1. QUESTION 6: WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED
ABOUT TECHNOLOGIES FROM THE
CONSTRUCTING OF THIS PRODUCT?
2. Cameras
I had used digital cameras before, however nothing
more advanced than a bridge. When taking photos
for my magazine, I used a slightly more complicated
DSLR, something which I had never really used
before. Gaining knowledge of things like aperture I
think improved the photos I took, creating a more
professional look.
3. Photoshop
Having previously studied media at
GCSE, and having an interest in design outside
of education, I had prior knowledge of Adobe
products. I feel this helped me to get a solid
design for my cover page, and improve on
photos I was planning to include using
Photoshop.
4. Quark
Quark was a completely new piece of software to me, and this
unfamiliarity meant I found it relatively difficult to begin with. I did
some research into tutorials, and this helped me to get the look I
wanted for my contents page and double-page spread.
5. Blogging
I haven’t used the conventional blogging platform for
awhile, as social networks are more convenient, but
creating a online portfolio means my work is easily
accessible from any computer which has made things
easier.
