in the research and

2. YouTube and Artist’s Websites
I have used a lot of media technologies throughout the media
process such as during my research and planning and
especially for the making of my video. I have used youtube
frequently to get references from other videos to inspire me and
pick up ideas from other music videos to maybe use in my own.
I have also used my chosen artist’s ‘Jeffrey James’ website to
look up names of this other songs to incorporate them into my
digipak and to look up the lyrics of some of his songs to help
my star learn them when lip synching and to also corporate
them into my digipak as well.

3. Photoshop
I have used photoshop effectively to create my advert and digipak. I used several
techniques such as layering and layer masking. I have learnt how to add and
download fonts to use in photoshop and how to resize photos effectively and to
edit the effects on the images I used to adjust the exposure and contrast to make
certain elements stand out.
When using photoshop to create my digipak I wanted to make it look as
conventional as possible. This meant including the lyrics of some of our chosen
artist’s songs for audience to follow along to. Although I really like this idea and
think that it works effectively, it was very hard to choose a certain colour of font
that stood out against the background. Therefore some of the font used in my
digipak doesn’t stand out as well as I would have liked.

4. FinalmyCutand have learnt how to delete

I used final cut pro to create
video
the sound from my video so that you can hear my chosen song. I
also had to make sure I lined up the lip synching shots so that it fitted
in with the song and was in line with each other. I also had to make
sure that for my rhythmic editing that the shots were the right length
and fitted together properly. I also colour corrected each shot so that
things stood out such as the studio shots I made the background a lot
whiter so that my star stood out more against the white background. I
also tried changing all the shots of me in my video to black and white
however I didn’t think it worked very well so I had to change it back
but this helped me learn and develop my knowledge of how to use
final cut.

5. Other Uses Of Media
I have used ‘Blogger’ throughout to update my progress and
research onto my blog to help me keep track of my process
and how I have created my outcomes and how successful
they have been.
The lighting I have used has been presented when I took
the images of my star for the digipak front cover and I used
lighting during my video in the studio shots.
I learnt how to add in an mp3 correctly and as I used a
DSLR camera to film my video I had to learn how to use to
conversion tools so that my files would work correctly in
Final Cut.
