17. As the European population ages, more support is needed with fewer hands to
cater for their needs. There is a huge market potential for Ambient Assisted Living
(AAL) solutions, but adoption is limited because they require significant resources
for implementation
To address this, universAAL produced an open platform and a standardized
approach, making it technically feasible and economically viable to develop and
deploy innovative AAL solutions

Editor's Notes The inspiration for universAAL came from the mobile domain
Service providers and developers will offer their services in uStore, while end users will be able to find the most suitable service for their needs, environment etc.
The end user community will be built through uStore using different feedback mechanisms and open discussions between all the stakeholders
The innovation of uStore is by creating a one meeting point for end users, developers and service providers. Our goal is to speed up the adoption and spreading of AAL Services by making it easier and more comfortable to the user to get the service he/she is looking for
