1. Q6: WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT
ABOUT TECHNOLOGIES
FROM THE PROCESS OF
CONSTRUCTING THIS
PRODUCT?
2. During the construction of the product the technologies I have learnt
are;
Using the Serif Movie to edit my videos , this is because I put all the
videos together to do the shot reverse shots and 180 degree rule
learning how to use this made the video flow and look professional.
To edit and put the videos together I also learnt how to use the ‘Trim’
tool which cropped some of the video down.
I have used framing by cropping some of the videos so the audience
know where the actors are for example mine are in a room and you
know this because I have used a mid-shot of Malaya the female
teenager and the male teenager talking at a 180 degree angle.
However I used the crop tool in Movie Serif because you could see
the bottom half of the casts body and it's not really a mid-shot if legs
are seen as well as this it helped ensuring that the main focus is
always central.. Using the crop tool also helped me when shortening
the audio sounds as well
3. I have learnt how to apply text, change the colour and font of the text
clip over the videos; this helped me a lot from when I was adding text
clips for the appearing titles throughout the product. Changing the
colour, size and font made it more appealing for my audience members
and I did this so they could see the text clearly.
I have used fonts for titles by creating a variety of them in Photoshop. I
did a variety of them so I could get a idea of what title would be suitable
for my genre and product. As well as this I used the fonts on the Movie
Serif so it was easier and less time consuming.
For my production logo I used Photoshop and I added a simple light
bulb logo from one of the shapes icon in the panel and then from this I
filled the light bulb with the colour yellow so it symbolises bright ideas
and this is how I created my production company logo. After this in
phosphor I used its font’s text to type the name in a type writing font.
4. I used sound audio from using YouTube videos and sending the links to
myself so I could transfer them into my video this made the ending of
the opening sequence look real as it was a audio clip of someone
crying. I also had the sound of Malaya wincing at her bruise so it
makes it more intense for the audience as it seems painless so this
creates realism in the opening sequence.
As well as learning skills of video editing software i have also used time
management and organisation by using my own time after school on
Wednesdays and Thursday's to edit my product in order to make sure
it looks professional and how I imagined it to be when planning the
video.
I've also learnt how to use Weebly, I learnt how to transfer documents
and the embedded code for the videos on different pages. I also learnt
how to change the blogs theme and fonts so I could personalise it
myself.
5. With the camera I learnt how to zoom in on some scenes so it could be a
close up shot. I leant that I needed a tripod to keep the camera steady, as
well as this I learnt how to do different angles such as the mid shot, close
up, panning, tracking ect.
