1. Day 4
A- I am teaching a Spanish 1 class in a public high school. The students ages range from
14 to 18. Their are 20 students in the class 11 girls and 9 boys. Half the class is African
American.
S- Students will learn about the stem changing verbs in the present tense. They will do
this by listening to a podcast and writing them on paintstrips. Their will also be a big
review of everything using the Smart board. I will say a phrase in English and the
students will come up and write it in Spanish on the smart board. At the end of the class
they will post a sentences using a stem changing verb onto he class facebook page. By
the end of the class they will be able to do this with 100% accuracy.
S- Students will listen to the podcast. They will then begin a paint strip and be assigned a
stem changing verb. The will then write the different forms of the verb on a different
color. The we will have a review using the smart board. I will say a phrase in English
then the student will come up and write it in Spanish. At the end of class the students will
write a sentence using a stem changing verb on the class Facebook page.

U- Students will listen tot he podcast and other supplemental lectures. They will also
participate in the paintstrip activity, Smartboard review, and Facebook post.
R- Students will have to pay attention to podcast and other lectures. They will have to
participate in the paintstrip activity, Smartboard review, and facebook post.
E- Students will be evaluated on the painstrip activity, Smartboard review, and facebook
post. For knowledge and understanding of the material.
