Functions of Database Management System
Data storage, retrieval and update are the fundamental function of DBMS. This will be useful to a Sports Day system. Furthermore, DBMS has a key
feature which is the provision of an integrated system catalog which is called metadata to hold data about the structure of the database, users,
application. It is the self–describing nature of a database that provides what is known as data independence.
The system catalog is accessible to users. Within this, users can easily access the structure of the database when there are any data need to be changed.
Besides that, DBMS can support transaction and provide a mechanism that will ensure all the updates corresponding to a given transaction are made or
that none of them is made. Therefore, the data of the sports day will not be in an inconsistent state if the transaction fails during execution because of a
computer crash. Even if the database transaction fails, the DBMS can provide a mechanism to recover the database to a consistent state.
DBMS enable many users to access shared data concurrently. Concurrent access is easy if all users are only reading data. But when multiple users are
accessing the database simultaneously, the database may result in inconsistencies. DBMS can prevent this occur.
2. Also, DBMS can provide consistency rules that the database is not permitted to violate to maintain database integrity which refers to

5. Case Of Failure Of The Data Nodes
case of failure of the data nodes, the name node knows which data node has failed since that particular data node will not report back in time to the
name node. The name node also knows where the data that is supplied to the data node has gone redundantly to the other data node. Therefore the job
still goes to completion even though a couple of data nodes fail in the big data processing. Since the Hadoop MapReduce framework is master–slave
architecture there is a chance of single point failure. The single point failure occurs when the name node itself fails. In that case there is also a
presence of secondary name node that place in the event of single point failure.

IV.METHODOLOGY/ALGORITHM
.
The action rules discovery is done using the LERS algorithm.
Table 2 – Decision System S Let's apply the LERS algorithm for the decision system S in the table 2. In this example the attributes a, b, c are stable.
The attributes e, f, g are flexible and the d is decision attribute. We will get the action rules when the decision attribute changes from d2 tod1.
Step 1: Extract all rules, which imply пѓ d1 that means we should have d1 on the right hand side of the rule. This should be done using LERS
algorithm.
п‚® d1) b1 пѓ™ c1 – stable f2 пѓ™ g1 – flexible (f, п‚® f2) means change f from anything to f2

6. Chinese Immigrants In Hawaii Essay
The arrival of Chinese immigrants in Hawaii dating back to the late 1700's forever altered the essence of Hawaii. They managed to integrate themselves
into the Hawaiian culture through their contributions in the various plantations and the out setting of their own ventures.
Rough Draft
When one thinks about Hawaii and how it got to be the way that it is, it's rare that people attribute any of its aspects to persons of Chinese ancestry.
Although the presence of Chinese migrants is not the sole cause for the development of Hawaii, they certainly played a colossal role. They managed to
integrate themselves into the Hawaiian culture through their contributions in the various plantations and the out setting of their own ventures.
In 1779, a year after Captain James Cook began exploring the Hawaiian Islands, people from China received word that Hawaii was a prime location for
Pacific Northwest–East Asia commercial trading. Awareness of this fact... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Early Polynesian settlers brought sugar cane to the Islands, but locals exclusively used it. In 1802, Wong Tze–Chun, a Chinese entrepreneur, brought a
mill and boilers to Hawaii aboard a sandalwood trading ship and settled on Lana'I, the first marketing attempt concerning sugar production. Two men
by the names of Ahung and Atai, contrived a sugar mill on Maui in 1828, this inspired some other Chinese residents to manufacture sugar on Kaua'i
in the mid 1830s. By 1838, between 30 and 40 the Chinese were included among the 400 foreigners living in Honolulu initiating business enterprises
in general merchandizing, rice farming, restaurants, bakeries, and the sale of liquors and wines. The Chinese realized the immense opportunities of
trade, and recruited more Chinese to come to the Islands. By the 1850's, sugar had become the major export crop for the Islands. This is can be
