2. Definition (Horror)
• Horror fiction is a genre of which is intended
to, or has the capacity to frighten, scare, or
startle its readers by inducing feelings of
horror and terror.
3. Limitations
• The make up will be hard to do as no one in
our group can do special effects make up to
show conventions of horror.
• It will actually hard to make the product look
scary without it looking quite amateurish.
• It will be difficult to get a clear picture in the
dark as horror films are tend to be set.
• The settings and area to film especially in the
dark can be unsafe e.g. the woods.
4. Examples of the horror genre
The Conjuring
(2013)
Annabelle
(2014)
The Exorcist
(1973)
5. Why did I choose horror?
• I chose horror because in my spare time I do
like to watch a lot of horror films so I am
familiar with the genre and its conventions.
• I think showing the conventions of horror will
be easy to portray e.g. dark lighting, sound
effects.
