SPRITE
Client Brief
In the following report, I shall be discussing who the client is,
what exactly they want to produce with us and what needs the
would like in the advert. The treatment will state how you will
produce the advert and how much this will cost the client.
Our client is manufactured by the Coca-Cola company and is a
drinks producer and distributor. Sprite was first developed in west Germany in 1959 and it
was later introduced to the US under its current name 1961. Sprite is a well-known fizzy
drink that is now sold world-wide. The Coca-Cola company is an international company and
is known world-wide for its wide range of products.
Treatment
Sprite would be interested in Future Skills radio to create an advert for them as the
demographic fits there desired targeted audience. The people who listen to Future Skills
radio are teenagers and young adults, the radio station is broadcasted within the college so
it would be a good audience to advertise sprite towards. Due to the music and tone our
advert will include/have, this younger audience that is based in Future Skills can relate to
the advert.
The style of the advert will be upbeat and entertaining, it will
include popular music for the targeted audience and a happy
sounding voice over. It will also include effects such as
bubbles popping and a can fizzing when being opened. The
advert won’t include that much talking as we believe that too
much talking results in people zoning out and not paying
attention. Due to the young targeted demographic the tone
of voice that would be used would be informal as we feel as
though this would be appropriate for the audience.
Sprite had created TV adverts in the past that had featured famous pop artists such as LL
Cool J and A Tribe Called Quest. This shows the sort of nonchalant advertising they are
wanting there advert to portray, they also are associated with the NBA and big names such
as Lebron James. With this urbanised background they have developed as a company we
thought by sticking with this in our own radio advert would be a great way to keep its USP.
We developed a script for the radio advert and Alex in our group is going to be the voice for
this. As well as the talking there will be a pop music sound bed in the background so there
isn’t any dead air during the advert. There would also be effects during the advert which
would include things such as a sprite can being opened and the fizz of the drink. Due to us
not needing to pay someone for the voice acting and the music we want to use its fairly old
It won’t be a lot financially to create the advert.
