2. Alabama Shakes
The band Alabama Shakes is a successful blues rock band
from the USA. The band currently consists of lead singer and
guitarist Brittany Howard, guitarist Heath Fogg, bassist Zac
Cockrell, and drummer Steve Johnson. And as you can see
through the way the band members are all dressed their
fashion sense and their music are both extremely indie. This
might heavily influence their target audience. i would imagine
all who listen to the music by Alabama Shakes, will dress in a
similar senses to the members them selves.
Comfortably/indie/controversial.
5. 16 and above
The target audience for this song in my opinion will be for
people aged 16 and above. The reason I believe this is
because some of their music is explicit and so paged aged
under 16 may not be familiar with or even have the ability to
listen to swear words. Other than that the meaning behind the
lyrics and the words in raw form occasionally discuss deep and
thought provoking topics, something someone under the age
of 16 wouldn’t ordinarily understand or wish to listen to.
6. Both genders
I wouldn’t have though after listening to the bands music for
some time that there would be a specific gender would
enjoyed the music more than the other. For example I believe
a band I know named “the 1975” has more of a female
dominated audience apposed to another Band called the
“stereophonics” would I would have said the audience was
male dominated.
Having said that the band is primarily listened to in America
and are not as famous or listened to in the UK which makes it
difficult for me to ask around and discover for myself which
gender preferred the band as a whole.
