  5. 5. CONVENTIONS • Different from the two movies as we have steered towards the topic of love.• Tried to achieve the same effect of out audience as twilight and Jennifer’s body. • We have kept it professional by having less continuity errors and by building up tension.

DISTRIBUTION – NATIONALLY OR INTERNATIONALLY? • If I were to distribute this film internationally I would use Warner Brothers.• I would like this film to be distributed nationally too however if the movie was released in the UK with not much back up by a bigger company it may not get a wide range of viewers. I would use Working title to distribute our film in the UK as it is a British and independent company.
  13. 13. WAYS OF DISTRIBUTION• I think the best way to distribute the film would be on the internet as its easy find out how popular a movie can get. • there are also disadvantages to internet distribution such as piracy.

DEMOGRAPHICS • Our production will involve a group of teenagers aged between 15 – 17. • The lead characters will be in the age gap to attract the attention of similar age groups • Cast of mixed genders and ethnicity • May attract more female audience but will also attract males due to elements of horror

  19. 19. CAMERA AND EDITING• Used more than one camera: Flip cam and DSLR • Learn to film less shaky shots by using a tripod • Using iMovie to edit footage • Experimenting with colour grading on iMovie

  22. 22. IMPROVED SINCE PRELIMINARY TASK • Followed the storyboard • Better continuity • Followed shooting schedule • good use of time• Used appropriate props that were on set
  23. 23. QUALITY • Used a wider range of shots and angles for different scenes • Used DSLR for close up and more defined shots• Filmed more than we needed and from different angles to see which would look better when edited together. • Used shallow focus when needed
  24. 24. QUALITY (IMPROVED)• Edited out/ worked around any unwanted footage (shaky or too fast footage) • Used more than one angle to select appropriate ones and reshot any other scenes that we needed to improve on • Music – royalty free

  26. 26. AUDIENCE FEEDBACK ON ROUGH CUT Things to improve:- story was unclear, need a shot of the boy dead on the floor before flashback - sound track to match the scenario throughout the opening. Good things: - The shots are good. steady shot was shot well. - Good use of teenagers for a teenage movie opening - Good use of colour grading, looks a lot like professional films such as Twilight.
