ASSURE
A- 20 4th grade students. 11 girls and 9 boys. 2 Muslims, 3 Jews, 2 African American, the rest
are Christian.
S- The students will have a Knowledge of Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanza, and Ramadan by using
information from lectures, videos, music, and research on the computer to write an extended
paragraph on each one of the holidays by the end of the unit.
S- I will be doing lectures on each one of the four holidays. We will also sing traditional holiday
songs and watch videos about the holidays. The students will also go to the computer lab to do
research on the holidays to do more research to write their paragraphs.
Media- videos and songs
Materials- computer, projector, and computer lab
U- The students will listen and participate to the lectures and watch the videos. They will also
sing the songs. They will also be doing research in the computer lab.
R- The students will participate in the lectures and singing the songs. They will also research on
the computer to write their paragraphs.
2. E- The students will be evaluated on the paragraphs that they write ate the end of the unit. They
will write an extended paragraph on each of the four holiday's traditions. They will be using the
knowledge from discussion, videos, songs, and their own research.
