Examples Of Fairness And Humanity
Fairness and Humanity I played badminton since I was eight years old. In these ten years, I insist on the love of badminton. When I got into HFI, I
became the leader of school badminton club, where I learnt that being a leader should be serious and cautious. Last year, when our club was holding a
Guangdong badminton competition in Haizhu district, we got a problem. Because of our carelessness, one of the rules we wrote is ambiguous and there
was a conflict between two teams. However, this experience gave me the answer of a question that confused me for a long time: fairness or humanity?
"That team wants to replace a player with their best one! This is totally unacceptable!" the coach of team A said with anger. Before I had the chance to
respond, the coach from their opponent team B approached, "We gotta follow the rules. It is clearly stated in the competition rules that 'in condition of a
player's injury, one player in two matches in allowed'." "How do you define 'injured'? If you can still play the game, then you are not injured. If you let
your best player to play twice, it is definitely not fair", coach of team A continued to question the authenticity of team B's statement. ... Show more

The "injured" player finished the game. Nevertheless, watching him fought so hard, I had mixed feelings. It reminded me of my past experience. It was
a summer vacation. My ankle inflamed since I over trained myself, burning myself out only to improve my skills and speed. Meanwhile, our team
needed me in a competition and there was no substitute for me. I couldn't disappoint my team members and forced myself to complete the game.
During the competition, my bad ankle clearly slowed me down. I was desperate, wishing to turn the tide but my body just couldn't move flexibly. I felt
like a wild horse tightly strapped by reins. Hopelessness, devastation and despair just flooded in. Injury is every badminton player's nightmare so I felt

Introduction
Skill acquisition refers to the process that athletes use to learn or acquire a new skill. A skill can be defined as an act or task such as typing or drawing,
or in the instance of sport, catching, throwing, and running. (http://www.hsc.csu.edu.au/pdhpe/core2/focus2/focus4/4017/fac2_4.htm)
The assignment we have been given this term is to identify and classify the skills that are required for better performance with that of a professional
player. Using appropriate resources plan and evaluate methods of skill improvement.
Open skills: sports such as Netball, Football, and Hockey involve open skills. The environment is constantly changing and so movements have to be
continually adapted. Skills are predominantly perceptual ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Correct use of feedback and applying multiple intelligences to the badminton skill matrix, can significantly improve my skill, this is because according
to my multiple intelligences results and personal experience I find it easy to learn and adapt new skills via visual learning and feedback from
peers/teacher. Due to my lack to of experience and skill in badminton I am best of learning via distributive practice which means I learn a multitude of
skills frequently with short rest intervals, as it creates a more controlled environment that helps with players such as myself adapting to the sport.
Continuous feedback is most effective to my learning ability, as I can change my execution of the skill so I can do it properly and correctly, or I can

Where Does This Sport Happened?
1. Where does this sport come from? How is it played? Basic characteristics.
This sport originally comes from India, Asia. Some English English soldiers saw the game in India and bring it to England around 1875. The game was
also introduced to Canada. In 1895, the rules were made.
Badminton is a racquet sport played using racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net. Points are scored by striking the shuttlecock with the racquet and
landing it within the opposing side's half of the court. Each side may only strike the shuttlecock before it passes over the net. Play ends once the
shuttlecock has struck the floor or if a fault has been committed.

A Badminton Overhead Clear Shot
In this essay I will discuss, de–construct and analyze the techniques used by my partner, Luke Wynne when performing the badminton overhead clear
shot using anatomical and biomechanical analysis. Throughout the essay I will give critical feedback and feed forward on four different phases, the
preparation phase, execution phase, contact phase and the follow through phase. I will discuss the functional anatomy of how my partner can better his
whole performance to become closer to the optimum performance that elite athletes play at, also known as the autonomous stage of learning. I will then
finish my essay with a conclusion to sum up everything that I have discussed. PREPERATION The first stage when performing a badminton overhead
clear is the preparation stage; I will discuss the ideal performance, and then compare the ideal to my partner's performance. In the beginning of the shot
the player raises his arms above his head using the posterior deltoid. This movement involves the flexion of the elbow using the biceps. The pectoral
major and the biceps are the agonists in this movement with the antagonists being the triceps, latissimiss dorsi and the trapezius. This movement
involves the use of the third class lever, with the load being the racquet, and effort being the triceps and the fulcrum being the elbow, which is a hinge
joint. Also at this stage, the non–racquet arm is fully extended pointing at the shuttle using the trapezius and the interior deltoid to extend the

Rotator Cuff Injury Research Paper
Though Badminton not very popular in the US, it is an Olympic sport played by over 200 million people worldwide. Badminton is population among
Asian and European countries, most notably Britain with 4 million players. Conditioning for badminton is extremely important considering during a 3
match game a player will change directions at least 350 times at angle angle of 90 degrees or more. A player will also typically strike the shuttle 400
times during the 3 match games, around 150 of said strokes are full arm swings. However, with continual rapid movement injuries are bound to occur
such as: tennis elbow, a sprained ankle, or a rotator cuff tear .
Tennis elbow is characterized as an injury to a muscle or tendon on the outside of the elbow. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is caused by stress due to overstretching or a rapid joint twist. It is also caused by overuse and repetitive movement because they put significant stress
on the tendons, and thus cause them to tear. The symptoms of a rotator cuff tear include: pain in the shoulder and arm, and weakness and sensitivity in
the shoulder. Signs of a rotator cuff include: difficulty moving one's shoulder, inability to sleep on one's shoulder, and snapping, or cracking sounds
when the shoulder is moved . A rotator cuff tear can be treated by resting one's joint and avoid painful movement, and using a sling; by applying ice to
one's shoulder two to three times a day to reduce pain and swelling; and by taking an nonsteroidal anti–inflammatory drug, such as Advil or Aleve. If
the rotator cuff tear is severe it may require surgery as a treatment. Range of motion exercises and stretching are an important part of treatment and
rehabilitation, in order to maintain joint movement in the shoulder. Rehabilitation for a rotator cuff tear also includes: attending physical therapy
sessions; strengthening exercises, which isolate the rotator cuff; using exercise bands. A rotator cuff tear can be prevented by strengthening one's core
muscles upper back muscles, and shoulder muscles. A rotator cuff tear can also be prevented by stretching one's chest muscle after playing a sport, such

exercises, job–related manual work and household duties. "Sport" is also defined as part of physical activities like tennis, social dance, hiking, etc.
According to Miyashita, Burns, & Stensel (2006), their research showed that participating in moderately or vigorously intense physical acitivity for
three times a week and an accumulation of 30 minutes per day can also reach similar health benefits, which target on all age groups. There are three

A player would get a penalty kick because the other player had done something to the other players. We do throw in football because the ball has been
kicked out of the pitch. A goal kick is a kick that the goalkeeper takes when the ball passes over the goal line or back line. Corner happened because the
other team had the ball off. Badminton.... A match is the best of 3 games each of 21 points. A point is scored with every serve. When a side is winning a
rally a point is added to their score. When both sides get to 20, the side that gains a 2 point lead wins. When both sides reach 29, the side that gets to 30
first wins. Single rule: When the person serving has an odd score, they serve from the left; an even score they serve from the right. In singles, when a
rally is won, the person who served wins the point then serves from the other service court. If the person who did not serve wins the rally, they win the
point and then get to serve.A badminton court look like a rectangle and it had a square in the middle with it got a line going across. Ref:

Essay on The Importance of Sports
Think of society as a living organism which every part of it contributes to its survival. This view is the functionalist perspective, which every parts of a
society are structured to maintain its stability. Functionalist regard sports as an almost religious institution that uses ritual and ceremony to reinforce the
common values of a society.
In 1968, Robert Merton made an important distinction between manifest and latent functions. Manifest functions of institutions are open, stated,
conscious functions that involve intended, recognized, consequences of an aspect of society. Taking sports as an example, manifest function of sports is
to keep people stay fit and healthy. It is an objective that widely and well known by everyone. In ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In other words, sports could stay us strong, good, and feeling well.
Apart from that, sports serve as a safety valve for both participants and spectators, who are allowed to shed tension and aggressive energy in a socially
acceptable way. It provides them an alternative way to consume their excess energy and spend their leisure time. Thus, avoid them from being involved
in activities that will go against the norms. It is better to do something useful than getting involve in terrible things like drug trafficking, drug abuse,
illegal car racing or prostitution.
Moreover, sports would be perfect as a choice for recreation. We can hang out with friends and family in a meaningful way. It would not be too costly,
since badminton racket and shuttlecocks are affordable. Besides that, since they could to be found in stores, it would not be a problem or a hardship to
get the related sports equipment. Practicing sports as a recreation would help in building up the relationship among friends and family members. Since,
badminton is a play that could be even performed by kids. It is suitable for a family recreation. Parents could enjoy the time spent with their children. It
is certainly a better choice of relaxing rather than shopping or fooling around and waste time. No doubt, it

Symbols In Zadie Smith's 'Embassy Of Cambodia'
What does "struggle" mean to the average person? It may mean writing a trying essay, preparing for a job interview, or even something as simple as
riding a bike. However, in "The Embassy of Cambodia," Zadie Smith shows readers the real meaning of struggle through the main character, an unpaid
housemaid by the name of Fatou. There are many protruding themes in the story, but the most prevalent moral of the story is, no matter how many
times the big guy may knock one down, they must always get up, and never let him win. In "The Embassy of Cambodia," the game badminton and the
Embassy itself are symbols for Fatou and the struggles she faces every day. In the story, each chapter is labeled with what seems to be a badminton
score, ending with 0–21, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Fatou lingers by the Embassy every Monday before her swim despite the risks. The reader gets the sense that she is drawn to the Embassy because it
reminds her of herself. Similarly, the "Old and New People of Willesden" and Andrew are intrigued by Fatou and drawn to her (Smith 13). The
Embassy, on the other hand, gets much more attention. The Embassy is a normal building, but it's placed in a peculiar location. Embassies are typically
in the heart of a city, or at least near it, but this Embassy is located in the middle of the suburbs by a health center and a retirement home. This
mysterious building is out of place in the world, much like how Fatou is out of place in her world. She traveled from place to place with her father
before finally settling in London to be an underappreciated housemaid that barely passes as a human rather than a slave. As a result, she has built tall
walls like the Embassy's and has become reserved and closed off to a degree. Despite the fact that Andrew is a nice, intelligent, dorky guy that Fatou
really wants to like "some part of her rebel[s] against him, some unholy part" (Smith 8). This reflects the exclusive closed off nature of the Embassy.
When the Embassy gets a basketball goal in the back of it Fatou waits and waits for someone to play basketball, but it never does. She's waiting for
change. The goal moves closer to her and still, nothing happens. The change in the Embassy

Generally, Badminton Club consists of 4 division, which are 'Competition', 'Training', 'Human Resources', and 'Inventation' Each division has its own
unit. In total, Badminton has 8 units, which are managed by the Board of Management.
In the author's perspectives, the way the organization is structured brings out some problems. For example, their work didn't produce maximum results.

on my big save. My heart's still pounding in my chest, the blood in my veins pumping from the adrenaline. As I look around, taking in the excitement

This will allow students to familiarize themselves with the racket grip, as well as gauging their own ability to cover ground on the court. (4)
Section II – Drive Shot
Skill Technique – The drive is a shot hit hard at a horizontal angle, typically near the sideline of the court, while the shuttlecock is about at the level of
the player between the shoulder and the knees (5). Keep racket arm up in front of the chest and spread weight evenly between the feet. In the forehand
drive, side step toward the shuttle, leading with your racket leg, pointing the racket toward the sideline (2). Lock the wrist and draw the racket back in a
sidearm motion. Then, put your weight on the racket leg, swing the racket forward, and unlock and flick wrist when contacting the shuttle. If the
shuttlecock is on the side opposite of the racket, either switch racket hands, or crossover with the racket–side leg and drive it backhanded.
Learning cues – Lead with racket leg and sidestep toward shuttle. Spread weight and swing sidearm. Flick wrist on contact
Teaching Styles – Have student get racket and shuttle cock, and face the wall, standing five feet back from it. Draw a horizontal line across the wall
about three feet up from the ground. Instruct students to underhand serve the shuttle into the wall, making sure to strike the wall above the horizontal
line, with enough velocity for the shuttle to return close enough to the student to hit it again without needing to

College Admissions Essay: I Am Pursuing My Dreams
The breathtaking emotions that embrace me every time the city stares at me right in my eyes, is what draws my attention to the field. I desire a

My artistic multicultural worldview is multi–factorial as my upbringing was rather unorthodox. I am a German citizen, born to Chinese parents and

people happier in their depressing hustle and bustle of life.I started my path down the vast upside–down turrets of that pagoda and truly understood
that: "art meets function". Having been exposed to eastern and western architectures, I shaped my own opinion and thought it is no longer right to hold

Persuasive Essay About Sport
There are a lot of sports in school that you can participate in. Unfortunately, you cannot join all of the sports at the same time such as: basketball,

Trust me. I had to once forfeit my doubles match because I got a very bad cramp, which caused my team to lose a point. Second, when getting called
out to play, warm up with your partner or with the other opponent when playing singles. Warm up by doing the three important techniques: smashes
(hitting the birdie straight down to the ground, but over the net), drops (barely hitting the birdie over the net), and drives (aiming for the opponents'
faces, but not actually hitting them). Doing this will help your side and the other side to get used to the net and court. Some school's nets are higher or
lower and some has bigger or smaller courts. After warming up for about three to five minutes, have one player hit a birdie up in the air to see which
way the birdie will point to when it lands. If the birdie is pointing to your side, you will be able to serve it first and vice versa. Third, before serving,

So, 2015 AEP was no different in the fact that I meant some really exceptional people. I meant a couple and the wife grew up in Costa Rica. This is
significant because I want to retire in that region. I meant a lady from Grenda, she made me this bread for Thanksgiving that was delicious. I meant
another couple that I can not say enough about because it seems they have lived all over the world and they have these amazing pieces in their home

out with their uniqueness. Their home was eccentric and their hobbies caught me of guard. Do not take this in the wrong way, different gives me the

Tension In Football Essay
The number two unsung hero of the badminton equipment is the badminton string. Afterall, it is the string that is in contact with the shuttle on every
stroke. How the string interacts with the shuttle is crucial to the feel of each stroke. Depending on your skill level and the style of your game, you
should pick a string and tension that is suitable for your game. String manufacturers usually have ratings of different string characteristics at the back of
the string package. Pick the items that are most important for your game. String tension affects the playability of the string as much as the string itself.
The general rule of thumb is that the harder you can hit, the tighter your tension can be. A higher tension rewards a hard hitting while

Muscular Endurance Research Paper
Muscular endurance is the capability to move one's part of the body repeatedly without being affected by fatigue. People who participate in games that
require having to sustain or repeatedly do an action for a long period of time need to have good muscular endurance in order to be successful and do
what they need to do in order to win without becoming weary. Badminton players will need to have a high degree of muscular endurance in order to
maintain a good performance throughout the whole match, which may last for about 45 to 75 minutes. Without great Muscular endurance, players will
become tired easily and therefore their shots become less accurate. This will affect the quality of their shots as well as the quality of their performance

When Fear Controls Your Life

When Fear Controls Your Life The path of life is not always smooth. There are ups and downs, sharp bends and unclear turns. Sometimes you are so
bent on your reaching your destination that you blind yourself to other opportunities that life presents. This was my predicament before I joined
college– an overzealous academician who was eager to conquer his dreams. Therefore, it came as a surprise when I learned that apart from attending
classes, I would be expected to participate in at least one sport co–curricular activity. This was my father's personal policy. He took it upon himself to
ensure that all his children developed their athletic skills. I fought against this ideology. I told him that I did not have an athletic bone in my body. I
even complained that adults are not supposed to be told what to do. I argued relentlessly. Needless to say, I lost miserably. "Co–curricular activities help
in the development of the mind and body," my father insisted–and took it upon himself to explain to a belligerent me. He even offered to go with me to
college to meet my coach. "I do not need babysitting," I said grudgingly. He then gave me a handbook and asked me to pick my sport. I knew I had lost
the fight. The sports offered at my college included: soccer, basketball, hockey, badminton, cricket, rugby, volleyball, and swimming. After much
thinking and critical analysis of each sport, I decided to settle for

Kota Kinabalu: We have heard numerous news about Datuk Lee Chong Wei's intention to retire early. Yet, The National shuttler, Datuk Lee Chong Wei

Examples Of Why I Want To Quit Soccer Essay
Does Your Child Want to Quit Soccer? Consider Other Summer Activities for Kids Soccer is perhaps one of the most popular summer sports for
Canadian children these days. Despite the fact professional soccer isn't as popular here in North America as it is elsewhere around the world, soccer's
emphasis on team play and its ability to get children moving has earned it top marks in the minds of many educators and parents. As soccer's popularity
grows in North America, so too does the number of children being signed up for little league games and soccer camps. While many children enjoy a
good game of soccer, some of them don't like the atmosphere of these activities. Worse, some kids decide they "hate" soccer and want to quit. What's a

summer activities for kids to participate in around Ontario. If your child doesn't want to play soccer, you can easily explore many other options until
you find something your child does enjoy! What Other Options Are There? One of the reasons parents are so distressed when their children say they
don't want to play soccer anymore is that they don't realize what other options they have. Soccer has earned a reputation as a great team–building
exercise and a vigorous activity. Parents rarely think of baseball as a vigorous physical activity, but when done correctly, it can be. A sports camp in

affective) and with the national standards for physical education (B. Dyson & S. Grineski, 2001). Another study done by two researchers in Finland

Summary on Aerobic and Anaerobic Endurance in Badminton
INTRODUCTION: Badminton requires a high level of energy to quickly move around the court, deliver effective shots and sustain a match. Knowing
how this energy is generated is crucial. All other things being equal, the player with more stamina will most likely win a match in baminton. This is
because while good stroke skills, effective shot placements and fast footwork are important characteristics in a good player, fitness is necessary in
executing and sustaining these movements for the duration of a match. As a player's energy is depleted, his or her ability to perform also goes down.
The Nature of Badminton: Unlike marathon or jogging, moves in badminton vary from standing to slow and sudden actions. Predominantly, however,

The oxygen energy system is, therefore, responsible in providing energy to the muscles in aerobic sports or steady state activities, such as marathon or
long distance cycling. AIM OF AEROBIC AND ANAEROBIC ENDURANCE: Badminton is a popular sport that is played by individuals, same–sex
and mixed pairs. A fast–paced sport, the aim of the game is to hit the shuttlecock––a small, feathered ball––over a net so that it touches the ground on
the opposing team's side of the court. Fitness can play an important part in your enjoyment and success in badminton. AEROBIC ENDURANCE:
Badminton matches can be quite long, so aerobic fitness is an important part of the sport. To develop your aerobic fitness, jog, cycle, swim or row for
20 or more minutes at least three times a week. To ensure you get the most from your aerobic training, keep your heart rate between 60 percent and 90
percent of your maximum. ANAEROBIC ENDURANCE: Because of the start–stop nature of badminton, you will benefit from performing interval
training. Interval training consists of alternating between periods of high–intensity work and low–intensity recovery. For example, you might spring for
30 seconds and walk for 90 seconds. This type of training simulates the ebb and flow of a badminton match. MUSCULAR ENDURANCE: During a
badminton match, you will be required to run, lunge, jump and sprint for the duration of the game. To achieve this you

This factor was an advantage for me, as it caused my partner to go to the back of the court, giving me the time to get to the center of the court, and get
ready to move to any part of the court to which my partner might hit it into. Also, I made my partner think it was going to be a short serve as she didn't
look like she was going to hit the shuttle hard, since she uses her backhand technique the most. But the adjusting of her wrist gave control to the shuttle
getting it inside the court area. Sometimes, she gets confused and nervous and doesn't know how to act towards it, and ends up hitting the shuttle at the

be in my serves. Certainly, I will have to practice correctly and regularly in order to secure my win at badminton matches and the more benefits I will

The beneficial factor to me is that having a whole court will allow me to practice serves in any way I want. This means that I can perform short and
long serves from any side of the court. Similarly, having a large quantity of shuttles will make my sessions much more effective and will help me
achieve my goal. If I only have a limited number of shuttles available, most of my time will be spent gathering or collecting shuttles when I could be

taught them how to hit the birdie. During the lesson, Mr. Bradbury did not use any materials to help students understand the content. However, he did
mention during the interview that if students struggle even with the demonstrations he uses YouTube to help show other videos as visual help. Using
visual aids is a very powerful tool. This tool is used for Mr. Bradbury to show students with special needs or English Language Learners how to adapt

Fallacy Of Questionable Cause
In summary, the questionable cause fallacy emanates from erroneous reasoning that one thing causes another because of a regular association between
the two. The fallacy of questionable cause can be attributed to the lack of sufficient evidence in making particular claims. The fallacy of questionable
cause is a regularly committed fallacy because of the difficult nature of causal reasoning. Nevertheless, much care should be taken when making
conclusions on the causes of certain events. This paper has provided real life examples of the questionable cause fallacy. It is important to note that the
simultaneous occurrence of events does not prove the existence of a causal connection. The questionable cause fallacy takes the general form of

Sometimes, this effect can be direct, recursive, or inverse. Some of the variables are quantifiable whereas others are non–quantifiable. Most commonly,
mistakes are committed in attempting to assign specific numerical values to established facts. Concisely, a sample cannot explain various aspects of the
general population. The fallacy of questionable cause takes place whenever there is an assumption of a causal connection that is devoid of the relevant
proof. Mostly, causal connection claims are based only on correlation. The simultaneous occurrence of events does not proof the existence of a causal
connection. According to Kahane and Cavender, the prime minister in one of the example above fallaciously reasoned that badminton players were
actually spoiled (73). However, he could have verified his claims by comparing a set of players lavished with special gifts to those players who had not
been given such presents. In case the group that was pampered regressed in a manner that is worse than their non–pampered counterparts, the result
would go a long way in revealing that gifts were really affecting the players to the point of

Key Learning Principles
Good morning Mrs. Faulks today I will be discussing and analysing key principles of learning physical skills, factors impacting performance, stages of
skill learning and recommendations to improve performance. (pictures relevant to what you will be discussing).
The first key principle of learning physical skills is motor skills. A motor skill is an activity that involves voluntary muscular movement with the correct
degree of muscular control to complete a complex predetermined task. In out learning stage we use gross, fine, open and closed motor skills. Gross
motor involves movements of large muscles and the whole body, an example of this is a jump smash in badminton. Whereas Fine motor requires
greater precision in small muscles. For instance, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The factors that have impacted my performance in badminton are the following motivation, ability to process information, physical characteristics. The
first factor that impacts my performance in badminton is motivation. Motivation involves being active and being highly involved in a particular skill
that is needed to complete the sport correctly. Motivation is a major factor that impacts my performance this is shown through how I perform
badminton on different days. On days that I am motivated I succeed in doing some of the skills as they are taught and continue succeeding in skills that
I may struggle with. On days that I may not be as motivated skills that I find easy are much harder as I am not focussing on the skill and skills that I
already struggle with don't seem to work at all. Another reason motivation impacts my performance is because I don't engage with badminton as I do
with other sports so I find it hard to feel motivated as I don't necessarily enjoy this sport. The second factor that impacts my performance is my ability
to process information. For me personally I find that when I process information it doesn't always make sense to me and I struggle to understand what
is being said. This is impacting on my performance as I miss important information that leads to being able to do the skill properly. The third factor that
has impacted my performance is physical characteristics. When I

Physical Fitness : Ancient Greece And Egypt

Badminton originated in Ancient Greece and Egypt, but they knew it as battledore and shuttlecock. At this time rules weren't written in hard ink, it was
just a game played by children for fun. The bat was called the battledore, and the birdie was known as the shuttlecock. Players were supposed to hit the
shuttlecock with the bat and keep it in the air as long as possible, and the object of the game was to keep it from touching the ground. Badminton was
very popular in India, called poona in the eighteen hundreds. This game also became popular in England, due to British soldiers bringing it from India.
This game was widely played by the duke and other high class people. When brought to England it was renamed badminton. Badminton got its name
because the Duke's house was called Badminton. Years later their was a dispute over whether the Indian or the British rules were correct, because the
rules weren't official. This led to the creation of a badminton organization , who created official rules for the badminton game. Members included in the
organization were England, Wales, Ireland, Scotland, Denmark, Holland, Canada, New Zealand, and France, India was also an affiliate in 1996. Since
the program was established many tournaments have been played by common players and professionals. In addition both men and women alike were

Physical education courses also be called curriculum. The meaning of that are activities from learning and studies outside the classroom. Students get

Personal Narrative: A Career In Football
I love badminton, but because of being limited by my living environment, I did not have any chance to really experience formal badminton playing and

In the first week of being a sophomore, I summoned the courage to submit my badminton team application. I was worried because I had no any good

In the 3 months of the boy's season of my sophomore year, our coach, Mr. Kakuda only teach us 3 basic movements; gripping racket, clear shot, and a
little bit of feet movements. The rest were only having physical training, watching, and help pick the ball on one side. Those were all for my first boy
season.
I was very dissatisfied with my first season. I felt that I did nothing. My complaint led me to make the choice of being a manager in the girl's season.

Examples Of Fairness And Humanity

  • 1. Examples Of Fairness And Humanity Fairness and Humanity I played badminton since I was eight years old. In these ten years, I insist on the love of badminton. When I got into HFI, I became the leader of school badminton club, where I learnt that being a leader should be serious and cautious. Last year, when our club was holding a Guangdong badminton competition in Haizhu district, we got a problem. Because of our carelessness, one of the rules we wrote is ambiguous and there was a conflict between two teams. However, this experience gave me the answer of a question that confused me for a long time: fairness or humanity? "That team wants to replace a player with their best one! This is totally unacceptable!" the coach of team A said with anger. Before I had the chance to respond, the coach from their opponent team B approached, "We gotta follow the rules. It is clearly stated in the competition rules that 'in condition of a player's injury, one player in two matches in allowed'." "How do you define 'injured'? If you can still play the game, then you are not injured. If you let your best player to play twice, it is definitely not fair", coach of team A continued to question the authenticity of team B's statement. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The "injured" player finished the game. Nevertheless, watching him fought so hard, I had mixed feelings. It reminded me of my past experience. It was a summer vacation. My ankle inflamed since I over trained myself, burning myself out only to improve my skills and speed. Meanwhile, our team needed me in a competition and there was no substitute for me. I couldn't disappoint my team members and forced myself to complete the game. During the competition, my bad ankle clearly slowed me down. I was desperate, wishing to turn the tide but my body just couldn't move flexibly. I felt like a wild horse tightly strapped by reins. Hopelessness, devastation and despair just flooded in. Injury is every badminton player's nightmare so I felt what he ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Correct use of feedback and applying multiple intelligences to the badminton skill matrix, can significantly improve my skill, this is because according to my multiple intelligences results and personal experience I find it easy to learn and adapt new skills via visual learning and feedback from peers/teacher. Due to my lack to of experience and skill in badminton I am best of learning via distributive practice which means I learn a multitude of skills frequently with short rest intervals, as it creates a more controlled environment that helps with players such as myself adapting to the sport. Continuous feedback is most effective to my learning ability, as I can change my execution of the skill so I can do it properly and correctly, or I can figure out what I am doing ... • 7. A Badminton Overhead Clear Shot In this essay I will discuss, de–construct and analyze the techniques used by my partner, Luke Wynne when performing the badminton overhead clear shot using anatomical and biomechanical analysis. Throughout the essay I will give critical feedback and feed forward on four different phases, the preparation phase, execution phase, contact phase and the follow through phase. I will discuss the functional anatomy of how my partner can better his whole performance to become closer to the optimum performance that elite athletes play at, also known as the autonomous stage of learning. I will then finish my essay with a conclusion to sum up everything that I have discussed. PREPERATION The first stage when performing a badminton overhead clear is the preparation stage; I will discuss the ideal performance, and then compare the ideal to my partner's performance. In the beginning of the shot the player raises his arms above his head using the posterior deltoid. This movement involves the flexion of the elbow using the biceps. The pectoral major and the biceps are the agonists in this movement with the antagonists being the triceps, latissimiss dorsi and the trapezius. This movement involves the use of the third class lever, with the load being the racquet, and effort being the triceps and the fulcrum being the elbow, which is a hinge joint. • 21. Symbols In Zadie Smith's 'Embassy Of Cambodia' What does "struggle" mean to the average person? It may mean writing a trying essay, preparing for a job interview, or even something as simple as riding a bike. However, in "The Embassy of Cambodia," Zadie Smith shows readers the real meaning of struggle through the main character, an unpaid housemaid by the name of Fatou. There are many protruding themes in the story, but the most prevalent moral of the story is, no matter how many times the big guy may knock one down, they must always get up, and never let him win. In "The Embassy of Cambodia," the game badminton and the Embassy itself are symbols for Fatou and the struggles she faces every day. In the story, each chapter is labeled with what seems to be a badminton score, ending with 0–21, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Fatou lingers by the Embassy every Monday before her swim despite the risks. The reader gets the sense that she is drawn to the Embassy because it reminds her of herself. Similarly, the "Old and New People of Willesden" and Andrew are intrigued by Fatou and drawn to her (Smith 13). The Embassy, on the other hand, gets much more attention. The Embassy is a normal building, but it's placed in a peculiar location. Embassies are typically in the heart of a city, or at least near it, but this Embassy is located in the middle of the suburbs by a health center and a retirement home. This mysterious building is out of place in the world, much like how Fatou is out of place in her world. She traveled from place to place with her father before finally settling in London to be an underappreciated housemaid that barely passes as a human rather than a slave. As a result, she has built tall walls like the Embassy's and has become reserved and closed off to a degree. Despite the fact that Andrew is a nice, intelligent, dorky guy that Fatou really wants to like "some part of her rebel[s] against him, some unholy part" (Smith 8). This reflects the exclusive closed off nature of the Embassy. When the Embassy gets a basketball goal in the back of it Fatou waits and waits for someone to play basketball, but it never does. She's waiting for change. The goal moves closer to her and still, nothing happens. The change in the Embassy ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Doing this will help your side and the other side to get used to the net and court. Some school's nets are higher or lower and some has bigger or smaller courts. There are ups and downs, sharp bends and unclear turns. Sometimes you are so bent on your reaching your destination that you blind yourself to other opportunities that life presents. This was my predicament before I joined college– an overzealous academician who was eager to conquer his dreams. Therefore, it came as a surprise when I learned that apart from attending classes, I would be expected to participate in at least one sport co–curricular activity. This was my father's personal policy. He took it upon himself to ensure that all his children developed their athletic skills. I fought against this ideology. I told him that I did not have an athletic bone in my body. I even complained that adults are not supposed to be told what to do. I argued relentlessly. Needless to say, I lost miserably. "Co–curricular activities help in the development of the mind and body," my father insisted–and took it upon himself to explain to a belligerent me. He even offered to go with me to college to meet my coach. "I do not need babysitting," I said grudgingly. He then gave me a handbook and asked me to pick my sport. I knew I had lost the fight. Knowing how this energy is generated is crucial. All other things being equal, the player with more stamina will most likely win a match in baminton. This is because while good stroke skills, effective shot placements and fast footwork are important characteristics in a good player, fitness is necessary in executing and sustaining these movements for the duration of a match. First Serve Research Paper This factor was an advantage for me, as it caused my partner to go to the back of the court, giving me the time to get to the center of the court, and get ready to move to any part of the court to which my partner might hit it into. Also, I made my partner think it was going to be a short serve as she didn't look like she was going to hit the shuttle hard, since she uses her backhand technique the most. But the adjusting of her wrist gave control to the shuttle getting it inside the court area. Sometimes, she gets confused and nervous and doesn't know how to act towards it, and ends up hitting the shuttle at the net. However, through external sources, I have found out that most badminton players prefer a backhand serve rather than a forehand serve, and this is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This means that I should frequently perform service drills during my training sessions. The more I practice serving, the more unfailing/consistent I will be in my serves. Certainly, I will have to practice correctly and regularly in order to secure my win at badminton matches and the more benefits I will receive from my practice sessions. To set up an ideal practice session for my serves, I will have to have a court, 20 to 30 shuttles, a friend to help me and motivation. This is what I think. The beneficial factor to me is that having a whole court will allow me to practice serves in any way I want. This means that I can perform short and long serves from any side of the court. Similarly, having a large quantity of shuttles will make my sessions much more effective and will help me achieve my goal. If I only have a limited number of shuttles available, most of my time will be spent gathering or collecting shuttles when I could be practicing. My serves were above average, in my point of view, but I hope I will train upon these elements largely as they are the very important part of a successful match in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 61. Classroom Observation Paper Observing Mr. Bradbury class showed me the foundation tools of what is needed to be a successful teacher. The sport that I observed in Mr. Bradbury's class was Badminton. Mr. Bradbury connected student's prior knowledge by relating the paddle they use in badminton to the paddle they used in pickle ball when they used it freshman year. This correlation would help students get a better understanding how to hit with a badminton paddle. Mr. Bradbury emphasized on having a high success rate in his class. So, the first task he assigned was to stand in general space and connect the birdie(ball) with the racquet without hitting it. this introduces the motion students will use to hit the birdie. He asked the students to practice doing this five times. Once the students finished ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Mr. Bradbury did a visual aid on how to hit the birdie so that they could get a visual on how it was supposed to be done. He also included a couple of cues that he emphasized to help students get a better understanding how to hit the birdie. If students struggled he would go up next to them and re– taught them how to hit the birdie. During the lesson, Mr. Bradbury did not use any materials to help students understand the content. However, he did mention during the interview that if students struggle even with the demonstrations he uses YouTube to help show other videos as visual help. Using visual aids is a very powerful tool. This tool is used for Mr. Bradbury to show students with special needs or English Language Learners how to adapt the curriculum. He went up to a student with special needs and helped him break down the steps on how to hit the birdie. The way Mr. Bradbury assessed his students was by checking if they were completing the cues. If he saw that students were unsuccessful hitting the birdie he would go up to them and demonstrated on the specific cue that would help him hit the birdie ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 63. Fallacy Of Questionable Cause In summary, the questionable cause fallacy emanates from erroneous reasoning that one thing causes another because of a regular association between the two. The fallacy of questionable cause can be attributed to the lack of sufficient evidence in making particular claims. The fallacy of questionable cause is a regularly committed fallacy because of the difficult nature of causal reasoning. Nevertheless, much care should be taken when making conclusions on the causes of certain events. This paper has provided real life examples of the questionable cause fallacy. It is important to note that the simultaneous occurrence of events does not prove the existence of a causal connection. The questionable cause fallacy takes the general form of association ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sometimes, this effect can be direct, recursive, or inverse. Some of the variables are quantifiable whereas others are non–quantifiable. Most commonly, mistakes are committed in attempting to assign specific numerical values to established facts. Concisely, a sample cannot explain various aspects of the general population. The fallacy of questionable cause takes place whenever there is an assumption of a causal connection that is devoid of the relevant proof. Mostly, causal connection claims are based only on correlation. The simultaneous occurrence of events does not proof the existence of a causal connection. According to Kahane and Cavender, the prime minister in one of the example above fallaciously reasoned that badminton players were actually spoiled (73). However, he could have verified his claims by comparing a set of players lavished with special gifts to those players who had not been given such presents. In case the group that was pampered regressed in a manner that is worse than their non–pampered counterparts, the result would go a long way in revealing that gifts were really affecting the players to the point of ... My Interest In Badminton I have had many different hobbies growing up, but only a few has remained an integral part of my life. –Reading I remember being brought to the public library as a child by my mother. Having free reign over the choices of books I could borrow, I can recall emulating my older sister and choosing from the young adults section despite being in lower primary. Since I was reading books above my standard, I met with many phrases that I could not comprehend. However, for each word I did not understand, I remember using a dictionary to find out what it meant. I believe my characteristic of curiosity and wanting to acquire knowledge allowed me to build up a strong foundation in English. In Secondary school, my class English teacher came up with a reading list of encouraged novels and words to read up on. I endeavoured to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Having tried badminton only once in primary school, it was left to the back burner with other sports that was introduced aggressively in secondary school such as captain ball and also because our physical education teachers focused on physical fitness due to compulsory NAPFA tests. What sparked my interest in Badminton was watching a match between Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei during the 2014 Asian Games. Watching both highly skilled players trade a multitude of shots on the court with their attention and focus only narrowed down to the shuttlecock amazed me. The way they could keep the audience fixated to their seats and riveted on their game left me in awe. Their ability and concentration influenced me to pick up Badminton as my co–curricular activity in Junior College, despite having no prior experience with it. Luckily, I managed to pass the try–outs and became a member of the Badminton CCA. Although I was technically weaker compared to my peers when it came to the intricacies of the play, I took the additional effort and initiative to take up supplementary badminton lessons to improve my ... Key Learning Principles Good morning Mrs. Faulks today I will be discussing and analysing key principles of learning physical skills, factors impacting performance, stages of skill learning and recommendations to improve performance. (pictures relevant to what you will be discussing). The first key principle of learning physical skills is motor skills. A motor skill is an activity that involves voluntary muscular movement with the correct degree of muscular control to complete a complex predetermined task. In out learning stage we use gross, fine, open and closed motor skills. Gross motor involves movements of large muscles and the whole body, an example of this is a jump smash in badminton. The factors that have impacted my performance in badminton are the following motivation, ability to process information, physical characteristics. The first factor that impacts my performance in badminton is motivation. Motivation involves being active and being highly involved in a particular skill that is needed to complete the sport correctly. Motivation is a major factor that impacts my performance this is shown through how I perform badminton on different days. On days that I am motivated I succeed in doing some of the skills as they are taught and continue succeeding in skills that I may struggle with. On days that I may not be as motivated skills that I find easy are much harder as I am not focussing on the skill and skills that I already struggle with don't seem to work at all. Another reason motivation impacts my performance is because I don't engage with badminton as I do with other sports so I find it hard to feel motivated as I don't necessarily enjoy this sport. The second factor that impacts my performance is my ability to process information. For me personally I find that when I process information it doesn't always make sense to me and I struggle to understand what is being said. This is impacting on my performance as I miss important information that leads to being able to do the skill properly. The third factor that has impacted my performance is physical characteristics. Personal Narrative: A Career In Football I love badminton, but because of being limited by my living environment, I did not have any chance to really experience formal badminton playing and practice until I was a sophomore. In the first week of being a sophomore, I summoned the courage to submit my badminton team application. I was worried because I had no any good foundations of sports. Fortunately, I became one of five newcomers in the boy's team. In the 3 months of the boy's season of my sophomore year, our coach, Mr. Kakuda only teach us 3 basic movements; gripping racket, clear shot, and a little bit of feet movements. The rest were only having physical training, watching, and help pick the ball on one side. Those were all for my first boy season. I was very dissatisfied with my first season. I felt that I did nothing. My complaint led me to make the choice of being a manager in the girl's season. Being the manager means that I could have more time to watch the top member's skills and movements during the helping of training and games. I also took this chance to learn badminton game scoring and ask for advice from the top members about badminton skills. I felt that I was a sponge which absorbed a lot of skills. ...
