4. ConnectiveTissue This tissue holds and supports other tissues and to cushion, insulate and connect organs. Connective tissue includes bone, cartilage, blood, fat (adipose tissue) and loose connective tissue (living glue).
5. NervousTissue It forms the communication system that enables you to respond to sudden changes in the environment. The basic unit of nervous tissue is the neuron.
6. MuscleTissue The skeletal muscle tissue makes up skeletal muscles which are attached to the bones and enable various parts of the body to move. Skeletal muscles are under your conscious control and are called voluntary muscles.
7. Cardiac muscles are made of cardiac muscle tissue and are found in the heart. They cause the heart to beat.
8. Smooth muscles are made of smooth muscle tissue and are found in the digestive system. One of their functions is moving food through the digestive system.
