2. Making changes due to ideas from my Focus Group
The left image was my original completed
Front cover, However after showing my
Focus group my final production to find
Out there opinions. I found one of the main
Concerns they had was that the text on
Both sides of the page with the story lines
Should be more in line, and should be equal.
They also thought the picture needed to be
The smallest bit edited and adjusted to I made
That change too.Based on my focus groups
Opinions I made these changes to the cover.
I found my focus groups opinions on this
Very helpful and made the final outcome of
My front cover more appealing to the readers
Eye.
3. Choosing Images
Originally for my front cover image I was
Going to pick the image of my model from
Further away because I felt it captured a
Better view of the harbour which co-operated
With the regional magazine theme more.
However when speaking to my focus group they
Felt the colours were too dull and said the image
Of the models face was clearer and looked more
Proffesional. Due to this I chose the image on the
Right for my main image on my front cover.
The input I was given on the main image was very
Beneficial to me in order to make the best outcome
For my final production.
4. Making Changes to The advert
On the left in my initial advert my
Focus group felt as though it was too
Simplistic and needed some more
Text in order to balance out the image
More. I took these ideas into consideration
And made changes to the advert by adding
A border and more text.
5. Making changes to the Billboard
Initially I chose an image of the harbour to
Be the main image for my billboard however
The feedback I received was that this image looked
Untidy and cluttered with text overlapping it.
Therefore I changed the image to a view of the
Harbour from a different perspective In order
To give it a neater and professional look.
6. Individual comments
‘ One thing I would change is that on the
Contents page it looks as though it is
Too spaced out unlike other magazines I

Competition section onto the contents page as
I have seen in other magazines , this cuased text to be

7. I think that the images sit really well next
To eachother they all look very professional
And the colours do not contrast eachother much’
