PART II: Public Health Risk Assessment: The health risk assessment is typically described as consisting of four basic steps: 1) hazard identification, 2) exposure assessment, 3) dose-response assessment, and 4) risk characterization. Explain these steps. Solution 1.) Hazard identification: Based on past history , data available and various tools available possible risks are identified and are listed to follow further steps 2.) Exposure assessment : This is mainly done to identify the intensity of exposure of particular agent to a risk. Based on the intensity (quality and quantity of exposure), analysis is done in this step. 3.) Dose response assessment: Based on the harm done, quantity of medicine to be given is decided at this atage 4.) Risk characterization: All the risks identified are arranged in priorities and are characterised at high, medium and low risks.
