Financial Considerations
1. Financial Considerations
The financial considerations in radio
production is key for companies that wish to
advertise their product or service on the
Radio. There are many different elements
that need to be considered but the main
cost being music and royalties. As well as
he royalty fees you will have to pay to have
your advert aired on a Radio show. Prices for this can change considerably
depending on what radio station and what time of the day you want your radio
advert being aired. For example, if you wanted to air an advert at 8am on a
popular radio show such as Capital FM it is going to cost considerably more
than if you were to air it at 22:00 on Classic FM.
Other considerations for a radio advert at the music royalties. These are
payments to a party, the licence or franchisee for the right to use the asset.
These are usually agreed upon as a percentage of gross or net revenues
derived from the use of an asset or a fixed price on per unit sold. Music
royalties is needed as it is the primary source of payment to the musicians.
If you are wanting to create an advert for radio you are going to want it to
sound as professional as possible. To do this a professional recording studio
is required and there is going to be a cost to rent one of these for the duration
in which you will use it. This should take into account peoples wages who may
be working on the advert in the studio for editing etc. as well hiring people to
help with the technical side of the advert creation you need to pay voice artist
fees if you use an actor as a voice over in your radio advert. They usually
charge a price depending on how many words they say or how long the talk
for. 300 words usually translates to about 2 minutes.
