2. Existing Product
This product is based on only one game, it uses the song light em up to accompany the clips
because it suits the games well and its fast pace beats are perfect for action scenes. Each
clip is no longer than 6 seconds and the pacing is fast which keeps the audience focused on
the montage, this is done so that it can mix well with the music as the music is fast pace.
No effects or text are used in the product to make it make it more natural because its
advertising the games, it also won’t distract the audience from the games. The purpose of
this product is to advertise the assassin’s creed games, it has achieved this by only showing
assassin’s creed games in the montage. Also the image used to advertise the product shows
all the assassins, which is letting the audience know what's in the product, the poster also
shows the assassin’s creed logo to advertise the product even more.

Fallout 4 tribute ad victoriam
This montage is more based on the story of the game, the music used is called sharks don’t
sleep, what's different this song is that there's no dialog so that the characters in the game can
be heard. The music is also very dramatic which can make the audience feel mixed emotions,
none of them bad. The pacing of the clips are quite fast with each clip being 4 seconds long, this
suits the pacing of the music and keeps the audience on the edge of there seats. The purpose of
this product is to tell a story and it has done this by using quotes from the source material. The
image used to advertise the product is dark and only shows the characters that are in the
montage, there is a dark tone to the image and the connotations of the word dark are evil, bad,
mysterious. Also the font used in the poster is retro giving the product an old fashion look which
blends well with the montage

Skyrim My demon's
This product is based on one game. Its mainly just a montage killings within the game. There's no story
to it, and there has been no added effects. The type of music used in the product is dramatic, which is
appropriate for the clips as having pop music behind people being killed would look out of place. Each
clip shown is no longer than 5 seconds, and the pacing of the clips is mixed, when the music is calm
the pacing is slow and when the music is intense the pacing is fast, this is the best technique to blend
clips and music together. The purpose of this product is to entertain and it has achieved this by
showing a lot of violence, and violence can put people on the edge of there seats. The poster shown
to advertise only shows the main character overlooking the land, this lets the audience know that the
montage is based on something big which will attract people to watch the montage. The font used in
the poster is medieval so that I suits the main theme of the product, which is medieval fantasy.

A kind of magic was made in the 80s by a band called queen, it is similar to my product
because it’s a video with music backing it up, except with this product the main focus is
with the music not the clips, so its more like the clips back up the music. The pacing of the
music is slow too so it blends well with the slow pace of the clips. The length of each clip
is quite long, about 15 seconds each, and the pacing is slow which keeps the audience
relaxed. The purpose of this product is to make entertain and make people happy, it has
achieved this by playing upbeat music and showing calm slow clips. The advertisement
poster is yellow and orange, which lets the audience know that this is quite a wacky and
fun song. The connotations of the word yellow are crazy, wild, enjoyable, which tells us
there personality.

the strengths and weaknesses of each method
– Product Research
• This was helpful as it lets me see what type of effects other editor do, it also lets me see

make it look like there one whole clip. The research was quite difficult to do, as there are
not many video montages out there.
– Questionnaires
• The questionnaires help me see what the audience wants to see within my product, it also
lets me know what they don’t want to see. I can also see what kind of people would want

instance if they where a violent person I would make the montage violent.

disadvantage
I distributed the survey by posting it on Facebook, I felt this was
