Personal Reflection Of Personal Writing
Hi Professor Savage,
You mention in your email quite a few references to my writing having some serious issues, yet in
the grading not one example was pointed out––. I ask that if you believe the same applies to any part
of the draft submission that you highlight at least the one that will explain any significant point
deduction. More, importantly, I would like to know exactly where I can use improvements, plus I
prefer clarity as to where and/or why points were taken off in this class. Sometimes stylistic choice
is mistaken for poor writing or incoherent or illogical as you suggested. I have not come across any
professor that has said so much about my writing (negatively) and not offer any example. A link in
this case is not exactly the solution for all that was implied. Anyhow, my main goal is to focus on
where I can fix it myself, so please. show where, next time–thanks.
You said, "The essay is not intended to be a personal reflection or a guide for writers but rather an
advocacy for an idea." The journal and notes came across reflective, well, because they're
preliminary tools, the scaffold to the final, right. I understand the draft and final are 3rd POV,
backed by annotation, and my opinion as well, but not delivered as a personal narrative. The
"backstory" was merely to show I am speaking from some experience. We cannot advocate what we
don't understand, sure credible annotations are needed, but self–publishing is a hands–on approach,
therefore, subjective, too.
I'm concerned about a few things, and then again, not so much knowing all these assignments
leading to the actual final submission are meant to serve us as a form of outline–the chaos, ironed–
out. As you must be aware brainstorming can happen at any stage. However, I do have a few
comments on some changes you suggested (thanks) and those I have in mind. You said, "concisely,",
and I assure you my aim for the final, I don't worry too much at these stages, as I will rigorously
edit, revise and chisel–away from the draft, and then polish for the final. Furthermore, incorporate
any feedback if given and are applicable from the workshop and your grading notes. I'm not fond of
MindEdge's outline approach, but I do get the gist, while still using what

Team Assignments
Team Video Analysis Report
In preparation for preparing and submitting the team's Final Project, each week you will create your
own consultant's notes as you observe various CanGo meetings (via the video episodes/cases).
For the week 4 Team report you are to list 6 issues facing CanGo that you gleaned from the week 3
and 4 videos. They should be prioritized in order of importance. They should be numbered.
The team must then come up with an actionable recommendation for each of the issues found. These
should also be numbered. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A significant part of the information you will use will come from the Video Episodes and Lectures
that you are reviewing each week. What it takes includes your working together via the iConnect
venue, Team Discussions, and individual efforts – all coming together as team efforts.
Be sure to use the skills and talents each of you has – from your education programs and/or work
experience and learning materials. The synergy and success in your completing the Final Project
will make a huge difference in these deliverables. Work together, uncover what you do (as well as
do not) know about CanGo and your recommendations, and be prepared for the rewards of efforts
that will demonstrate your future successes in this course, at work, with charities, and in your
personal lives.
Team Leader Weekly Status Report
Each week, it is the weekly Team Leader's responsibility to complete and submit the Weekly Status
Report to track the team's activities and progress on current projects. This is also the place to point
out any developing issues with team members who are failing to perform their share of the work, or
to address any other issues that may affect team performance. Identify your Weekly Team Status

Groupwork Reflection
Background
Groupwork is considered one of the important parts in Business Analytics, no matter in professional
study or in working career. To provide the similar experience, the business analytics course in
UNSW had set a groupwork task to analyze the business blueprint for internet of thing (IoT) in
different business domain. This individual reflection will basically show the experience got from
this groupwork process.
Overview of Team's Groupwork Journey
Once formed, the team had started the planning of the whole IoT groupwork, which mainly consists
of group assignment and presentation. Following the requirement of lecturer, the team firstly
discussed the possible domains that might broadly apply IoT technology and sent an e–mail to ...

Strengths & Difficulties
During the process of working on the group assignment and presentation, it is observed that the
team has shown some good features of teamworking, which helped us to finish the groupwork task
in a higher quality and efficiency. These features might include:
Schedule Planning and Management. One of the good points for the team is to process the work
schedule with flexibility and conscientiousness. For instance, before taking the first group meeting,
the team members had shared class and working timetables so that the team could find the meeting
time that all team members are available and ensure the quality of meeting. Moreover, when
booking the room at meeting time, the team will book rooms for two more hours in case that the
problem might not be solved in the scheduled meeting time, which provides high flexibility for the
team.
Information Share & Analysis. Another good point for the team is to share the information and make
analysis for multiple parts. Instead of fully distributing assignment parts to each member, the team
shared all the cases as well as articles found to one independent folder, then thoroughly discussed
the possibility to apply these cases in different parts. Thus, the final group assignment had shown
high consistency on the content and the overall quality of our groupwork had been

Essay On Swartdogs Competition
The FIRST Iowa Regional Robotics Competition was held in the UNI Dome and McLeod Center
just a few weeks ago, from March 23 through March 25. FIRST is all about combining science,
technology and fun. High school students work in teams to design robots and complete complicated
tasks under strict regulations in just six weeks. The competition offers a taste of real–world
engineering as students are challenged to build a team and brand, enhance teamwork skills, raise
funds, build and program a robot, form strategic alliances and compete against tough competition.
On the last day of the competition, Saturday March 25, events started at 8:00 a.m. After a brief
opening ceremony with the guest speaker, UNI President Mark Nook, the qualifying matches ...

The quarterfinal match ended in a tie and forced a tiebreaker. The second match also ended in a tie
and was decided by a mere five penalty points. Though the Swartdogs didn't win the regional title
this year, they are an incredibly successful team. In their 18–year history they have been regional
winners 12 times and received numerous team awards. This year, the Swartdogs won the Creativity
Award sponsored by Xerox, won their second Volunteer of the Year award and their fifth Woodie
Flowers Award for outstanding team mentors.
The last semifinal match was truly a show–stopper. The two alliances were so determined to make it
into the final match that they tied their semifinal match six times! When a tie takes place there are
certain point categories with more weight to decide the winner. However, the alliances were fighting
so hard that their scores were identical six times in a row. This semifinal wowed the judges and the
fans, and was an emotional rollercoaster right before the final match.
When the tiebreakers were settled, the final two alliances faced off for the regional title. After the
crazy semifinal battle, the atmosphere was intense. In the end the Blue Alliance emerged victorious
and teams 2410 from Overland Park, Kansas, 5690 from Esko, Minnesota, and 4506 from Saint
Paul, Minnesota were declared the

How to Sharpen Hockey Skates Essay
The most important part of a hockey player's gear is their skates. To be more precise the blades on
the skates are the most important, because that is what is in contact with the ice to allow the player
to generate traction to move around the ice with ease. So the equipment manager or anyone else who
has the job of sharpens someone's hockey skates need to have the knowledge to be able to sharpen
someone skates perfectly. They have to know the correct process to sharpen skates to perfection
every time. The process is very simple as long as you can follow this procedure to ensure perfection
in the skate sharpening. Initially we check the blades for any imperfections, so that they can be
eliminated to make less of a problem later on in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Dressing the finish wheel is of utmost importance to ensure that the skates have parallel edges and a
good hollow. The next step of the process is to start sharpening the skate blades. First you clamp the
skate in the clamp with the toe to the front of the clamp, and then lock the blade in tightly. Next
slowly slide the skate across the wheel being sure not to over rounding the toe and heel of blade too
much. Complete this step about 10 times for a blade that has not first gone over the cross grinding
wheel. For a blade that has gone across the cross grinding wheel do this step until the cross grinding
marks are gone. Then unclamp and do the same to the second skate blade. As soon as you finish the
number of passes on the skates you check the blade of levelness or parallel edges on both sides of
the blade. You do this step by setting the gauge in the front, middle, and back of the skate if the gray
line on the level, is level all the way across go on to the final step. If the edges are unlevel when you
put the gauge, on you must figure out if the knobs on the clamp have to be turned up or down in the
front or the back or both. To do this you look at which side the gray line is showing more of if it
shows more on the left side when the gauge is on the front you turn the knob down in the front of
the clamp and vice versa for the back. When gauge is placed in the middle of the blade, it should

The Final Solution from Witnesses to the Holocaust
The years of 1941 and 1942 paint a vivid description of ugly, taking place events too hard to take in,
and the death of 6 million innocent people. The Final Solution in an excerpt from Witnesses to the
Holocaust: An Oral History, where Sam Bankhalter and Hinda Kibort detail their horrifying account
of Hitler's rash and day to day life in the Nazi concentration camps where they were imprisoned.
The Final Solution was a plan systematically matriculated by the Nazi to exterminate European Jews
by placing them in work camps designed for certain death.
Sam Bankhalter was just fourteen at the time when he was captured by the Nazis in his native land
of Poland and exiled to Auschwitz. In a detailed account he paints the picture of life as a Jew during
Hitler's fury and the unimaginable accounts of terror that occurred. According to Bankhalter, racism
of European Jews was already occurring in Poland even before Hitler invaded, and their slogan was
"Jew get out of here and go to Palestine." He accounts of being beaten and spit on the school
grounds on a daily basis, long before Hitler invaded. Bankhalter describes his journey to the ghetto
as laced with barbed wire and Nazi mocking Jews cutting off men's beards and beating them as they
yelled at the Jews to assemble. The Nazi's only gave them about twenty minutes to pack, leaving
them time to only gather the necessities, which would only be stripped from them later. Bankhalter
was only in the ghetto for a short time, and then sent

In What Way Does The Final Scene of Act 1 Demonstrate...
In What Way Does The Final Scene of Act 1 Demonstrate Dramatically The
Tensions Between The Characters Which Will Lead to Tragedy?
The final scene of Act 1 in Arthur Miller's 'A View From The Bridge' demonstrates dramatic tension
in a variety of different ways. It is made fairly clear from the final moments of the act when Alfieri
returns to the stage that the play will end in tragedy. Miller shows this through dialogue between the
characters and in the plentiful stage directions with which he liberally sprinkles the text. There is a
range of conflict present in the scene. The central conflict however, involves Eddie's
unacknowledged jealousy towards Rodolfo; this is the strongest.
The above dispute is clearly visible when ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Alfieri's interlude, between
Eddie leaving his office and the lights coming up on the apartment behind, indicates quite clearly the
play will end in tragedy. Alfieri says "I could see every step coming, step after step, like a dark
figure walking down a hall toward a certain door". He adds that he even asked an old, wise woman
what she thought he should do. The answer she gave was "pray for him". It is obvious that Eddie is
extremely vulnerable.
Alfieri guesses how Eddie feels for Catherine and gently suggests that he needs to let go.
Unfortunately Eddie cannot bring himself to admit that he loves Catherine like Beatrice and
therefore does not benefit from Alfieri's advice. He reacts "furiously". He desperately tries to invent
problems in his mind why Rodolfo cannot marry Catherine because deep down he is jealous.
The next section of the scene opens with the family finishing dinner.
Other tensions become more apparent in this scene. A prime example is that between Eddie and
Beatrice. Their conflict is made apparent as
Beatrice desperately tries to keep the conversation going, sensing
Eddie's growing anger. Instead of trying to suppress his annoyance at
Rodolfo he erupts at the cousins and scorns Beatrice.
"Sure. How you gonna catch sardines on a hook?"
Everything that Rodolfo says during this scene, Eddie takes the wrong way. I think this partly due to
their very different personalities.
For example Eddie looks out for his

Final Fantasy XII : The Zodcraft And Gaming EX
When Final Fantasy XII released for PlayStation 2 in early 2006, the game sought to introduce a
new style of play and to revolutionize the long–running franchise. To achieve this extraordinary
task, Square Enix had to break the conventions of Final Fantasy – like by introducing a real–time
combat system, and bet on an original and risky concept. In the end, the gamble paid off and Final
Fantasy XII was a success; however, the title quickly became a divisive topic of conversation amidst
the gaming community.
With a decade having passed since the original release, many of the Final Fantasy XII's
revolutionary ideas are now commonplace in the RPG genre. What was new and strange to us in
2006 is now a gaming standard, and that makes 2017 the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The core of Final Fantasy XII remains the same, but refinements make The Zodiac Age a more
enjoyable journey when compared to the original release. The first thing people will notice are the
improved visuals. Character models have been improved, as well as towns and outdoor
environments. Though some of the texture work looks flat, the visual upgrade is quite impressive.
The second thing people will notice is the revamped soundtrack. Final Fantasy has a longstanding
tradition of producing masterful soundtracks, and the music for Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age
is among the best the series has to offer.
Arguably, the most substantial improvement is found in the newly refined and streamlined approach
given the game's job system. The License Board of Final Fantasy XII was clumsy and a source of
frustration, but it has been improved in The Zodiac Age. Final Fantasy XII provided all six
characters with identical License Board, but that has been changed for the better. The License Board
now differs for each job; thus allowing the player to select skills and other upgrades with ease. This
may sound like a minor alteration, but simplifying the job system permits the player to make
changes more quickly and not become bogged down by a convoluted system.
A welcome addition presented in the game is the option to increase the game's speed. If you are

Recounting In The Film 'Every Secret Thing'
The syuzhet in the first few scenes of Every Secret Thing omits and distorts the events surrounding
Olivia's kidnapping and murder in order to frame Ronnie as a criminal and Alice as an innocent girl.
By doing this, the syuzhet creates several suppressed gaps which get filled by the enacted recounting
later on. Numerous occurrences at the start of the film establish Alice and Ronnie's conflicting
personalities. At the pool party, Alice tries to fit in with the other girls, albeit unsuccessfully.
Meanwhile, Ronnie sits alone, not even bothering to try to befriend the other girls. Ronnie then slaps
one girl's mother, and gets kicked out of the pool party. While walking back home, Ronnie steals
baby Olivia. These scenes give a strong first impression ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This state of confusion ends definitively with the final scenes of the film, when the syuzhet reveals
the true fabula in a final set of flashbacks. While killing herself in a bathtub, Ronnie has her final
flashback. This flashback shows Olivia's death for the first time. The syuzhet reveals that Olivia was
not directly murdered by Ronnie, but rather died from a simple lack of care. This flashback again
shows Alice bullying and threatening Ronnie. The final shot of the film reveals the truth of Olivia's
kidnapping definitively. In this shot, Alice as a child stands in place of Ronnie, looking down at
Olivia before stealing her. This confirms that Alice stole Olivia, not Ronnie. This shot is not a
flashback from a specific character in the film, but rather it is the syuzhet giving a direct look at the
true fabula event. Since this shot is not being recounted by any character, it is safe to trust, since no
bias could possibly exist. This last shot finalizes the reversal of the expectations set up in the first
half of the film. Ronnie was the more normal girl, pushed into cooperating with a bully due to a
drastic set of

East Campbelltown booked their semi final place after surviving a massive scare from Cabramatta
before eventually being too good for the Two Blues 38–26 in the first Elimination Final at
Campbelltown Stadium last Sunday.
The Two Blues – who scraped into eighth spot in the last round of the regular season – came out
breathing fire in taking it right up to the Eagles.
Winger Jake Webb got Cabra off to the best possible start in the just the fifth minute when he scored
the opening try in the corner. Mikaera Ormsby converted and the Two Blues led 6–nil. ... Show

Webb completed his double 12 minutes later, and Ormsby's third straight conversion gave Cabra a
shock 18–nil lead over a non plussed Eagles outfit.
East Campbelltown got to hang on to the ball late in the first half and converted their possession into
points.
Sean Connor got the Eagles on the board 10 minutes out from half time with their first major, before
former Wests Tigers NYC half Wade Dunley started and finished a second phase move through
multiple hands to have East Campbelltown within striking distance at onlhy 18–12 down at the
break after Ben Baker converted both first half tries.
Dunley then completed his double in the first set of six tackles from the kickoff to the second half to
level scores at 18–all with another Baker conversion.
Webb landed a penalty goal 13 minutes into the second half to regain the lead for the Two Blues at
20–18, before a Cabramatta turnover from the restart allowed the Eagles the opportunity for honest
second rower Ronny Palumbo to score.
Baker again converted and the Eagles again led

A Dream About Final Exams in Wislawa Szymborsk's Poem...
Wislawa Szymborska poem "Brueghel's Two Monkeys" starts out in a strange way. It begins out by
what the author "dreams about final exams" (1). Oddly, what she sees in her dream is "two monkeys,
chained to the floor" (2). The poem is about the human conditions in different settings of mankind.
The monkeys are the things that of the poets dream about the exam. The monkeys are a symbol of
the suffering of mankind–based on the chains–through the unpredictable events. As said in the last
stanza, "One monkey stares and listens with a mocking disdain" (7), while "the other seems to be
dreaming away" (8). The poem is full of metaphors that get the reader thinking about what it means
in respect to what the author is addressing. Reality has junctions in which one is peaceful while the
other is harsh. In the poem "Brueghel's Two Monkeys" by Wislawa Szymborska, we will look at
representation of human condition in a certain event. We will examine the human conditions through
exams, history, and solution.
In the poem, when it comes to exams it shows a great deal of decision making. In the first stanza of
the poem it show a significantly note of assessment. The part where the two monkeys were "chained
to the floor, sit on the windowsill" (2), the line after states "the sky behind them flutters" (3). The
monkeys are being assessed in beginning of the poem. The part of where the monkeys "sit on the
windowsill" (2) illustrates the idea of whether one should stay in the position of where

Beachboard Case Study
The purpose of the experimenter is to find out if the beachboard should extend the time to let the
students could be able to see all of their scores including the scores of their last tests or finals. If yes,
then how and if no, then why? The reason is that because the experimenter has experienced many
times going to Beachboard after the final day of school to look for the last scores from classes, but
didn't see the scores of the final tests. The experimenter could only go to MyCSULB to look for the
letter grades of the courses about some weeks after the finals have been done. About some weeks
after the final, everything on Beachboard from the old courses disappeared. The experimenter even
had to email professors to ask for the scores of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is because some classes has about hundreds of students and the professors need a lot of time to
grade for students' final tests. If the Beachboard could extend more time, all of the students would
be able to see all of their final scores on Beachboard. The Beachboard could also add one more item
into its "Grades" tab like "Final Letter Grade." If so, the students could also see their letter grades at
the end of each semester from professors without needing to log into MyCSULB or to calculate it by
themselves.
Appendix: Questionaire
1. You saw all of your tests' scores on Beachboard at the end of each semester? Yes No
2. How long could you see your final tests' scores on Beachboard after the final day in school?
3. Have you ever had to ask your professor about the grade of your last tests on Beachboard? Yes No

My Favorite Game
It was around 6am and I got a call from my friend asking me the dumbest question ever, "Are you
up?" I got really angry and annoyed at the same time because I hate getting woken up for some
stupid reason. But then he called me to tell me that we had a soccer game at 7:30 am. I got out my
bed and said, "On my way!" I hung up the phone and ran to the bathroom to take a quick shower, as
soon as I got out the bathroom I got into my room to get all of my stuff ready. I put on my socks, my
really tight shorts that I don't really enjoy wearing and my jersey with the number 17 on it. I got my
stuff and gave my mom a goodbye kiss. I ran as fast as possible and got on the 35th bus to get to the
soccer field in Alianza. It wasn't my favorite place to play at since the turf felt like carpet, but
anywhere I can play soccer I'm happy. I got there at 7:20, 10 minutes before the game which was
enough time to stretch.
My coach was glad to see me as I was to see the team, it was an important game.
It was the quarter finals to go to semis, and we were all excited especially me since it was my
second year playing soccer. We all got into the field and put on our gear. We finished putting on our
gear and got on the field, there was 10 of us on the team since it was a 5v5 tournament. We were
standing waiting for the ref to blow the whistle since the other team barely got on time. As soon as
the team finished getting on the field, the ref blew the whistle and the game began. We started the

Compare And Contrast The Final Kite Scene
Compare and Contrast: Final Kite Scene The book and the movie have several similarities as well as
many differences, this is apparent in the final moments of the book and the movie, there are not
overwhelming amount of differences as the adaptations are very similar, but some of those
differences are the loss of significance of the ending of the scene from the book to the movie, the
lack of explanation of character relations in the movie and the lack of significant flashbacks that are
present in the book unlike in the movie. The most important aspect of this scene in both the book
and the movie is the ending of this scene. This is due to the fact that at the end of the scene, in the
book and the movie there is the aspect of Amir feeling finally liberated from the burden of his past.
The difference here in relies on the fact that the book ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

explains the important of the lopsided smile that Sohrab was giving Amir, also it adds an aspect to

due to the fact that using the symbolism of the seasons which is scene when he says that the seasons

A Quick Review On Reading Skills
A Quick Review
One of the major issues, making it difficult to evaluate How to Read a Book, is that this reviewer did
not have any books in his personal library with which to compare it. Sure, there are websites and
classes one might encounter that will help to improve the person in various aspects their of reading
skills, but too often these mediums seem to be more concerned with rapid and mass consumption
with the least amount of effort to produce an "acceptable" product. The intent in many approaches to
reading is not Adler and Doren's purpose of increased understanding, but is instead merely gaining
information to finalize a project quickly and advance to the next assignment. This is what made this
book not only unique, but also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It moves the reader past merely "what" another thinks about a particular topic, and into higher forms
of learning that develop "why" one thinks the way they do.
Insight Gained from Reading
First, as previously stated, this reviewer's deficient venture into books of this type limited his
understanding of this topic to only personal experience. So, the four types of reading were not only
new, but also very beneficial. This method might be learned through trial–and–error, but the way in
which the book showed the process of reading could save the reader not only much trial, but also
plenty of error.
For example, the amount of time that has been lost by not understanding and being effective in
inspectional reading has probably cost many hours of extra perusing or lost information that would
have formed greater understanding. When inspectional reading is done poorly, this then effects how
one fully digests an author's intent in analytical reading. Or, in regards to syntopical reading, the
final project the reader is seeking to accomplish is often not brought to understanding, but merely a
regurgitation of collected information. The way in which the author interdependently built each
level of reading so

Critical Analysis Of Bartleby The Scrivener
Herman Melville's "Bartleby, the Scrivener" and Willa Cather's "Paul's Case" present the complexity
of both the experience and interpretation of loneliness by providing two antithetical lenses through
which to view the title characters' isolation. The end of "Bartleby, the Scrivener" is consolatory in
nature, for Melville's narrator sympathetically transfigures Bartleby from a symbol of difference to
one of commonality. Melville implies that there is comfort to be sought in placing Bartleby within a
larger picture by emphasizing the narrator's sympathy for and affinity to Bartleby. Conversely, the
final scene in "Paul's Case" is disconsolate, for Cather suggests that the larger design to which Paul
belongs is unsympathetic to his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Alternatively, Cather's "Paul's Case" suggests that an objective, impersonal reading is appropriate by
portraying Paul's story as a "case". The medical connotations associated with the term "case"
distance Paul by implying that the events presented in the narrative are unusual and are
consequently under examination. Thus, the stories differentially emphasize the requirement of a
compassionate reading, as indicated by the language of the titles. It is this incongruity in the stories'
presupposition of readerly sympathy that the endings confirm and use to enhance the authorial
attitudes.
The final scenes of "Bartleby, the Scrivener" and "Paul's Case" affirm the contrasting positions set
up by their titles through their opposing applications of hope, closure, and consolation. In
accordance with Melville's prescription of a sympathetic reading, he indicates that there is hope to
be found at the end of the story. Despite the "amazing thickness" (Melville 536) of the jail walls
within which Bartleby is kept, there is grass that, "by some strange magic" (Melville 536), began
growing. The image of the grass blossoming in a setting that is not conducive to germination
provides hope that something may grow out of the narrator's experience with Bartleby. In fact, the
almost talismanic quality of the blooming grass implies that there may even be hope for Bartleby,
who "by nature and misfortune" (Melville 537) was disposed to a "pallid hopelessness" (Melville
537).

The Final Game Before The Championship
Param Mehta
English 1/2 (3)
Short Story– Rough Draft
The final game before the championship. We had been training for a month now and the gruesome
work had finally paid off. We were more than ready to march on the field and take the
championship. We won our league division and if we won the next game we play then we were
headed to the national championship. Our team had never won the championship and we really
wanted to win it. In the locker room before the game our coach emphatically said, " You boys play
like it is the last game of your career. Nothing should stop you and when you touch the field I want
you to feel like winners. You see that trophy there, that is our trophy and when we go out on the
field we hold our heads high and we fight to win. We are winners and nothing in this world can
stand between us from the trophy." We were jumping up and down trying to get our blood flowing
and when the referees called us on the field.
Beep. The whistle blows. Our coach pumped us up with a great motivational speech to make us play
the hardest we could. We start shaky, however due to a couple of great saves by our goalkeeper we
were still in the game. At half–time it was tied. We stuffed ourselves with oranges before we ran on
the field for the second half. Our team started off very well due to a great speech by our coach and
we gained a monstrous two–zero lead. The win looked inevitable, however, our team got way too
confident and we let in two goals and before we knew it

Summary Of The Short Story 'Michael Vey The Final Spark'
Thematic Essay Richard Paul Evans' fantasy short story, Michael Vey The Final Spark, takes place
in the current world where an expirement gone wrong created 17 electric children. These children
have powers ranging from taking down planes to going excessivly hot. This children were created
by a machine that blew called the MEI. The main character, Micheal, sacrificed himself to save his
friends, the Electroclan, from Hatch, an evil buisnessmen that is trying to take over the world with
his evil Glows (Electric Children). The theme is that you never actually lose someone because of
they always are alive in hearts, minds, and spirit. The theme in Michael Vey The Final Spark is hard
to find. One the other hand there is many clues towards it. One of these hints is in a scene with Ostin
and Jack. These characters are very different. This is because Ostin is a genuis and he knows almost
everything and Jack is a used to be bully, yet both had very good friendships with Micheal. While
sleeping on a resistance's boat, they both had the same dream, Micheal their supposedly dead friend
coming to them in a dream. He tells them that they need to switch coures because the rest of the
rebellion is on a different island. This proves that even though Micheal was gone they will never
lose him. Another example of theme is in the end of the book. This is when Micheal came back to
save all of his friends. ' "Hatch is about to hurt our friends, and I need to stop him" '

Education Reflection
Education is viewed differently for everyone, some think it is the easiest thing to accomplish, others
cannot last more than half an hour in a classroom without feeling lost. In my own experience, I bit
off more than I could chew when I decided to take AP Language. I went into my junior year thinking
I was going to be an amazing student and stay on top of my assignments and once they started
stacking my grade started falling. I thought the class wasn't going to be a challenge for me because I
left my sophomore honors class with an A. Boy was I wrong, half of the time the teacher would
blow my mind with knowledge then leave me in a "what just happened" mental state. I wasn't really
grasping what the teacher was saying. It was not the teacher's fault I just didn't pick up what she was
putting down it was like my mind was shutting down. I got to point where I wanted to drop the
class. I would be in my room trying to think of ways I could drop the class and still stay on track for
my honors diploma. I finally had the guts to go to my counselor to switch classes, but by that time it
was too late. My idiotic prideful self didn't want to go in and get help. until my grade dropped to a
low C. Then I had to choose between life and pride, because my mom wouldn't let me see the light
of day if I brought home a C. When I left the counselor's office, I thought all hope was lost there was
no way in hell I was going to get an A or B in the class. Until Mrs. Cannaday threw a rainbow into

To ensure that all students succeed, constantly checking for understanding is important for knowing
that students understand the material. During work sessions, students are met with individually to

Reflection Paper
The efforts of a group always seem to outshine the work of an individual due to the varying talents
and contribution of each person. And while I have met and worked with some excellent people at
Liberty I have never seen the level of interest and thoughtful argumentation that seems present over
a cup of coffee and in person. My personality type is classified as ENTP. Furthermore, I favor
honest and lively discourse focused on finding the truth and the best (n.d.). Also, I enjoy working
with people, reading, deep study, and discussion. In addition, I have very few annoyances nor do I
feel stressed easily. However, I have been somewhat annoyed with Liberty's methodology regarding
replies. In fact, replies are often required and yet yield little result. When working on a group project
if someone in the group sees an error or an improvement it should be stated kindly and lovingly but
stated none the less. When replies are forced, however people end up choosing small insignificant
issues or larger yet opinion based issues to satisfy the grade. Ultimately, this does not, in my
opinion, represent true academia. Notably, at work, I am a problem solver and innovator. I am a
teacher and have developed several programs for the school. Communication Expectations Frankly
speaking, most people choose online classes for the virtue of time management and availability.
Also, the demands of a career and family make online courses a more desirable option. Furthermore,

Final Write Up: Monopoly
Final Write up – Monopoly
Through the time period of two months we managed to brainstorm, design, and complete or final
project, which was a working monopoly game in processing. The program took a lot of effort and
multiple steps to become workable and enjoyable for those playing it. In this report we will discuss
our program, the design process taken in order to complete the program, the challenges we faced,
the things we have learned, what we would have done differently if we could do it again, and our
future plan for the code.
What is our project?
The game we created was Monopoly. Monopoly is a well–known game around the world which
many people, including us, enjoy. The game has a set of rules which we had to implement using our
knowledge ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We also wrote a lot of pseudo code to come up with the most efficient way to develop our code
before actually writing it.
Selling: Selling was really complicated to implement because we had to read all the properties,
figure out which ones are owed by the current players and if the user was hovering over that
property.
We used a for loop that looped through each property and would check if the users mouse was on
our near that properties coordinates. We then made it grey if they owned it and red if they did not.
We ended up making a cool akgrotime for this code in only 30 lines, instead of a piece of code that
would have contained around 40 if statements (spaghetti code).
Houses
We end up using Object Oriented and inheritance for this part. We also made it much easier by
having the user land on the property to buy a house, rather than buying it whenever, which would
have had us code a drag and drop for the houses. This is something we might add during the summer
(for fun) to make our code much more fun and interactive.
Programming in processing was not an easy shift from using pycharm because the environment is

Informative Statement Of Gatorade
Message: When you drink the sports drink called Gatorade, you will obtain the energy to perform
exceptionally well in athletic sports, without sacrificing any good nutrition since the beverage is low
calories.
Audience: Any athlete who is looking for a form of hydration before, during, or after their
workout/game.
Conditional Form: If you drink Gatorade, then you will have the energy and stamina to succeed in
any fitness activity in a low amount of calories.
Converse: If you have the energy and stamina to succeed in any fitness activity while taking in a low
amount of calories, then you drink Gatorade.
Inverse: If you don't drink Gatorade, then you will not have the energy and stamina to succeed in
any fitness activity with a low amount of calories.
Contrapositive: If you don't have the energy and stamina to succeed in any fitness activity while
intaking a low amount of calories, then you don't drink Gatorade.
Conditional: False, Gatorade will give you enough electrolytes to boost your performance, but not to
the point where it can give a whole new level of skill. Gatorade is more of just a slightly better
"fuel" to the human body, not exactly an enhancer like it advertises. Other sports drinks can contain
little to no calories, as well.
Converse: False, you can simply be a fit person or have great skill at a certain sport to possess the
conditions necessary to find achievement in any type of exercise, with other foods or drinks fueling
your energy.
Inverse: False, there are countless other forms of hydration, most commonly water, that can provide
energy to the human body while only having few calories. Multiple professional athletes today don't
drink Gatorade.
Contrapositive: False, although Gatorade does provide somewhat better hydration than water, but
that's not what this advertisements states. People who do not have the ability to train or compete
well in certain athletics, it could possibly be due to just having general health problems or finding
difficulty in executing the movements necessary to perform sufficiently in that activity. Taking in
less calories from Gatorade doesn't really affect this process, either.
Gatorade's message in this advertisement and many of their others I feel are

What Is The Ultimate Gift Essay
The Ultimate Gift "You make a living by what you get; you make a life by what you give," said
Winston Churchill, and as I grew up, my mother lived by that quote. She always told me that I
should be kind and to give back, even when others weren't. I like to think that I'm kind and I gave
back to the community when I could, but I never truly knew how much it meant to the ones I was
giving to until my very last english assignment during my senior year of high school. it was the
beginning of may, 8:40 AM, and i was sitting at a table surrounded by a great group of friends. we
were planning a day to get together as a group and decorate our caps for graduation considering the
days were rushing by and we were beginning to run out of time. class had just started and mrs. fox,

i remember kids groaning and i rolled my eyes. i mean, come on, there's only two weeks left of
school for seniors and she's assigning us a whole new book and an assignment. as always, she
smirked when we tried to talk her out of it, but to no appeal, she began to walk around the classroom
and explain our final project. it didn't sound all that tough, just read the book in the next two to three
days and then the final project will be given. three days of reading in class passed and mrs. fox was
standing at her podium once again. she had a small box full of envelopes sitting on the top and a
bright smile across her face. when the final bell rang, she started to pass out the envelopes. "no
peeking," she said as she handed the envelope to me, but i remember clearly seeing the the $10 bill
through the thin paper. if you haven't read the ultimate gift, it's about a boy named jason steves who
is on his way to inherit one billion dollars from his great uncle, red stevens; however, in order to
claim his money, he must go through multiple steps that will help him understand the many virtues
his great uncle wanted him to have. for our final assignment, we had to understand

My First Ever Mile Race
Once the starter calls, "Runners on your mark...set...," my mind goes into a different zone. The gun
erupts but silences the nerves. Immediately following the gun, the crowd explodes with cheer. A
pack of track runners furiously take off from the starting line. We are beginning a four lap race of
hell, the mile. Throughout the course of my high school career, this exciting scene became very
familiar to me. I always look forward to track season, and running the mile is by far my favorite
event. To me, there is something about the event that makes it magical. While running the mile, to
achieve my goals, I always focused on a strategy my coach told me before my first ever mile race.
He called the strategy the four P's of the mile. To run a successful mile, one must follow the four
step process of pushing, pacing, positioning, and persevering. The mile race originated in England
during the 1800's. It was used as the standard distance for gambling races. Eventually, the mile race
soon became known as "The Mile" near the end of the 19th century when professional foot racing
became the most popular sport in England. As time continued, track and field spread across the
world, and the mile was the main event. For the next century, it was a mystery if a human could run
a sub four minute mile. Eventually, in 1954, Roger Bannister became the first man to do so. In many
opinions, no running distance or field event, has the history, the appeal, or the "magic" of the mile.

  • 1. Personal Reflection Of Personal Writing Hi Professor Savage, You mention in your email quite a few references to my writing having some serious issues, yet in the grading not one example was pointed out––. I ask that if you believe the same applies to any part of the draft submission that you highlight at least the one that will explain any significant point deduction. More, importantly, I would like to know exactly where I can use improvements, plus I prefer clarity as to where and/or why points were taken off in this class. Sometimes stylistic choice is mistaken for poor writing or incoherent or illogical as you suggested. I have not come across any professor that has said so much about my writing (negatively) and not offer any example. A link in this case is not exactly the solution for all that was implied. Anyhow, my main goal is to focus on where I can fix it myself, so please. show where, next time–thanks. You said, "The essay is not intended to be a personal reflection or a guide for writers but rather an advocacy for an idea." The journal and notes came across reflective, well, because they're preliminary tools, the scaffold to the final, right. I understand the draft and final are 3rd POV, backed by annotation, and my opinion as well, but not delivered as a personal narrative. The "backstory" was merely to show I am speaking from some experience. We cannot advocate what we don't understand, sure credible annotations are needed, but self–publishing is a hands–on approach, therefore, subjective, too. I'm concerned about a few things, and then again, not so much knowing all these assignments leading to the actual final submission are meant to serve us as a form of outline–the chaos, ironed– out. As you must be aware brainstorming can happen at any stage. However, I do have a few comments on some changes you suggested (thanks) and those I have in mind. You said, "concisely,", and I assure you my aim for the final, I don't worry too much at these stages, as I will rigorously edit, revise and chisel–away from the draft, and then polish for the final. Furthermore, incorporate any feedback if given and are applicable from the workshop and your grading notes. I'm not fond of MindEdge's outline approach, but I do get the gist, while still using what ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Video Episodes View the videos in the weekly Video Episodes section. Team Assignments Team Video Analysis Report In preparation for preparing and submitting the team's Final Project, each week you will create your own consultant's notes as you observe various CanGo meetings (via the video episodes/cases). For the week 4 Team report you are to list 6 issues facing CanGo that you gleaned from the week 3 and 4 videos. They should be prioritized in order of importance. They should be numbered. The team must then come up with an actionable recommendation for each of the issues found. These should also be numbered. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A significant part of the information you will use will come from the Video Episodes and Lectures that you are reviewing each week. What it takes includes your working together via the iConnect venue, Team Discussions, and individual efforts – all coming together as team efforts. Be sure to use the skills and talents each of you has – from your education programs and/or work experience and learning materials. The synergy and success in your completing the Final Project will make a huge difference in these deliverables. Work together, uncover what you do (as well as do not) know about CanGo and your recommendations, and be prepared for the rewards of efforts that will demonstrate your future successes in this course, at work, with charities, and in your personal lives. • 6. Groupwork Reflection Background Groupwork is considered one of the important parts in Business Analytics, no matter in professional study or in working career. To provide the similar experience, the business analytics course in UNSW had set a groupwork task to analyze the business blueprint for internet of thing (IoT) in different business domain. This individual reflection will basically show the experience got from this groupwork process. Overview of Team's Groupwork Journey Once formed, the team had started the planning of the whole IoT groupwork, which mainly consists of group assignment and presentation. Following the requirement of lecturer, the team firstly discussed the possible domains that might broadly apply IoT technology and sent an e–mail to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Strengths & Difficulties During the process of working on the group assignment and presentation, it is observed that the team has shown some good features of teamworking, which helped us to finish the groupwork task in a higher quality and efficiency. These features might include: Schedule Planning and Management. One of the good points for the team is to process the work schedule with flexibility and conscientiousness. For instance, before taking the first group meeting, the team members had shared class and working timetables so that the team could find the meeting time that all team members are available and ensure the quality of meeting. Moreover, when booking the room at meeting time, the team will book rooms for two more hours in case that the problem might not be solved in the scheduled meeting time, which provides high flexibility for the team. Information Share & Analysis. Another good point for the team is to share the information and make analysis for multiple parts. Instead of fully distributing assignment parts to each member, the team shared all the cases as well as articles found to one independent folder, then thoroughly discussed the possibility to apply these cases in different parts. Thus, the final group assignment had shown high consistency on the content and the overall quality of our groupwork had been ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 10. Essay On Swartdogs Competition The FIRST Iowa Regional Robotics Competition was held in the UNI Dome and McLeod Center just a few weeks ago, from March 23 through March 25. FIRST is all about combining science, technology and fun. High school students work in teams to design robots and complete complicated tasks under strict regulations in just six weeks. The competition offers a taste of real–world engineering as students are challenged to build a team and brand, enhance teamwork skills, raise funds, build and program a robot, form strategic alliances and compete against tough competition. On the last day of the competition, Saturday March 25, events started at 8:00 a.m. After a brief opening ceremony with the guest speaker, UNI President Mark Nook, the qualifying matches ... Though the Swartdogs didn't win the regional title this year, they are an incredibly successful team. In their 18–year history they have been regional winners 12 times and received numerous team awards. This year, the Swartdogs won the Creativity Award sponsored by Xerox, won their second Volunteer of the Year award and their fifth Woodie Flowers Award for outstanding team mentors. The last semifinal match was truly a show–stopper. The two alliances were so determined to make it into the final match that they tied their semifinal match six times! When a tie takes place there are certain point categories with more weight to decide the winner. However, the alliances were fighting so hard that their scores were identical six times in a row. This semifinal wowed the judges and the fans, and was an emotional rollercoaster right before the final match. When the tiebreakers were settled, the final two alliances faced off for the regional title. After the crazy semifinal battle, the atmosphere was intense. In the end the Blue Alliance emerged victorious and teams 2410 from Overland Park, Kansas, 5690 from Esko, Minnesota, and 4506 from Saint Paul, Minnesota were declared the ... • 12. How to Sharpen Hockey Skates Essay The most important part of a hockey player's gear is their skates. To be more precise the blades on the skates are the most important, because that is what is in contact with the ice to allow the player to generate traction to move around the ice with ease. So the equipment manager or anyone else who has the job of sharpens someone's hockey skates need to have the knowledge to be able to sharpen someone skates perfectly. They have to know the correct process to sharpen skates to perfection every time. The process is very simple as long as you can follow this procedure to ensure perfection in the skate sharpening. Initially we check the blades for any imperfections, so that they can be eliminated to make less of a problem later on in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Dressing the finish wheel is of utmost importance to ensure that the skates have parallel edges and a good hollow. The next step of the process is to start sharpening the skate blades. First you clamp the skate in the clamp with the toe to the front of the clamp, and then lock the blade in tightly. Next slowly slide the skate across the wheel being sure not to over rounding the toe and heel of blade too much. Complete this step about 10 times for a blade that has not first gone over the cross grinding wheel. For a blade that has gone across the cross grinding wheel do this step until the cross grinding marks are gone. Then unclamp and do the same to the second skate blade. As soon as you finish the number of passes on the skates you check the blade of levelness or parallel edges on both sides of the blade. You do this step by setting the gauge in the front, middle, and back of the skate if the gray line on the level, is level all the way across go on to the final step. If the edges are unlevel when you put the gauge, on you must figure out if the knobs on the clamp have to be turned up or down in the front or the back or both. To do this you look at which side the gray line is showing more of if it shows more on the left side when the gauge is on the front you turn the knob down in the front of the clamp and vice versa for the back. The Final Solution from Witnesses to the Holocaust The years of 1941 and 1942 paint a vivid description of ugly, taking place events too hard to take in, and the death of 6 million innocent people. The Final Solution in an excerpt from Witnesses to the Holocaust: An Oral History, where Sam Bankhalter and Hinda Kibort detail their horrifying account of Hitler's rash and day to day life in the Nazi concentration camps where they were imprisoned. The Final Solution was a plan systematically matriculated by the Nazi to exterminate European Jews by placing them in work camps designed for certain death. Sam Bankhalter was just fourteen at the time when he was captured by the Nazis in his native land of Poland and exiled to Auschwitz. In a detailed account he paints the picture of life as a Jew during Hitler's fury and the unimaginable accounts of terror that occurred. According to Bankhalter, racism of European Jews was already occurring in Poland even before Hitler invaded, and their slogan was "Jew get out of here and go to Palestine." He accounts of being beaten and spit on the school grounds on a daily basis, long before Hitler invaded. Bankhalter describes his journey to the ghetto as laced with barbed wire and Nazi mocking Jews cutting off men's beards and beating them as they yelled at the Jews to assemble. The Nazi's only gave them about twenty minutes to pack, leaving them time to only gather the necessities, which would only be stripped from them later. The final scene of Act 1 in Arthur Miller's 'A View From The Bridge' demonstrates dramatic tension in a variety of different ways. It is made fairly clear from the final moments of the act when Alfieri returns to the stage that the play will end in tragedy. Miller shows this through dialogue between the characters and in the plentiful stage directions with which he liberally sprinkles the text. There is a range of conflict present in the scene. The central conflict however, involves Eddie's unacknowledged jealousy towards Rodolfo; this is the strongest. The above dispute is clearly visible when ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Alfieri's interlude, between Eddie leaving his office and the lights coming up on the apartment behind, indicates quite clearly the play will end in tragedy. Alfieri says "I could see every step coming, step after step, like a dark figure walking down a hall toward a certain door". He adds that he even asked an old, wise woman what she thought he should do. The answer she gave was "pray for him". It is obvious that Eddie is extremely vulnerable. Alfieri guesses how Eddie feels for Catherine and gently suggests that he needs to let go. Unfortunately Eddie cannot bring himself to admit that he loves Catherine like Beatrice and therefore does not benefit from Alfieri's advice. He reacts "furiously". He desperately tries to invent problems in his mind why Rodolfo cannot marry Catherine because deep down he is jealous. The next section of the scene opens with the family finishing dinner. Other tensions become more apparent in this scene. A prime example is that between Eddie and Beatrice. Their conflict is made apparent as Beatrice desperately tries to keep the conversation going, sensing Eddie's growing anger. Instead of trying to suppress his annoyance at Rodolfo he erupts at the cousins and scorns Beatrice. "Sure. How you gonna catch sardines on a hook?" Everything that Rodolfo says during this scene, Eddie takes the wrong way. I think this partly due to their very different personalities. For example Eddie looks out for his

  • 30. Final Fantasy XII : The Zodcraft And Gaming EX When Final Fantasy XII released for PlayStation 2 in early 2006, the game sought to introduce a new style of play and to revolutionize the long–running franchise. To achieve this extraordinary task, Square Enix had to break the conventions of Final Fantasy – like by introducing a real–time combat system, and bet on an original and risky concept. In the end, the gamble paid off and Final Fantasy XII was a success; however, the title quickly became a divisive topic of conversation amidst the gaming community. With a decade having passed since the original release, many of the Final Fantasy XII's revolutionary ideas are now commonplace in the RPG genre. What was new and strange to us in 2006 is now a gaming standard, and that makes 2017 the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The core of Final Fantasy XII remains the same, but refinements make The Zodiac Age a more enjoyable journey when compared to the original release. The first thing people will notice are the improved visuals. Character models have been improved, as well as towns and outdoor environments. Though some of the texture work looks flat, the visual upgrade is quite impressive. The second thing people will notice is the revamped soundtrack. Final Fantasy has a longstanding tradition of producing masterful soundtracks, and the music for Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is among the best the series has to offer. Arguably, the most substantial improvement is found in the newly refined and streamlined approach given the game's job system. The License Board of Final Fantasy XII was clumsy and a source of frustration, but it has been improved in The Zodiac Age. Final Fantasy XII provided all six characters with identical License Board, but that has been changed for the better. The License Board now differs for each job; thus allowing the player to select skills and other upgrades with ease. This may sound like a minor alteration, but simplifying the job system permits the player to make changes more quickly and not become bogged down by a convoluted system. A welcome addition presented in the game is the option to increase the game's speed. If you are familiar with the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 34. Recounting In The Film 'Every Secret Thing' The syuzhet in the first few scenes of Every Secret Thing omits and distorts the events surrounding Olivia's kidnapping and murder in order to frame Ronnie as a criminal and Alice as an innocent girl. By doing this, the syuzhet creates several suppressed gaps which get filled by the enacted recounting later on. Numerous occurrences at the start of the film establish Alice and Ronnie's conflicting personalities. At the pool party, Alice tries to fit in with the other girls, albeit unsuccessfully. Meanwhile, Ronnie sits alone, not even bothering to try to befriend the other girls. Ronnie then slaps one girl's mother, and gets kicked out of the pool party. While walking back home, Ronnie steals baby Olivia. These scenes give a strong first impression ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This state of confusion ends definitively with the final scenes of the film, when the syuzhet reveals the true fabula in a final set of flashbacks. While killing herself in a bathtub, Ronnie has her final flashback. This flashback shows Olivia's death for the first time. The syuzhet reveals that Olivia was not directly murdered by Ronnie, but rather died from a simple lack of care. This flashback again shows Alice bullying and threatening Ronnie. The final shot of the film reveals the truth of Olivia's kidnapping definitively. In this shot, Alice as a child stands in place of Ronnie, looking down at Olivia before stealing her. This confirms that Alice stole Olivia, not Ronnie. This shot is not a flashback from a specific character in the film, but rather it is the syuzhet giving a direct look at the true fabula event. Since this shot is not being recounted by any character, it is safe to trust, since no bias could possibly exist. This last shot finalizes the reversal of the expectations set up in the first half of the film. Ronnie was the more normal girl, pushed into cooperating with a bully due to a drastic set of ... Jamestown Pest Analysis Mounties comfortably ran down the clock in the last 10 minutes – as Belrose frittered away the few chances they had left – to earn a week off and send Belrose into a sudden death semi final with East Campbelltown this Sunday. East Campbelltown booked their semi final place after surviving a massive scare from Cabramatta before eventually being too good for the Two Blues 38–26 in the first Elimination Final at Campbelltown Stadium last Sunday. The Two Blues – who scraped into eighth spot in the last round of the regular season – came out breathing fire in taking it right up to the Eagles. Winger Jake Webb got Cabra off to the best possible start in the just the fifth minute when he scored the opening try in the corner. Mikaera Ormsby converted and the Two Blues led 6–nil. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Webb completed his double 12 minutes later, and Ormsby's third straight conversion gave Cabra a shock 18–nil lead over a non plussed Eagles outfit. East Campbelltown got to hang on to the ball late in the first half and converted their possession into points. Sean Connor got the Eagles on the board 10 minutes out from half time with their first major, before former Wests Tigers NYC half Wade Dunley started and finished a second phase move through multiple hands to have East Campbelltown within striking distance at onlhy 18–12 down at the break after Ben Baker converted both first half tries. Dunley then completed his double in the first set of six tackles from the kickoff to the second half to level scores at 18–all with another Baker conversion. Webb landed a penalty goal 13 minutes into the second half to regain the lead for the Two Blues at 20–18, before a Cabramatta turnover from the restart allowed the Eagles the opportunity for honest second rower Ronny Palumbo to score. It begins out by what the author "dreams about final exams" (1). Oddly, what she sees in her dream is "two monkeys, chained to the floor" (2). The poem is about the human conditions in different settings of mankind. The monkeys are the things that of the poets dream about the exam. The monkeys are a symbol of the suffering of mankind–based on the chains–through the unpredictable events. As said in the last stanza, "One monkey stares and listens with a mocking disdain" (7), while "the other seems to be dreaming away" (8). The poem is full of metaphors that get the reader thinking about what it means in respect to what the author is addressing. Reality has junctions in which one is peaceful while the other is harsh. In the poem "Brueghel's Two Monkeys" by Wislawa Szymborska, we will look at representation of human condition in a certain event. We will examine the human conditions through exams, history, and solution. In the poem, when it comes to exams it shows a great deal of decision making. In the first stanza of the poem it show a significantly note of assessment. The part where the two monkeys were "chained to the floor, sit on the windowsill" (2), the line after states "the sky behind them flutters" (3). The monkeys are being assessed in beginning of the poem. The part of where the monkeys "sit on the windowsill" (2) illustrates the idea of whether one should stay in the position of where ... I got really angry and annoyed at the same time because I hate getting woken up for some stupid reason. But then he called me to tell me that we had a soccer game at 7:30 am. I got out my bed and said, "On my way!" I hung up the phone and ran to the bathroom to take a quick shower, as soon as I got out the bathroom I got into my room to get all of my stuff ready. I put on my socks, my really tight shorts that I don't really enjoy wearing and my jersey with the number 17 on it. I got my stuff and gave my mom a goodbye kiss. I ran as fast as possible and got on the 35th bus to get to the soccer field in Alianza. It wasn't my favorite place to play at since the turf felt like carpet, but anywhere I can play soccer I'm happy. I got there at 7:20, 10 minutes before the game which was enough time to stretch. It was the quarter finals to go to semis, and we were all excited especially me since it was my second year playing soccer. We all got into the field and put on our gear. Compare And Contrast The Final Kite Scene Compare and Contrast: Final Kite Scene The book and the movie have several similarities as well as many differences, this is apparent in the final moments of the book and the movie, there are not overwhelming amount of differences as the adaptations are very similar, but some of those differences are the loss of significance of the ending of the scene from the book to the movie, the lack of explanation of character relations in the movie and the lack of significant flashbacks that are present in the book unlike in the movie. The most important aspect of this scene in both the book and the movie is the ending of this scene. A Quick Review On Reading Skills A Quick Review One of the major issues, making it difficult to evaluate How to Read a Book, is that this reviewer did not have any books in his personal library with which to compare it. Sure, there are websites and classes one might encounter that will help to improve the person in various aspects their of reading skills, but too often these mediums seem to be more concerned with rapid and mass consumption with the least amount of effort to produce an "acceptable" product. The intent in many approaches to reading is not Adler and Doren's purpose of increased understanding, but is instead merely gaining information to finalize a project quickly and advance to the next assignment. It moves the reader past merely "what" another thinks about a particular topic, and into higher forms of learning that develop "why" one thinks the way they do. Insight Gained from Reading First, as previously stated, this reviewer's deficient venture into books of this type limited his understanding of this topic to only personal experience. So, the four types of reading were not only new, but also very beneficial. This method might be learned through trial–and–error, but the way in which the book showed the process of reading could save the reader not only much trial, but also plenty of error. For example, the amount of time that has been lost by not understanding and being effective in inspectional reading has probably cost many hours of extra perusing or lost information that would have formed greater understanding. When inspectional reading is done poorly, this then effects how one fully digests an author's intent in analytical reading. Or, in regards to syntopical reading, the final project the reader is seeking to accomplish is often not brought to understanding, but merely a regurgitation of collected information. Critical Analysis Of Bartleby The Scrivener Herman Melville's "Bartleby, the Scrivener" and Willa Cather's "Paul's Case" present the complexity of both the experience and interpretation of loneliness by providing two antithetical lenses through which to view the title characters' isolation. The end of "Bartleby, the Scrivener" is consolatory in nature, for Melville's narrator sympathetically transfigures Bartleby from a symbol of difference to one of commonality. Melville implies that there is comfort to be sought in placing Bartleby within a larger picture by emphasizing the narrator's sympathy for and affinity to Bartleby. Conversely, the final scene in "Paul's Case" is disconsolate, for Cather suggests that the larger design to which Paul belongs is unsympathetic to his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Alternatively, Cather's "Paul's Case" suggests that an objective, impersonal reading is appropriate by portraying Paul's story as a "case". The medical connotations associated with the term "case" distance Paul by implying that the events presented in the narrative are unusual and are consequently under examination. Thus, the stories differentially emphasize the requirement of a compassionate reading, as indicated by the language of the titles. It is this incongruity in the stories' presupposition of readerly sympathy that the endings confirm and use to enhance the authorial attitudes. The final scenes of "Bartleby, the Scrivener" and "Paul's Case" affirm the contrasting positions set up by their titles through their opposing applications of hope, closure, and consolation. In accordance with Melville's prescription of a sympathetic reading, he indicates that there is hope to be found at the end of the story. Despite the "amazing thickness" (Melville 536) of the jail walls within which Bartleby is kept, there is grass that, "by some strange magic" (Melville 536), began growing. The image of the grass blossoming in a setting that is not conducive to germination provides hope that something may grow out of the narrator's experience with Bartleby. In fact, the almost talismanic quality of the blooming grass implies that there may even be hope for Bartleby, who "by nature and misfortune" (Melville 537) was disposed to a "pallid hopelessness" (Melville 537). ... You see that trophy there, that is our trophy and when we go out on the field we hold our heads high and we fight to win. We are winners and nothing in this world can stand between us from the trophy." We were jumping up and down trying to get our blood flowing and when the referees called us on the field. Beep. The whistle blows. Our coach pumped us up with a great motivational speech to make us play the hardest we could. We start shaky, however due to a couple of great saves by our goalkeeper we were still in the game. At half–time it was tied. We stuffed ourselves with oranges before we ran on the field for the second half. Our team started off very well due to a great speech by our coach and we gained a monstrous two–zero lead. Summary Of The Short Story 'Michael Vey The Final Spark' Thematic Essay Richard Paul Evans' fantasy short story, Michael Vey The Final Spark, takes place in the current world where an expirement gone wrong created 17 electric children. The theme is that you never actually lose someone because of they always are alive in hearts, minds, and spirit. The theme in Michael Vey The Final Spark is hard to find. One the other hand there is many clues towards it. One of these hints is in a scene with Ostin and Jack. These characters are very different. This is because Ostin is a genuis and he knows almost everything and Jack is a used to be bully, yet both had very good friendships with Micheal. While sleeping on a resistance's boat, they both had the same dream, Micheal their supposedly dead friend coming to them in a dream. He tells them that they need to switch coures because the rest of the rebellion is on a different island. This proves that even though Micheal was gone they will never lose him. Education Reflection Education is viewed differently for everyone, some think it is the easiest thing to accomplish, others cannot last more than half an hour in a classroom without feeling lost. In my own experience, I bit off more than I could chew when I decided to take AP Language. I went into my junior year thinking I was going to be an amazing student and stay on top of my assignments and once they started stacking my grade started falling. I thought the class wasn't going to be a challenge for me because I left my sophomore honors class with an A. Boy was I wrong, half of the time the teacher would blow my mind with knowledge then leave me in a "what just happened" mental state. I wasn't really grasping what the teacher was saying. It was not the teacher's fault I just didn't pick up what she was putting down it was like my mind was shutting down. I got to point where I wanted to drop the class. I would be in my room trying to think of ways I could drop the class and still stay on track for my honors diploma. I finally had the guts to go to my counselor to switch classes, but by that time it was too late. My idiotic prideful self didn't want to go in and get help. until my grade dropped to a low C. Then I had to choose between life and pride, because my mom wouldn't let me see the light of day if I brought home a C. When I left the counselor's office, I thought all hope was lost there was no way in hell I was going to get an A or B in the class. Until Mrs. Cannaday threw a rainbow into ... Students are also given written directions for each worksheet. All students have ample time to develop sketches and decide on a design that matches the student's levels of difficulty. Student may use the Internet for reference images to assist with drawing. To help the students in the MD program, they are given procedures to follow and directions are broken down into simple steps. I have the students complete each step before moving onto the next step. The students not in the MD program are given the written direction for the assignment and are allowed to proceed at their own pace. To ensure that all students succeed, constantly checking for understanding is important for knowing that students understand the material. During work sessions, students are met with individually to see their progress. I keep mental notes of the students who may be struggling, and put in effort to meet with them more often. To check for understanding, I ask open–ened questions that require the students to recall and repeat the information learned. The worksheets allow students to demonstrate their knowledge and feedback is written on each student's worksheet. Feedback is both positive and constructive, so that students know what they did correctly, and what they can improve on. • 70. Reflection Paper The efforts of a group always seem to outshine the work of an individual due to the varying talents and contribution of each person. And while I have met and worked with some excellent people at Liberty I have never seen the level of interest and thoughtful argumentation that seems present over a cup of coffee and in person. My personality type is classified as ENTP. Furthermore, I favor honest and lively discourse focused on finding the truth and the best (n.d.). Also, I enjoy working with people, reading, deep study, and discussion. In addition, I have very few annoyances nor do I feel stressed easily. However, I have been somewhat annoyed with Liberty's methodology regarding replies. In fact, replies are often required and yet yield little result. When working on a group project if someone in the group sees an error or an improvement it should be stated kindly and lovingly but stated none the less. When replies are forced, however people end up choosing small insignificant issues or larger yet opinion based issues to satisfy the grade. Ultimately, this does not, in my opinion, represent true academia. Notably, at work, I am a problem solver and innovator. I am a teacher and have developed several programs for the school. Communication Expectations Frankly speaking, most people choose online classes for the virtue of time management and availability. Also, the demands of a career and family make online courses a more desirable option. Furthermore, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 75. Final Write Up: Monopoly Final Write up – Monopoly Through the time period of two months we managed to brainstorm, design, and complete or final project, which was a working monopoly game in processing. The program took a lot of effort and multiple steps to become workable and enjoyable for those playing it. In this report we will discuss our program, the design process taken in order to complete the program, the challenges we faced, the things we have learned, what we would have done differently if we could do it again, and our future plan for the code. What is our project? The game we created was Monopoly. Monopoly is a well–known game around the world which many people, including us, enjoy. The game has a set of rules which we had to implement using our knowledge ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We also wrote a lot of pseudo code to come up with the most efficient way to develop our code before actually writing it. Selling: Selling was really complicated to implement because we had to read all the properties, figure out which ones are owed by the current players and if the user was hovering over that property. We used a for loop that looped through each property and would check if the users mouse was on our near that properties coordinates. We then made it grey if they owned it and red if they did not. We ended up making a cool akgrotime for this code in only 30 lines, instead of a piece of code that would have contained around 40 if statements (spaghetti code). Houses We end up using Object Oriented and inheritance for this part. We also made it much easier by having the user land on the property to buy a house, rather than buying it whenever, which would have had us code a drag and drop for the houses. This is something we might add during the summer (for fun) to make our code much more fun and interactive. What Is The Ultimate Gift Essay The Ultimate Gift "You make a living by what you get; you make a life by what you give," said Winston Churchill, and as I grew up, my mother lived by that quote. She always told me that I should be kind and to give back, even when others weren't. I like to think that I'm kind and I gave back to the community when I could, but I never truly knew how much it meant to the ones I was giving to until my very last english assignment during my senior year of high school. it was the beginning of may, 8:40 AM, and i was sitting at a table surrounded by a great group of friends. we were planning a day to get together as a group and decorate our caps for graduation considering the days were rushing by and we were beginning to run out of time. class had just started and mrs. fox, my senior ... • 85. My First Ever Mile Race Once the starter calls, "Runners on your mark...set...," my mind goes into a different zone. The gun erupts but silences the nerves. Immediately following the gun, the crowd explodes with cheer. A pack of track runners furiously take off from the starting line. We are beginning a four lap race of hell, the mile. Throughout the course of my high school career, this exciting scene became very familiar to me. I always look forward to track season, and running the mile is by far my favorite event. To me, there is something about the event that makes it magical. While running the mile, to achieve my goals, I always focused on a strategy my coach told me before my first ever mile race. He called the strategy the four P's of the mile. To run a successful mile, one must follow the four step process of pushing, pacing, positioning, and persevering. The mile race originated in England during the 1800's. It was used as the standard distance for gambling races. Eventually, the mile race soon became known as "The Mile" near the end of the 19th century when professional foot racing became the most popular sport in England. As time continued, track and field spread across the world, and the mile was the main event. For the next century, it was a mystery if a human could run a sub four minute mile. Eventually, in 1954, Roger Bannister became the first man to do so. In many opinions, no running distance or field event, has the history, the appeal, or the "magic" of the mile. On an outdoor ...
