iMovie review for editing video projects under 40 chars
1. Software reviews script
iMoviesupports you with a number of tools and accessories
are very helpfulfor editing videos, such as the split tool
which can be used to separate clips into two. By pressing
detach you can split the audiofrom the video and carry it
underneathanother video in order to overlapthe sound. It
also provides you with a limited selection of filters to place
on the clips, all filters of which often look very pleasing when
appliedto the clips on the timeline. The text optionhowever
can be quite tricky to work. There are times where it doesn’t
seem to function the way you want it to, whether you want it
to transition properly or if you want one row of text it refuses
to remove a second row. The software also has limited
optionswith sound and picture editing.
I am less familiarwith Promo. But as I got more into it I see
what it can really be used for, and that is making promotional
videosfor businesses and bands, etc. One of the things that
attracts me to it is it’s warm and welcoming feel that it uses
its editing optionsto show off. While the website offers a
number of editing opportunitiessuch as trimming, adding
music and using free stock footage for the videos, it doesn’t
seem to have enough for me to feel comfortable to use it for
my final major project. It also doesn’t seem to be working
properly on my iPad, it repeatedly continues to buffer which
would make it very difficult for me to edit my project on.
2. Again, I am unfamiliarwith Photopea but as I began to look
through it a lot I began to understand it more, and I have
come to the conclusion that the site would not be a suitable
option for my FinalMajor Project. The site is essentiallya lot
like photoshop, it has a lot of cut and paste like tools that are
very similar to photoshop. It also allows the user to move an
image around the page and crop certain parts of it. These
functionswould come really handy if my project was
photographybased, but I intend to make a film for my
project and I think something like photopea just wouldn’t
work for that.
This is my first time using Cavalry,I understand is used for
animationrelated projects. Unfortunately, I have been
unsuccessful in being able to use it myself(possibly due to my
limitationsin technology) but I have watched plenty of
tutorials on the site about how it works. It seems like a
software that would be really useful for creating 2D animated
films, but once again I don’t think it is suitable for my project.
I intend to make my final major project using cameras not
computers. I can also see it being difficult to use on my iPad.
Not to say it doesn’t have intriguing qualitiesand could be
really interesting to use, there are also ways to make the
animationlook 3D. But I still don’t think it’s suitable option.
I am familiarwith the name “RenderForest” but have never
actuallyused the software before. The site offers a number
of editing styles and formats that look very appealingand
could make my film look nicer. I am able to add stock photos
into certain filters which can also look very aesthetically
pleasing. I think the site would be too difficult for me to edit
3. my full project on. But I think I could use for some smaller
projects in the future, possibly for my YouTubechannelor
just to experiment.
After reviewing all the softwares I have come to the
conclusion that iMovieis the best software to edit my project
on.
