  • 8. IMPORTANT!     The  format  in  which  the  stages  are  presented  will  vary  according  to  the  teaching   approach  or  combination  of  approaches  you  decide  to  base  your  lesson  plan  upon.     ➢ To  be  completed  by  your  tutors:     Lesson  plan   component   Excellent   5   Very  Good   4   Good   3   Acceptable   2   Below   Standard   1   Visual   organization     x         Coherence  and   sequencing       x       Variety  of   resources  –   Learning  styles       x       Stages  and   activities       x       Teaching   strategies       x       Language   accuracy     x         Observations   The  idea  of  working  with  the  sense  of  sight  is  great.         Revise  the  context  that  you  are  using  to  teach  new  words.  The  words   are  actually  presented  in  isolation,  there  is  no  link  among  them.  Why   don`t  you  invent  a  story?  For  example,  you  may  say  you  were  on  a  car   trip  and  those  were  the  things  you  saw.  You  could  take  a  toy  car,   some  binoculars  and  realia.    To  make  it  more  challenging  (and  game-‐ like),  you  may  just  show  them  a  little  part  of  the  objects  and  ask  the   students  to  tell  you  what  they  can  see  (at  the  practice  stage).     These  are  just  some  ideas  you  may  take  into  account  for  this  lesson   and  for  further  ones.
