English?

efecto del inglés?
The effect of English is the impact or negative influence this 
language has had above other languages, in other words, 
English is destroying more than half of the languages in the world, 
is for this reason that linguist David Crystal warns (in a widely-quoted 
phrase), if, in 500 years, English is the only language left 
to be learnt, “it will have been the greatest intellectual disaster 
that the planet has ever known”. Due, when a language dies, it 
can’t be resurrected and it loss takes with it culture and customs 
and way of seeing the world through its use of metaphor, idiom 
and grammatical structuring.
Why does Crystal assert that the 
English will end with other languages?

inglés acabará con otras lenguas?
Crystal says that English will end with other languages because; first English 
is a dominant language. Second, people increasingly learn English to get a 
better quality of life. Third, other languages are having imported words of 
English and mixed with his language. Fourth, hegemonic position of English 
necessarily implies linguistic and cultural discrimination of large sectors of 
the population, reducing the participation of other languages in different 
sphere, such as world trade, international organizations, scientific 
production and education itself. Fifth, globalization has promoted language 
policies that aim to end the use of major and subordinate national 
languages in the European Union. Finally, Crystal believes that hegemony 
of English in various spheres, including the Internet, is inevitable, and the 
result of a series of historical circumstances that have led to the spread of 
the language.
He speaks of powers, as admits that "a 
language becomes a global language 
through a unique reason: the power of the 
people who speak it." The powers 
mentioned by Crystal are: political power 
exercised by England in the sixteenth 
century colonialism; technological power of 
England as a result of the Industrial 
Revolution in the eighteenth and nineteenth 
centuries; growth of American economic 
power in the nineteenth century; and 
cultural power through spheres of influence, 
mainly American. It is for these reasons that 
English will end with other languages.

What is Kachru’s Circle? 
¿Qué es el Kachru’s Circle
El Kachru’s circle is a circle that 
described the world of English in three 
parts. The first circle called Inner circle 
includes countries such as Britain, USA, 
Australia, etc. Where English is consider 
as the primary language. The second is 
the outer circle where English is consider 
as a second language. This circle 
includes countries such as India, Nigeri, 
Singapore, etc. Finally, the expanding 
circle where English is learnt as foreign 
language. It Includes countries such as 
Poland, Japan, Mexico, Hungary, etc.

Knowledge of his culture, 
it has better 
pronunciation and 
grammar, it's more 
resourceful, it motivates 
easily to students.

native English teacher?

profesor nativo del inglés?
He should lower his 
vocabulary to the same level 
that the students (context), 
students understand little his 
English, he has little 
knowledge of the new culture 
(in some cases), he 
understands little what the 
students want to say him.
What are the advantages of a 
non-native English teacher?

profesor no nativo del inglés?
He has knowledge of their own culture, he 
lowers his level vocabulary of students without 
any problems, he has knowledge of the 
management of content by students, has good 
relationships with students by being natives of 
the same language.
What are the disadvantages of 
a non-native English teacher?

profesor no nativo del inglés?
He has little motivation to 
students, aspects such as 
speaking and grammar will not 
be optimal in most cases, lack 
of knowledge of some aspects 
of English culture.

The effect of English is the impact or negative influence this language has had above other languages, in other words, English is destroying more than half of the languages in the world, is for this reason that linguist David Crystal warns (in a widely-quoted phrase), if, in 500 years, English is the only language left to be learnt, “it will have been the greatest intellectual disaster that the planet has ever known”. Fifth, globalization has promoted language policies that aim to end the use of major and subordinate national languages in the European Union. Finally, Crystal believes that hegemony of English in various spheres, including the Internet, is inevitable, and the result of a series of historical circumstances that have led to the spread of the language.

This circle includes countries such as India, Nigeri, Singapore, etc. Finally, the expanding circle where English is learnt as foreign language. It Includes countries such as Poland, Japan, Mexico, Hungary, etc.
