1. Recce
Below are the key locations I am planning to use in my coursework. I took my pictures on my
iphone using the pano mode to get as much of each loaction as possible.
Mudeford quay.
Thisis myfirstlocationforone of the picturesformy album coverphoto.I chose thisplace because I
believeitwill capture the perfectimage I’mgoingfor,thisisbecause Iwantto create a scenic,water
picture completedwithasunsetanda singularfishingboat. Ialsochose thislocationbecause not
manypeople will be there, soit’ll be easiertogeta good picture withoutanyinterference. Iwill be
takingmy image inthe eveningwhenthe sunissettingoverthe water, soIcan capture the
reflection,I’ll alsobe planningontakingthe picturesona non-rainydaywithclearskiesandno
clouds.Considerationsforthislocationwould be ourhealthandsafety.One cautionwouldbe falling
intothe wateror getstuck inthe mud/sand bythe side of the path,anothercouldbe the road
behindandthe cars or bikesthe cycle past onthe path.
Mudeford beach
Thislocationcouldbe the otheralternative formymainphotofor the albumcover.I have decidedto
choose twodifferentlocationsasitopensupmy optionsaleavesme withavarietyof different
typesof imagesto choose from,tomake sure I can getthe bestimage possible formyalbum.The
sealocationwill be anothergoodplace tocapture the bestimage because there'slittle landinsight
whenlookingouttsea andthat’s the ideaI wasgoingfor. Thispart of Mudefordbeachis none to
have roughoceans andbig waves,whichispartlywhyIchoose the location.Iwantedthe bigwaves
as I feel like it'lladdtothe effectof the image i'm tryingtocapture as itwill representthe middle of
the ocean more.Ialso choose thislocationbecause itlooksgoodwithasunsetbehind/reflectingon

2. the waterand its alsoa reallyquietplace withlittle interruptionsfrompeopleduringthistime of
year(November).Iamonce againgoingto take my picturesinthe eveningwhenthe sunissetting
and the skiesare clear.A cautionof thislocationmaybe the seaand fallingoverthe railswhen
takingthe pictures.Anothercautionmaybe the car park behindthe pathand railsthat have many
movingvehicles.
Mudefrod quay docs.
Form this location I wanted to get a picture of a little fishing boat or yacht that I could edit
into the image of the sunset and sea to emphasis on the meaning of ‘drifting’ (bands name)
and ‘beyond the ocean’ (title of the album). I choose this location because it has a lot of
simplistic tumbler boats that would fit perfectly with my idea and theme. I also chose this
location as it allows you to get up close to all the boats allowing me to get the best shoot
possible. When taking the pictures, I would need to watch out for the tide as it could come
in and the sand as its easy for your feet to start sinking if standing in the same position for to
long. I will be taking these images during the day, so I can get good lighting on the boats
from the sun. id also plan to take these pictures on a day that isn’t wet and rainy and has
mostly clear skies.
braggers wood
At this location I will be taking some pictures of the band members to put onto my album
cover. I choose this location because it has great lighting and is a good place for the models
to express themselves in the manor I’m looking for. I will be taking the picture in the middle
of the day when the sun is at its highest enabling me to get the best possible lighting, so my
pictures can come out in excellent quality. The hazards at this location would be the vehicles
that go down the entrance also any sharp twigs or bushes and the public and their pets.

3. My house/stairways
I believe this location is the best kind of location to take the images of my models as it has
natural lighting from the window plus the landing light its also a plain, blank background so
when it comes to editing and cropping them out it’ll be easier to do as their outline will be
more defined. It’ll also be easy to retake some pictures if I don’t get them perfect the first
time as the stair way doesn’t change its lighting resulting in the images have the same
outcome. I will aimto take the photos in the later afternoon when the sun is dawning, so I
can catch it as the light passes my window. The only caution with this location would be
falling down the stairs or catching yourself on the edge of the banister.
