Final
Reflections
Some
of
the
memories
I
have
from
my
secondary
school
life
have
to
do
with
my
first
experiences
with
a
foreign
language.
In
similar
ways,
in
order
to
make
an
impact
on
the
students'
learning
experience,
careful
and
thoughtful
planning
is
essential.
Objectives
for
the
English
class
are
based
on
the
school
general
curricula.
Students
were
starting
with
the
unit
"Past
Simple
Tense",
so
contents
were
directly
connected
to
this
grammar
point.
Teaching
points
were
based
on
the
use
of
new
structures,
such
as
linkers,
adverbs,
expression
of
quantity,
and
the
use
of
the
tense
using
different
contexts
and
skills.
I
think
it
was
significant
for
learners,
since
most
of
them
appreciated
the
fact
I
was
speaking
English
in
class.
Some
others
felt
more
comfortable
using
the
L1
but
soon
they
started
to
talk
and
get
more
confidence.
On
the
other
hand,
I
think
that
some
improvements
should
be
done,
for
example
getting
to
know
the
students
more
and
the
things
they
like
in
order
to
choose
more
meaningful
contexts.
Group
work
is
also
effective
when
working
with
shy
students
specially
in
speaking
activities.
If
I
had
to
do
this
again,
I
would
implement
some
changes
but
overall
it
was
a
really
good
experience.
The
fact
that
I
had
to
teach
at
the
beginning

2. an
academic
term
was
also
an
advantage,
because
students
were
not
anxious
about
getting
their
grades.
I
feel
really
satisfied
with
this
experience,
I
was
very
excited
to
work
with
teenagers,
and
the
group
responded
better
than
I
had
expected
and
that
was
really
nice,
I
could
stablish
a
good
feedback
with
them
and
discipline
was
never
an
issue.
The
activities
seemed
to
be
new
for
them,
and
helped
me
establish
a
new
approach
to
class
work.
I
had
complete
freedom
to
plan
my
lessons,
but
the
teacher
helped
me
a
lot
by
providing
some
tips
on
the
characteristics
of
the
group
itself.
Finally,
I
want
to
express
my
gratitude
and
satisfaction
with
the
whole
experience.
I
was
able
to
offer
students
with
the
opportunity
to
learn
English
in
a
slightly
different
way,
the
teacher
who
made
observations
of
my
lessons
felt
involved
in
the
while
process,
she
felt
she
could
renew
her
teaching
style
and
I
built
more
self-‐confidence.
Maybe
this
new
point
of
view
of
teaching
helped
us
both
teachers,
it
reminded
us
why
are
we
teaching
a
foreign
language
and
made
us
discover
new
ways
of
getting
our
students
closer
to
novel
features
of
the
outside
world.
