketed and now manufacturers are able to claim they have ingredients in
their products when in reality they do not because of the lack of supervision from the FDA.
Companies should be conducting experiments and doing research to properly market their products
but most of the time they do not and still put their products out. Consumers should be able to have
the freedom to buy their choice of supplements but these products should be regulated to assure
buyers that they are purchasing good quality and safe products.
Aside from trying to buy quality products, regulations of dietary supplements are still quite
unknown to the public so they rely on their healthcare providers for more information. Because
physicians are people who promote health, they should have a basic

Everyone Needs Health Supplements
Some people may say, "why bother with health supplements?" Some people today would like to
believe that all we have to do to keep ourselves healthy is to eat a proper diet. That's where the
problem lies. The question I propose is, "What is a proper diet, and how do you go about getting it
into your system?" Some would say, "Well by eating healthy food." There's another problem. What
is healthy food and where do you find it? You won't find it at your local grocery store as you will
soon find out. Others might say, "We have a garden where we grow our food." That's a start, and it
also tells me that you are already aware of the fact that there is a need for a more nutritional ... Show

I know this not just from reading about this issue, or listening about people talk about this issue but
from my own experience. I know what it is like to feel emotionally and physically tired, although I
was eating what some consider a well–balanced diet. I was eating all the right foods. However, I
found out that I was not able to get all of the nutrients, vitamins, and minerals that an individual
needs to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Why is that? I would have to consume large amounts of food to
meet the nutritional requirements of my body. Why do I say this? Let me tell you why.
First of all, there is the issue of the nutritional value in the food we eat, or should I say the lack of
nutritional value in the food we eat. There is much evidence available today that clearly states that
the food sources we have are highly deficient in nutritional value.
For a long time the scientific community made light of health supplements. This is no longer true.
The American Medical Association and also the Federal Drug Administration are now singing a
different tune. In fact they are praising the value of health supplements. There is now a new field of
nutritional science specifically for the study of vitamin and mineral supplements.
As I said earlier, one of the most common reasons given for not needing food supplements is, "I eat

35. Comparing The Statue Of Gudea
Our world is full of so many grandiose monuments, eye–catching sculptures, and stunning statues,
each having an individual story to tell. Thousands of them have been created however, only a small
number of them are actually extraordinary and picture–worthy. This paper will compare and contrast
two of those picture–worthy sculptures. Furthermore, I will examine the aspects of each of these
sculptures. I will compare and contrast what each of them represents, the differences in texture, their
size and their tone. Representation The two sculptures presented for this assignment are the Statue
of Gudea, which dates back to 2090 B.C. ("Statue of Gudea," 2000) and The Royal Acquaintances
Memi and Sabu, which dates back to 2575–2465 B.C. ("The Royal Acquaintances Memi and Sabu,"
2000). Both statues represent people; however, they depict different types of people from
completely different time periods and cultural backgrounds. The Statue of Gudea shows the ruler of
southern Mesopotamian, Gudea, whose reign was from 2144–2124 B.C. ("The votive statue of
Gudea: A formal analysis," 2011) sitting in a praying position with his hands locked and his eyes
forward. He is dressed in what appears to be a lavish robe with an inscription that clearly depicts
what Gudea thought of himself and his successes during his time as ruler. The Royal Acquaintances

lateritization process leads to the migration of uranium, but the produced laterites of either grey (Al)
or brown (Fe) soils are good adsorbents for uranium and other heavy metals. The karstification
process leads to the formation of caves which are filled by either allochtonous or autochtonous soils.
These karst soils host uranium and rare earth elements (El Aassy et al., 2006).
(2) Middle Marly Dolostone–Siltstone Member is also karstified and lateritized and consists of marl
with siltstone and gibbsite–bearing siltstone (Fig. 5a). Its thickness is 6–9 m and it is moderately
radioactive.
(3) Upper Dolostone Member unconformably overlies the karstified and lateritized middle member
and consists of bedded dolostone with thin shale interbeds (Fig. 5b).
The dolostone beds are present as step–like forms and in some parts are not deposited and laterally
vary to grey claystone. The dark grey claystone as noticed in the
Allouga, Abu Zarab and Abu Hamata localities is enriched in elemental sulphur as an oxidation
product of pyrite and
chalcopyrite. Its thickness is 3–4 m and the dolostone has low radioactivity, while the dark grey
claystone is moderately radioactive. Visible secondary uranium mineralizations are observed
associated with the Um
Bogma Formation in siltstone, shale, clay, and gravel.

41. The Role Of Erosion And Weathering In The Painted Desert...
Have you ever wondered how landmarks like the "The Tepees" in the Painted Desert of Arizona
came to be? Erosion and weathering are the main culprits behind the creation of these unique and
beautiful attractions. The mechanical and chemical procedure that modify objects on Earth's surface
over time are called weathering. Erosion is the method of taking weathered material from one region
to another. Weathering is the breaking down of rock, soil, and minerals. Erosion is the development
of being eroded by wind, water, or other natural causes. Weathering is grinding out of man–made or
natural landforms. Erosion is the weathering out of surface soil and rock worn way through natural
causes like water and wind for example.
Mechanical weathering is when physical procedures naturally breakdown rocks into reduced pieces.
Chemical weathering changes the materials that are part of a rock into new resources. Examples of
chemical weathering are water, acids, and oxidation. Water is important in chemical weathering
because, most substances dissolve in water and acids are also essential since they increase the rate of
chemical weathering even more. Lastly, oxidation which is when an addition of oxygen to a material
is applied it creates an oxide. Which is a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

43. How Interests And Interactions Shape Science And Technology
HOW INTERESTS AND INTERACTIONS SHAPE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Ian Hacking
uses the example of dolomite in order to show that human interests do not play a role in science. His
belief is that there is nothing less socially constructed than a rock, but this statement does not
accurately portray the facts. Dolomite has a long history that involves a number of people and social
interests. Each person contributed to the discovery and identification of dolomite and social factors
were at play during the scientific process. Hackling starts with the history of dolomite. In 1791, a
French geologist, Deodat de Dolomieu, came across a type of limestone in the Tyrolean Alps. Then
in 1792, Nicolas–Theodor von Saussure named the region and the layer of sedimentary rock after
Dolomieu. Saussure then analyzed dolomite; he claimed that it was high in aluminum and held no
magnesium. However, this analysis was incorrect and it would take a decade to get the correct
analysis. Dolomite is an interesting example because it shows that scientific facts have a social
factor that is often ignored. Geologists stuck with Saussure's analysis even though twelve years
earlier a scientist by the name of Giovanni Arduino identified dolomite as magnesia limestone
(Hacking, 187). Arduino correctly identified dolomite's composition but very few people paid
attention to his analysis. Dolomite was named after Dolomieu because he had come across dolomite.

45. The Importance Of Pyrite Recovery From Gangue
Gangue is one of the largest accumulating solid, and is particularly rich in pyrite. Therefore, pyrite
recovery from gangue is not only significant for the environmental protection, but also for the
development and production of chemicals. The dry separation methods, leading to the decreased
waste and cost effectiveness, have received significant attention of many scholars. In this study, the
vibration energy was introduced to promote the separation of particles. The interactions and effect of
comparison of the gas velocity, vibration intensity, and bed height were investigated. Moreover, the
sulfur migration for pyrite recovery from the gangue has been studied by several analytical
techniques. The results show that the segregation efficiency was directly related to the interaction
between various factors. After the separation, the sulfur content of the concentrates of –6+3, –3+1,
and –1+0.5 mm was 37.94, 35.43, and 30.61%, respectively. The sulfur segregation's standard
deviation (SSSD) was >0.70, achieving a satisfactory separation efficiency, indicating that pyrite
was the foremost material in the concentrate, and S and Fe migrated in the form of pyrite during the
separation process, indicating that pyrite could be effectively enriched by the dry method of
vibration fluidized bed after the separation.

47. Rainy Lake Wrench Zone ( Rlwz )
Rainy Lake Wrench Zone (RLWZ)
Most known mineral occurrences in the RRB are in the RLWZ, as it is the best exposed and most
explored part of the block. Modest gold and silver production occurred here in the past (25,000 oz
Au; 3,000 oz Ag) and magmatic sulfide deposits have been outlined in the Grassy Portage intrusion
(two separate mineralized zones: 300,000 t @ 1.89% Cu and 300,000 t @ 0.8% Cu; Poulsen 2000).
The RLWZ also hosts VMS–style prospects in a bi–modal volcanic pile that is underlain by a
composite trondhjemite–tonalite–gabbro–anorthosite intrusion. Zn is predominant in this volcanic
complex, with lesser Cu, indicating shallow water and (or) low temperature mineralization process
affected the rocks. Au has been documented in the volcanic pile, but may represent orogenic style
mineralization. These metal assemblages and the geometry of the volcanic pile are similar to
Sturgeon lake VMS camp (e.g. Hudak 2003), indicating it has potential for hosting economic Zn–Cu
deposits. However, the atypical lithologic make–up of the composite subvolcanic intrusion (i.e.
anorthosite–dominated) does not match well–endowed VMS camps (Galley 2003) and the proximal
high–grade metamorphism (amphibolite facies) and strong deformation (shearing) may have
compromised the preservation of hypogene mineralized zones. If mineralized zones are preserved,
they could be Au–rich, as the structural setting (bounded by crustal–scale faults) and inferred

According to the 2002 Harris poll, seven out of ten adults in the United States take vitamins,

becoming more popular. Companies compete to have the best supplements. It is said that forty
percent of American adults take vitamin supplements and over the counter products, which total in
several billion dollars (Farley 2). Although many of the supplements claim to be healthy and help
lose weight, the dangers are endless. Dietary supplements can be illegally spiked and are not safe.

Exploration Exploration in the region started in 1910s and was focused on Ag–Co veins, with no
significant silver deposits haven been discovered in the McAra area. Copper–zinc (VMS–type?)
mineralized zones were discovered in Archean volcanic rocks in the southern part of North Williams

were evaluated with a HLEM survey and drilled with 2 DDHs (totaling 61.3 m) that did not
intercept significantly mineralized rocks (Willars, 1971). In 1982, perceived Witwatersrand–type
gold deposit potential caused a major staking rush in the area, with exploration focused on
conglomeratic units in the Paleoproterozoic Lorrain Formation of the Cobalt Group that forms the
upper part of the Huronian Supergroup. Exploration was unsuccessful and the claims were quickly

graphite, the carbon atoms are joined together and arranged in layers. The links between the carbon

exactly what has been happening to the considerable amount of people across the country. The
reason being that rarely is a pool of minerals under just one individual's property, but usually under
10 to 20 sets of property and each set of property could be owned by 5 or more people. This means

The one person out of twenty makes the claim they are being forced to sell their mineral rights and
they say it is unconstitutional, but the nineteen other people's rights are taken if they are told they
can't sell their mineral rights. It becomes clear very soon that someone will have their rights taken
away, the question becomes who? In one scenario one person loses their rights but all twenty people
receive a large compensation for the minerals under their property. In the second scenario, nineteen
people lose their property and also denied a tremendous sum of money for the minerals they could
produce. In a perfect world no one would ever have to lose their rights but regrettably, we don't live
in a perfect world so someone will have to forfeit their right. Due to this, we have to look at what is
the greatest good society as a whole, everyone involved in the transaction would benefit from forced
pooling but no one would be any better off without it. This may seem like a very nationalistic
approach and something our founding fathers would have been against but if we look close at
constitutional laws we see this example in Imminent Domain. Now these two ideas are
fundamentally different but are both founded on the idea that what benefits society, benefits the

Supplementation among United States residents has been rising for the past few years. While many
research studies have been conducted, supplementation has been shown to contain benefits for the
population, many more have also found adverse effects that are found in supplementation. This
paper sought to review the research on vitamin and mineral supplementation, and establish a
conclusion on this subject. This paper follows the supplementation use in the United States for the
past few years, and supplementation status among the population. It then reviews the benefits of
supplementation relating to overall deficiency and some diseases such as cardiovascular disease and
diabetes. It then reviews insignificant supplements studies, adverse effects of supplementation, and
the benefit of consuming vitamins and minerals through food rather than through supplements. The
research available on supplementation contains more evidence to support that vitamin and mineral
supplementation have no effect on the majority of the population, and can have possible negative
effects. However, since the data is somewhat unclear and non–conclusive, it is safe to say that some
may consume supplements, but only as needed.

The high positive score of F– might be originated from dissolution of fluro–pyrites, fluorite, various
silicate bearing minerals. However, the agricultural fertilizer is also the source of F– in the
groundwater (Hem, 1991). Furthermore, F– indicated moderate positive correlation with HCO3–.
This correlation demonstrated that both F– and HCO3– are believed to be geogenic source rather
than anthropogenic activities. The PC4 denoted 13.57 % of total variance in groundwater quality
with strong positive loading on pH, I– and HCO3–, showing the alkalinity controlled process in
groundwater. The high value of pH may have led to be dissolution of carbonate and hydroxide
mineral in groundwater. The elevated value of HCO3– in the groundwater indicates intense mineral
weathering, which favors a mineral dissolution (Stumm and Morgan, 1996). In addition to this, high
HCO3– value may be caused by long–term irrigation practices in the study area that circulate the
water in the soil/weathered zone. The PC5 accounted for 12.16 % of variance in groundwater

Rocks are classified to make it easier on people to identify them in the future. This can be done by a
numerous amount of ways. Each rock type has their own specific ways, but there are two distinct
characteristics that apply to all. These are texture and composition. These two, along with many
others helps to classify igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks.
Igneous rocks are classified first by texture. This is broken down mainly into grain size. First there
are intrusive, or plutonic igneous rocks. These types of rocks cool within the crust and forms large,
visible crystals. The opposite would be extrusive, or volcanic rocks. These cool at the surface
